  Su-24MK Fencer D for Russia and Takistan Addon release    


[GLT] Myke has released a Su-24MK Fencer D for Russia and Takistan addon on the BI Forums.

This adds 4 Su-24 Fencer to the russian army and 4 Su-24 Fencer to the takistani army. Available loadouts for each faction: Bomber, Antitank, GPS/INS and Laserguided.
This is a donation by wld427 from the PRACS mod. The original model was made by Footmunch.

  Nogovan JAS39 and updated NAF Crew Pack Addon release    
R0adki11 has informed us about Nogovan Jas39 - Arma 2: Combined Operations addon release on the BI Forums. The needed Nogovan Crew addon is the updated 1.1 version.

The Nogovan Airforce is in a transition period of moving away from its Mig21 aircraft to the Jas39 multi role fighter.

  Six Updater 2.3 WIP Reports General    
Sickboy has informed us about Six Updater 2.3 WIP on DevHeaven.

Work is still ongoing on the Updater 2.3 Milestone.
The first beta is planned for next week, but everything is already available for your testing through auto-self-update!



The following features / changes have been implemented since the previous Updater 2.3 WIP Report:

* Several internal bug fixes and improvements
* Improved performance (more planned for 2.4 and 2.5)
* Introduced new startup parameter --execute and --execute=action1,action2,action3
*Prepared individual username and password support for repositories
*Prepared support for sub-foldered mods on custom-repos, like e.g expansion/beta
* Mission downloading moved to the end of the Six Updater Console update process.
*Improved gamespy server information fetching and processing.
*Small UI cleanups, improvements and alignments (lots more planned for 2.4 and 2.5)
- Datagrid buttons moved to top
- Added more tooltips and improved descriptions
- Maximize Window if detected resolution is smaller dan default window size
- Preset and Mod tooltips in the Treeview updated with more information like modfolder location, default preset profile, action and server, etc.
*Further improved datagrid filtering
- Prepared Hidden Mods filter
- Datagrid count boxes now show filtered_count/total_count when filters are active
- Search filter textboxes now contain descriptions when empty
*Server Browser improvements:
- Servers list can be filtered on 'EqualVersion' (game version)
- Servers list is now default filtered for recent servers (responded in past day)
- Servers list and Mods list will now show Red names when incompatible game versions detected
- Server mods are now properly filtered for default mods, incl mod strings like "ArmA 2" etc are properly converted
- Favorite servers are no longer removed on clean-up.
- Server admins can override server name through zsync server.yml
- UTF-8 support for server name from zsync server.yml, as well as individual fetch updated server info from gamespy. (Gamespy master data is still ASCII)

  Twelfth release of A&S ProMode (2011-04-01) Mission release    

Kju has informed us about the Twelfth release of A&S ProMode (2011-03-23).

This update adds the new random mode. This will create dynamically a different
mission area on each run. It is mainly to easily test community worlds with AnS.
The pack contains 59 worlds to choose from!

The picture shows the search for suitable locations visible in the debug mode:



From now on you will find a second pack in the file base called AnS_ProMode_OA_AI_DATE.7z.
This one has the AI mode active by default.

You can see the planned additions for the next release in the roadmap.

I am looking for people interested to submit new modsets for community mods,
like ACE2, FDF and others. It is a easy job - you only need to define the unit
class and its equipment: west side or east side.

2011-04-01 changelog

* Added: random mission mode.
* Changed: Make the X Ray crate generated by script directly at the flag position.
* Changed: Automatically create a fire in X-Ray for night missions when the player side has no nightvision googles.
* Fixed: Float values do not work for mission parameter values.

The optional AI mode can be used for enjoyment while waiting for the server
to fill or as training. See the details in the features section of the wiki.

The A&S ProMode (2011-04-01) pack is available in the filebase.

  The Unsung War MOD 2.0 Released Addon release    


Sgt Savage from The Unsung Mod has informed us about the release of 2nd Mod RC.

The Unsung Vietnam War MOD is proud to announce our 2nd Candidate Release for Armed Assault 2. What started out as adding a few models and a bit of fine tuning, evolved into a behemoth expansion for our MOD.

Included in this release you will find new small arms weapons that include: .357 Magnum, .38 Special, Sterling Mk 4, Sten Mk2, Sten (Silenced), Model 12 12 Gauge Trench Shotgun, (X)M-21 Sniper Rifle, Winchester Model 70 Sniper Rifle, Browning Automatic Rifle (“BARâ€), M-1 Carbine, M-2 Carbine and XM-148.

7 New aircraft have been added to the unsung air wing. The line-up includes: CH-34 Choctaw, CH-46, CH-47, CH-53 and OH-58 Kiowa. Also included in the download are the A-1J Skyraider and F-100 Super Sabre.

We have increased the number of variations within the US Army forces that reflect real war appearances. The US Marine Corps were reworked to include the standard Marines, Marines that have different ruck sacks, Marines that include the ruck with entrenching tool and the 1969+ Marine uniforms. We are also introducing the Marine Force Recon troops for the first time in Armed Assault 2. The LRRPs and Special Forces have been reworked with added variations.

Our eastern forces have been overhauled so that they include the standard local, regional and main force Viet Cong. Not to mention the unveiling of our new Dac Cong special forces units for the NVA . Also included are the Pre 1966 North Vietnamese Infantry that have the khaki colored uniforms along with the Post 1966 green uniforms.

We have included additional MP and SP missions within the download. We are constantly expanding in this area so that the community can enjoy playing this Mod.

Along with our initial map, Lowlands, we are including new maps which include: CSJ’s South East Asia (SEA) map, our Dong Ha map (built for MP playing), the Plei Trap River Valley and the Ia Drang River Valley.
We hope you enjoy playing the MOD as much as we enjoy creating it. Remember to check out the unsung operational handbook (enclosed) it will give you in depth information regarding our Mod and a list of all content found in this release.

From the team we would like to thank the community for their interest and support of our project over the years and all those who have contributed to bring this mod to life.   Co20 Air-War Over Takistan updated Mission release    

ANZAC SAS Steve has released an updated Co20 Air-War Over Takistan v1.1 mission as well as a new v1.1 version with SA-6 by ANZAC SAS Steve and Ron on the BI Forums.

- Objective -
There is 1 main airbase and surrounding area to neutralize in order to make way for an infantry special forces unit to raid in 18 hours time.
We must destroy all airborne aircraft at the same time as taking down all anti-aircraft weapon systems.Once air-superiority has been achieved there are tank units deployed close to the Airbase that must be destroyed before the infantry Assualt can proceed.Once most, if not all threats from the ground and the air have been neutralised there is fuel storage containers,hangers,a Radar Trailer,an HQ Buliding and parked aircraft to be destroyed for mission success.

EMSI from the ČSLA Studio has informed us about the upcoming CSLA patch 2.10 on the BI Forums.

We are working now on upcoming patch 2.10 which will include also the new vehicle GM M1008 and some improvements on other existing models.
