This pack originally began as part of an OFP addon I had been working on. The pack, in its first incarnation, comprised of a few simple M4 variants (SOPMOD configurations with ACOG, and aimpoint optics), and a few handguns. After some consideration, and seeing what the updated OFP engine could do in VBS1, I decided to port what weapons I had already made, and add many more to the pack, to make it more inclusive. This, I hoped, would make it more fitting with the diverse range of units on offer (and the even more soon to be released via third party and official authors) within VBS1.
Taking parts from my various other addons, and from famous OFP addon makers (some of which are now part of the VBS1 scene), with permission from all necessary parties including W.M. Crielaard, Earl & Suchey, Ballistic Addon Studios (BAS) and many other authors, I set about constructing a very expansive pack, with varying types of weapon, from handguns (H&K USP, MK23 USSOCOM, Glock 17C etc.), sub-machineguns (H&K MP5), assault rifles, (Colt M4A1s, AK47s), machine-guns (M249 Squad Automatic Weapon or SAW, M60E3, MK43 etc.) to light and heavy sniper-rifles (M21, M24, M82A1 Anti-Material Rifle).
A release date for the pack is still not set, as work still has some way to go. With VBS1 focusing primarily on realism due to its implications for training of law enforcement and military organisations, I must ensure all weapons are true, or as close as they can get, to their real-life counterparts. A task which will take some time.
As mentioned above, the pack will contain a wide variety of weapons. A full list will be available closer to release.
