Khayes over on the BI Forums has uncovered some work in progress screenshots from the Battle Over Hokkaido mod. This famous OFP mod appears to be making the move to ArmA.
Please however bear in mind that the news was posted on their site roughly 4 months ago (July 19th, 2007) with no further word - The mod could be dead for all we know.
We contacted our friends and colleagues from Armed-Assault.de (and .net) website to get some more information about their problems.
Their host have deleted by mistake content of all of their rented servers even including backup servers. The team still have all site's files but unfortunately only a several months old database save.
They are currently waiting that the hoster makes everything possible to recover lost data, to avoid to restart their websites with a very old content.
Jonny has posted two screenshots of his upcoming update for his USMC units on the BI Forums. Jonny said the release date would be sometime before the Christmas day '07. Stay tuned!
This addon contains reticle replacements for the M24, Mk12, and M107 rifles, based on NWD's ScopeFix mod. All texture and calibration work is NWD's, and we take no credit for it. We replaced the reticles on those rifles with reticles from commercially available rifle scopes.
Boss has released a NS_Desert addon, a new version of his navy seals wearing boonie hats on the BI Forums
Hi guys here is my version of navy seals with boonie hats, they are still in beta stage at the moment as i am still sorting out the wounds textures. Also these are not a replacement nor an update to the last navy seals i have made but an additional unit to go with them.
The guys from the OFPEC have put up a survey on their website. If you want to give them feedback on their site and the ArmA community in general, head over to OFPEC.com and fill out the survey. It won't take long and you can help them improve their already excellent website. Please remember that you got to log in in order to access the survey.
It seems today is XAM day. Today Mr Burns released the Ghillie suit snipers from the XAM Mod as a standalone addon in the official Forums.
Don´t wanna miss out on XAM Mod snipers w/o having to load the whole mod? Here´s the solution: XAM Ghillie Snipers as standalone .pbo Modell paths are remapped and config classes changed so it should'nt interfere with any XAM content. If you find any bugs you´re free to report them, but due to my limited knowledge i might not be able to fix ´em.
A huge thank you goes out to Snake22000 for giving me permission to release it!

Some of the textures are being replaced, others just refined/modified; the rest shall stay as it was; just to show how talented the original authors were ; only exceptions apply if the texture stands out too much and does not fit ArmA (that was the case with Kraz; had to use some of the original Ural texture parts for now).
