Arremba_san_zorzo from the Pedagne Mod informed us of their projects and sent us some pictures of the work in progress on Pedagne Mod aerial units and troops.
What PedagneMOD, or better Arremba San Zorzo's doing in this long period, far from the last Arma release?
First of all, now i'm working on a air-chopper component for PedagneMOD, with NH90 and A129. This models was started as a simply convertion from OFP, but the quality was too low. So:
- about A129, i'm reworking completely, model and textures. I have added many partucular and more high definition of them. - about NH90, from the original model of OFP by AfrographX i have remodelled the exhaust part and reworked the mapping and textures. I have also added an Army version near old Navy version.
I'm also working on remodelling of VCC1, that is an italian version of M113 but with a different position of the gunner and of the crew. Also the external shellis different because have the sides inclined. Over, the great VILAS has given me the Leopard model, ready for the italian army version.
Last but not lost, PedagneMOD have also a close collaboration with Bush War Mod (BWC). With the collaboration with Obmar and above all, my mate Cimalex, i have maked SWAPO (angolan guerrilla units) and FAPLA (angolan regular units). But about them, it's right that Obmar speaks over. Here, i want to speak particularly about the MG belt maked for this units. I have maked a belt, modelled bullets (low poly) by bullets, where the most difficult was be the settings of the "weight", bullets by bullets with the fire of a close adherence of the MG belt to the body in a game animations. I have maked two versions: - one, with a cross form used by angolan units; - one, around the neck that i will use in South African Defence Force units that i'm about to start with Obmar, and that i will use also in an upgrade (with desert camo too) of PedagneMOD's Italian Soldier units.
Sakura-chan has released a AH-6 littlebird "mo'guns" addon and the model MLOD on the BI Forums.
I started this addon in an attempt to overcome the age old limit of one weapon muzzle per gun on a vehicle. I was successful, so I threw some extra weapons on it, fixed the glass clipping bug and tweaked the textures and materials a bit. I even added a new sound for it, so all in all its a nice little old school single unit addon. No scripts or compatibility, just play with it. Its good against convoys and stuff, and with the hellfires it can take out a tank. The M134s fire like there are actually two guns there. I know someone already released a scripted version of this, but I did this mainly as a technical experiment to see if it could be done without scripts. ... if anyone wants, here is the mlod (editable) model, plus the model.cfg and config.cpp
Rip31st from the WW2-Normandy Mod has released a WW2WARFARE mission on the BI Forums.
WW2 WARFARE: FEATURES ... -THIS MAP IS HUGE! BE SMART AND TAKE A PAIR OF FUEL TRUCKS WITH YOU TO PIGGY BACK! -YOU CAN MOVE YOUR MHQ via air. Ju52's and C47's can move the mhq once it's "picked-up" by a glider. It will place your vehicle 50 meters behind and 8 meters up in the air - May look ackward. -AI forces skill set at max. -Capture all towns or destroy enemy base. -Your own AI can be REMOVED from your control! YES! thats right! Remove through the "Team Status" action menu. Put a end to those miserable AI you own that get stuck, or Remove the "Where are you" relentless AI. Team status dialog modified to fit Normandy map parameters. -TEAM STATUS allows you to join other join other groups and manage AI if you become a leader in that group. In WW2Warfare commands from the chosen commander whether AI or a PVP overide your orders if you join another AI controlled or player controlled team. Team status allows you to view status of others including damage, health, ammo, etc. -You can join other units and become part of their mission at any time through the "Team Status" action menu. -Supply & Salvage trucks have fuel, ammo, & repair functions so they also have unlimited fuel for their own use so they shouldn't get stuck so often. -Opel blitz & WC51 dodge can repair, refuel and provide ammo and spawn various weapons when you are close to them. -Kublewagon and Jeep funtion as MHQ respectively and despawn randomly under AI command, this creates an unpredictable atmosphere where base defense is mandatory. Also MHQ's are hard to spot for enemy and friendlys =)
Bigmike has released his Special Forces M24 on our forums. This silenced sniper gun comes with an ammo box.
Good for Night time missions and sniping players with out them hearing where the shots come from has zoomable scope aswell comes with its own ammo box! plus custom ammo
Waxbutter from the SpecialDetachment Team has released on the BI Forums, a WW2 Mission Pack for Rip31st's WW2-Normandy Mod. This pack features 5 Coop missions to be played on Southern Sahrani, Schmalfeden and IC-Barbuda. Most objects on map where placed with 3DE editor. Therefor all missions need the file Pitchbank.sqf. This file is included in each mission !! Hopefully this wont be a problem for the authors of the 3D-Editor.
Also objects aquired by EditorUpdate_v102 are used. Therefor EditorUpdate_v102 is needed.
