  [OA] co08 Hitmen wear Armani 1.1 by VanhA Multiplayer    

VanhA has informed us about the release of an updated co08 Hitmen wear Armani mission on the BI Forums.

Story/background:
The Takistani have a neutral camp in Feruz Abad where they have been teaching the local militia to use UAV's in search for US forces.
The one in question has been stolen from a US airbase.
Allegations of also using biological weapons have resulted in them approving an international team to come in and check the site.
However, the team has been replaced by 4 elite killers hired by the US forces and assisting field medics to give credibility in medical residue search.

4 hitmen are entering a Takistani compound. Local resistance has managed to smuggle in a crate with some weapons in it. They said it to be in a tent.
Once having dealt with the Takistani compound, destroy the UAV from Anar and go report your success to the local commander.


Changes in v1.1:
*Added atmosphere to town
*JIP players get a weapon but only if the alarm has been raised
*Removed AA weapons and satchel from beginning (Killing target with satchel failed sometimes to trigger eventHandler)
*Changed pistols from crate as silenced UZI's
*Added reinforcements after alarm
*Chopper might lift off
*Small tweaks
(The tasks JIP might not work properly but it's because taskmaster is intended for dedicated use)

  Ballistic Calculator by conKORD Addon release    
conKORD has released a updatedBallistic Calculatorv 1.2 addon on the BI Forums.

Features:
* No more need to have precalculated ballistic tables.
* Does not produce any manipulation with shell. It flying as is.
* BalCa automatically calculates needed azimuth and elevation to hit place selected on map.
* OA compatible.
* ACE compatible.

Weapons with enabled ballistic calculator:
* Automatic grenade launchers (static and mounted): AGS30, AGS17(BTR90), Mk19.
* Mortars: M252, 2B14.
* Cannons: D30,M119,2A70(BMP3).


Version 1.2:

* Azimuth and elevation markers now calibrated. Extreme position of them means deflection 200 meters.
* Horizontal and vertical axes now have marking, so possible to shoot, for example, 50 meter righter designated target location.
Be aware that those adjustment do not assumes altitude changes of terrain. To minimize deviation, caused by it, use high solution.
* Calculations optimized.
* BalCa now is item. To add it to inventory write in unit init
* To use ballistic calculator you should be inside vehicle (cannon, mortar, grenade launcher) and have BalCa in inventory.
Also some vehicles (AAV,BMP3,BTR90) have built-in ballistic calculator, so no need to have BalCa in inventory.

  [OA]M4A3 with Acog and IR-laser +M4A3 ironsights Addon release    
McNools has released an updated M4A3 with Acog & IR Laser AND M4A3 with ironsights by Max255[PL], Jelliz and McNools V2 addon on the BI Forums.

Max255[PL] and I discovered some unused M4 models hidden within the Weapons_E.pbo, two of them seems to crash the game, but one of them, the ACOG-version worked well thanks to config efforts done by Max255[PL] who got it working properly with both the ACOG-sight and the IR-laser.

I retextured the weapon to better suit the other camo M4's in the game, aswell as the acog sight, (the weapon itself had a much darker brown desert-camo), I also retextured the weapons icon to suit this new texture, and added a ammo-box in the editor (M4A3 Acog box) so that people can try it out quickly and easily.

It hasn't been tested much, so there might be some unknown issues as this point.


Changelog:
Thanks to the efforts of Jelliz, the mod now includes a M4A3 with ironsights.

  Swedish Forces Pack - SFP 2015 Public Beta Addon release    
granQ has released a Swedish Forces Pack - SFP 2015 Public Beta on the BI Forums.

After months of work we feel its time to share. This release covers most of our ambition of soldiers, weapons for the 2015 scenario (A 1981 scenario is also coming later).
It is however full with bugs, there of the name beta. However we think people can have some fun, get a taste of what is coming.

Currently including:

* 2 Aircrafts, Saab JAS 39 Griffin and the Saab 105 in a "counter insurgency" configuration.
* 2 helicopters, the NH 90 and the A109.
* Several armored vehicles including the Leo 2 and the Swedish Cv 90.
* The RGM 32 patrol vehicle.
* Soldiers in desert, woodland and winter uniforms.
* Several weapons.

Our team is also looking for new talents and we are looking to fill this positions:

* ACE/config expert. (To make a separate fully compatible config for ACE)
* More players
* Mission editors
* Config fixers
* Documentation writers
* More modellers, esp for the 1981 scenario
* Textures, to improve our current models.
* World editors, to help out with the Swedish island currently in progress.

This release is available in two different packages. One includes bugs and one is without.
For people that normal post bug reports, doesn't like when things isn't up to ArmA2 quality we recommend
the High Quality No-Bugs version and for laid back casual gamers we recommend Low Quality Bugs version.


Old Bear note : due to the requirements and size, we are unable to host the High Quality No-Bugs version but we are feeling every "laid back" gamers are going to be happy with the version we host.

Jaynus from ACRE Team has released an updated ACRE v1.0 - Advanced Combat Radio Environment, now v 1.0.6.115 on the BI Forums.

  FV432 British APC v 1.1 by cleggy Addon release    
cleggy has released an updated FV432 British APC v 1.1 addon on the BI Forums.

Introduced in the 1960's the FV432 was the British equivalent of the American M113.
In it's long lifetime it filled many roles and is still in active service as the Mk3 'Bulldog'.

  UKF Weapons, Share and Misc Updates Addon release    
da12thMonkey from UKF Mod has informed us about the release of UKF Weapons pack v1.1 for ArmA , UKF L115A3 v1.01, UKF Sharedv1.12 and UKF Misc v1.12 updated versions on the BI Forums.

Following on from our addon releases last month, Project: UK Forces are back with another series of exciting updates! This time around we have versions of the long-anticipated update to the UK Weapons pack for both ArmA 2 standalone, and Operation Arrowhead/ArmA 2: Combined Operations.

The major changes are the addition of rifles with the latest accessories for operations in Afghanistan including the new picatinny rail platform, and an ACOG scope provided by panda_pl and scubaman3D from the ACE mod. There are also some weapons fitted with a Surefire FA556-212 suppressor, as used by Special Forces Support Group. Other changes include improvements to the rvmats to utilise ArmA 2's DX9 "super-shaders" and detail maps, the weapons now also have shadow LODs and some of the lighting problems on the models have been fixed.

The pack contains a General Purpose Machine-Gun and nineteen SA80 variants; with numerous variations on the L86A2 Light Support Weapon, L85A2 Individual Weapon and L22A2 Carbine, including different sight configurations and blank-firing adaptors for training scenarios. The UKF weapons pack is a comprehensive collection of modern British small-arms, suitable for almost all players' needs.

Functionality wise, we have adapted the scripts from AAW's weapon pack with norrin's permission, to allow players to use the peep-sights on top of the SUSAT, and the Docter red-dot sight on the ACOG. We have also included handanim switching for the L123A2 UGL and bipod deployment for the LSW and GPMG; a feature you will have seen demonstrated on the L115A3 addon released a few weeks ago.

Speaking of the L115A3, we have made an update to fix the lack of a working bolt animation for the weapon. Follow the link for more info.

We have also created an update of UKF_Shared and UKF_Misc to fix a couple of file-allocation errors that were present in the previous release of the Land Rovers and Jackals.
If you downloaded these addons previously, it is very important that you update UKF_Shared and UKF_Misc to V1.12

  World Tools 1.4 released Editing    
shezan74 has informed us about the release of his updated World Tools 1.4

New release of World Tools is available for download.
This tool can help you to create your own maps for Arma 2 and makes placing objects a lot easier by giving you acces to different placement and generating tools.

Major features:
1) include a complete Fence Generator system for placing fences, walls and a lot of other kind of object.

2) new scripting language for creating macros. Macros can be used to automatically generate farms, houses with gardens, compounds, castles and every other thing you will need.

3) new forest generator tool, with support up to 256 mask colors, multiple different object placement on the same color with user customizable probabilty of placement (useful for bush, rocks, different tree types on the same area).

4) a complete manual (available on about-help menu) with scripting samples, complete program logic and usage explanations and a full help for scripting language.

New features of this release:

Version 1.4

- New function: Remap vegetation objects from existing islandprojects: use the full power of World Tools also in your old projects.
- Support for ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead objects (not included by default yet)
- New support site for World Tools at Dev Heaven.

  Invasion 1944 - Status update Screenshots    
JdB from the Invasion 1944 Mod has informed us about mod status as well as Wacht am Rhein project status.

We've been working steadily on both the port of the D-Day project, as well as on creating the Wacht am Rhein project.

The content for the D-Day project is about finished as far as the visuals are concerned, and the main thing left to do is testing to find and eliminate bugs. We have unfortunately hit a snag during testing. After updating ArmA2 to the latest patch (1.07), the mod refused to start at all. Everything was still working perfectly fine in 1.05, so our coder assumes it is related to the changes in the latest patch, and more specifically, a change in the executable. We haven't been able to determine the exact cause so far, and have therefore not yet fixed this minor issue. Until then, only limited testing is possible.

Thanks to our team member B@Co, the Wacht am Rhein project now has a proper logo.

Artwork for the Wacht am Rhein project is being developed at a reasonable pace. Since the main focus is primarily on fixing the issues with the D-Day project, coding is not a priority right now, although of course a lot of the D-Day code can be re-used, saving us a lot of effort. A map covering the area around Stavelot is in progress. The content is in various stages of development, labeled "Work in Progress". As we have a policy to show only content that is basically done in newsposts, we've created a separate page for them instead, where you can view many screenshots, renders and other images, to give you an impression of what we've been working on the last few months.

hi all,
here the second update of eliassound2 OA.

changelog:
eliassound2OA_c_gear / eliassound2OA_c_gear
at lots of places, walking on island sounds like, walking with high heels on broadway (tip, tap, tip, tap) in vanilla ArmA2OA.
i changed the footstep sounds (normal, rock, gravel, gravel2) and made this more sandy.
add different sounds (MG gunner fall down, stand up/ special force stealth/ Sniper Ghillie_Overall)
to the ArmAIIOA characters.

new weapon sounds for:
PK's, DSHKM, KORD, M24.

  [OA] UKF -OA Only- Weapons Pack 1.0 Addon release    
Pathy from UKF Mod has released an UKF Operation Arrowhead Weapons Pack 1.0 on the BI Forums.

This weapon pack represents UKF's first addon for the Operation Arrowhead. The core content of the pack is the same as the newly released UKF Weapon Pack Version 1.1 for ArmA 2, but this version utilises a number of the new features offered by the expansion pack to enhance the game-play experience and realism of our weapons beyond what was capable in ArmA 2.
