Just a small update, few close up buldozer "renders" of basic soldier models and their equipment. More screenshots and WIP work you can find from fww2 forums.
Shown are a soviet officer with sheepskin coat (polushubok), Soviet greatcoat soldiers, Finnish winter camo soldiers.
Island is still WIP and is not shown on last screenshot, its still Winter Nogova.
We really are in need for somebody who actually can use Visitor, so if anybody has intrest be sure to PM me.
pennywise has informed us on our forums, that Bohemia Interactive have set up an official ArmA 2 Facebook page.
I would like to inform the community that there is now an Official Facebook Fanpage for Armed Assault. Those of you that are on Facebook, please feel free to join and help spread the word. We are looking forward to an awesome release this year!
Lord Gunny from Armamod.org has informed us, that he is working on new ArmA map called "Verbano".
I would like to announce that I'm working on a new scenery for ArmA. Its name is "Verbano", a geographic region of North Italy that includes a part of Lombardy, Piedmont and parts of two Swiss cantons (Wallis and Ticino). Scenery is very big, 150 km x 150 km. Don't worry if you don' see a lot of details in screenshots or you see only one type of texture, scenery is WIP, and I'm planning to make a new sat map. The Sat map texture actually comes from Terrain Starter pack of blacKKnight63. I hope there will be no problems to convert the scenery to ArmA 2...
stubblehopper has sent us a short YouTube video of his upcoming WW2 Frontline addons.
Here's a short vid showing some of the units about to be released in a WW2 Frontline update, very shortly. Its a bit of a teaser, as I'm still working on some items. Unfortunately I can't release all of the items in the vid, as they are straight ports from Operation Flashpoint to Arma. But, it should give you some idea of what I want to achieve in the near future, as I'll be starting a ww2 Russian front mod for Arma 2, just as soon as BIS release the modding tools. If anyone out there wants to help, I'd be glad to hear from them, as making a mod is a lot of hard work. Anyway, enjoy!
The Hellenic Warfare Mod finally released their HWM Addon Pack 4.0 on their site. This new pack features the AH64A in 3 different versions, in Greek, Us and RACS! This pack also includes a selection of Markers that can be very useful for the mission makers, and 4 missions.
If you don't have the HWM version 3.0 already installed you can get the 2 separate needed files from the HWM website download section.
This pack also includes a selection of Markers that can be very useful for the mission makers. Also as we've promissed we've made all the Air vehicles (AH64A/UH1H) compatible with XEH. We've also created a special pbo installation structure that can be more flexible as far as the modfolders (refer to the manual for more installation information).
This pack was the hard effort from a combination of people, except for us the core team (Aplion, Mainframe, Liongreek, Sparky, AnzacSASSteve)in this pack Dr Eyeball got involved in order to create the amazing MFD/TADS/FLIR/IHADSS system and bring our AH64A closer to the real thing. Also for the first time in this pack people can sample sounds from our Sound Engineer AnzcsasSteve in his first debut in HWM. All weapon and Air Vehicle sounds have been replaced with new ones. Another very important thing that we present in this pack, is the Mission Pack. In all the previous packs we had a gap into missions and although we can produce addons we have problems in mission making, due to limited men power. That mission pack is the result of the hard work of Contributors in our Mod. So we like to give our thanks to Wolfrug, Mathias Eichinger and UH60MG. We also like to thanks OFPEC for supporting our effort into this task. You can find more information about missions in the manual located inside the folder "missions" of the .7z
telejunky talked to Placebo and was told that as soon they are ready, the new BIS forums will catch sight of the earth. In the past there was a beta stage about a new desgin and right now it is being attached.
Also Matt Rochelle informed us that the ArmA2 blog has been updated with a new article called "Few small notes about the events of previous months."

We are sure that many of our vistors were missing the USAF working horse, also known as the B-52 in Armed Assault. Well if we have a look at the BI Forum WIP topic, we can see that Gnat is working on adding the B-52 to the game.
