Brainbug has released an updated Ghillies for a change texture pack for mission makers on the BI Forums.
Ever been annoyed that the sniper's camo doesn't fit into your mission's environment? Now you can do what every good sniper (and chameleon^^) does: Adapt to the environment as good as possible. Here you can find an assortment of textures (25 so far, until I (or you?) do even more) for the ghillie suit. Since BIS made the ghillie model with the feature of "hidden selections", it is really easy to give it a new look. As most of you probably know, you just need to write
this setObjectTexture [0,"\ghillies_for_a_change1.paa"];
(or 02.paa, 03.paa and so on) into the init field of a sniper unit in the editor (or you do the same in a script). That means you can have (theoretically) as many different snipers in one mission as you want. Works for all ghillies regardless which faction. Just try out which works best for the environment you are about to send your sniper into: Dark green woods, light grass, sandy and rocky deserts, brown leaves and twigs, urban ruins, even blue enamel decorated mosques.
Update: Now also with 5 more textures for winter maps.

 Killswitch has informed the community of the release of a CBA: Community Base Addons for A2, OA and CO v 0.6.0 on the BI Forums.
This release is intended for users of all three variations of Arma 2 - the original ArmA 2, ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead and ArmA 2: Combined Operations.
No matter which type of ArmA 2 installation you have, you need the @CBA mod folder loaded.
* If you use ArmA 2: Combined Operations, that's all you need - load just the @CBA mod folder. * If you have only Operation Arrowhead without ArmA 2 original, you are required to also use @CBA_OA mod folder. * If you have only ArmA 2 (Standalone, original), you are required to also use @CBA_A2 mod folder.
Key Changes CHANGED: CBA is now available as unified version; equal version again for ArmA 2 (Standalone) - yet requires @CBA_A2, and Operation Arrowhead (Standalone - yet requires @CBA_OA, or Combined Ops) CHANGED: XEH event handlers now inherit/override from eachother more natural like you'd expect from OO. FIXED: High Command missions would give the HC commander control of units outside his assigned command hierarchy. FIXED: Keyhandler could try to access array out of bounds. Legislator has released an OPA Backpacks 4 All v1.0 addon on the BI Forums.
While creating an mission having USMC force recons I noticed that they weren't able to carry the backpacks included in Operation Arrowhead. I was not satisfied with this situation so I had a look at the config values.
Now here it is: the ability to use the Operation Arrowhead backpacks for every ArmA II unit!
Please be aware that this mod doesn't add any new backpacks to certain units. It only adds a config value to the infantry baseclass so the units which are NOT included in Operation Arrowhead will have the ability to pick up and use the backpacks.
Known issues: - the backpacks don't appear on the back of the old units
Requirements: - ArmA II - ArmA II Operation Arrowhead
Sadly the old models aren't capable of showing the backpacks, but of course they appear in the inventory.

This Re-skin is based off the BIS LAV-25 From Arma 2 - This requires Arma 2, but is perfect for Combined Operations in Takistan

Our hard working Old Bear has released version 0.6beta of his nice looking [ADO] Tropica map on our forums.
After first release, I have done some changes on the map, and done some polishing ^^. This version is using a new Berghoff African foliage addon: brg_africa_1.20.
Other changes : - 2 existing villages extented, 2 villages created :Cruce et Tres caminos, a ruined village and a disused base created in the middle of the island. - a new North-South dirt track created, - shortcuts created through the mangroves and through some fences in order to help IA movements. The needed Tropica_objets is still WIP, the config has been enhanced but is still unfinished.

Charon Productions has released his Charon Urban Pack 0.8 for ArmA2 on the BI-Forums.
I had made this for Arma1, but never found the time to add the objects that i still wanted in there. Since many people wrote me about a possible release of this, i decided to release it as it is instead of it sitting on the hard drive.
The config has been adapted for Arma2, but a few models don´t work because they would need some work in oxygen for Arma2. Keep in mind this is really beta and not perfect, but maybe inspiring to anyone.

Christian.1987 has released version 1.1 of his Retextured CH-47 pack for Operation Arrowhead on the BI-Forums.
Now i can released the Version 1.1 of the Retex. Pack to the CH-47. Thx. too Lennard for make the Great Desert Look Textures.

Takko has released an updated TKS Buildings Pack on the BI Forums. Hey guys, as I said that I was going to update the TKS_Town objects, here is my update, this time with buildings from another country: Somalia. Now mapmakers have once again, more objects to choose from and options to give their map a truly unique feel next to the others with standard buildings. Sgt.Elias has send us the new update of his eliassound2 mod for Operation Arrowhead.
Here is the first update of eliassound2OA. it brings the chopper back in the soundmod.
AH1Z, AH64's and the UH60's only with new configsound. new RC sounds. (arab,ru,us) UH1Y, UH1H and the Ah6's with new soundfiles. (open chopper inside and outside sound nearly the same)
new weapon sound for: MAAWS, M110, KSVK, GL (like M79,M32) FNFAL with new sound and correct rate of fire. (no entry in RPT) SCARS's with new sounds and fix SCAR_CCO_SD shoot with normal sound and reload/dry sounds too loud. fix Mk16 is more powerfull than Mk17 in sounds.(but with entry in RPT)

Brainbug has released the Bundeswehr Flecktarn retexture mod on the BI-Forums. It adds KSK troops with helmet and brown vest and some variations in the uniform, also a VIP bodyguard, Pilot, Sniper, Crewman and a bunch of other soldiers based on BIS' default US soldiers. There are also optional replacement configs included.

Initially I only planned a retex of the Deltas, that's why I named the addon "delta_mod", but then later added many more units, but it was a bit late to change it to a more appropriate name, but that's a non-issue anyway. Of course by just applying different textures, the gear can't be realistic Bundeswehr stuff, but maybe you like it nonetheless. The Ghillie suit is thinned out so that you can see the basic flecktarn-camosuit under the grass/leaves from up close, and also has more variation in overall camo than the default walking haybale.

 Myke has released a Desert Su-34 for Takistan, Russia and UN addon and an updated GLT Missilebox 2.1 on the BI Forums
This adds 2 Su-34 desert to Takistan Army, 4 Su-34 desert to Russia and one Su-34 to the UN. Operation Arrowhead required, Combined Operations is recommended. Requires GLT Missilebox in the latest version.

- [fixed] AGM-154 wasn't included in the Missilebox addon, therefor causing a "missing files" error message.

Geordie has released a [OA] - UK Joint Helicopter Command addon featuring skins modifications of BIS AH-64 D and CH-47F on the BI Forums.
Due to BI Studios announcing the UK Armed Forces DLC, I have decided to get these out without further delay. Just a few quick Texture modifications to the BI stock textures to change these helicopters into RAF and AAC models. No lumps and bumps are present that distinguish the actual helicopters apart from the US versions.
