Bushlurker has released Carraigdubh, County Leitrim. - A 5x5km Geotypical Irish Terrain in a St Patrick's Day Special Edition - Beta v0.8 on the BI Forums. Arma2 & Operation Arrowhead or Combined Operations needed.
County Leitrim contains a great variety of landscapes. High moor topped mountains in the north of the County rise above drumlin-covered lowlands, eskers and glens. Geological features shaped by glacial action are a distinctive feature. Many areas are noted for their scenic beauty and nature conservation value. (And particularly good trout & salmon fishing!)
Leitrim, like other counties in Ireland, was subjected to total glaciation on a number of occasions. Glacial episodes have had a profound influence on the landscape, shaping the underlying geology and depositing massive volumes of drift. Little is known about earlier glacial episodes as all traces have been erased by subsequent glaciations. In Ireland the most recent glaciation is called the Midlandian Glaciation and occurred roughly 20,000 years ago. The ice extended across Leitrim from North, North East to South, South West...
During glaciation, erosion was most severe on the higher summits and in the deeper valleys which were aligned parallel to the direction of the ice flow. The lowlands by contrast were mantled by a thick cover of stiff, clayey till deposited during a later stage of glaciation which was moulded into the form of small hills or drumlins. These drumlins are generally oval in plan however a broad range of shapes and sizes exists. The drumlins are orientated in the general direction of the ice flows and are a valuable indicator of glacial activity.
Since the majority of soils display significant limitations to agriculture. Combined with the nature of landform, grassland agriculture has been the dominant land use within the County.
In this synthetic landscape I've attempted to depict all these features within a small but coherent area.
Happy St Patricks Day! Before I go out on the piss later id like to present these. It is a quick and dirty addon representing some Irish Republican Army insurgents. I probably wont do anymore work on this addon because its only a small one. I started working on it when I saw BushLurker's new Irish terrain he is working on and is hopefully releasing soon, go check that shit out if you havent. These could easily represent any faction of the now splintered IRA, that is another reason why I also left out cap badges on the berets so they could be used as anyone. I based these off pictures of IRA insurgents throughout the 1980s and 1990s but there wasnt many quality photos, and they all seem to wear similar get up. ... v1.0 Features
- Overlook look is unconventional. DPM and OD jackets with jeans or khaki combat trousers. No webbing or belt kit like in most of the photos. All wear balaclava heads. - 10 types of insurgent inheriting from the default BIS Chedaki insurgent classes but with different weapons. All use english dialogue, have english names, and use BAF faces. - OA features compatible: Backpacks etc. None have backpacks by default however. - Equipped with weapons mostly representative of the IRA without having any dependancies on weapon packs - FN FAL, AKM, M16A2, L7 GPMG etc.

Introduction:
This is a Greek island located in eastern Aegean sea area, called "Mitilini". This island is my first releasable effort in map modding area and I must admit that it is far away of my expectations as the map it seems to be too small for my original plans. Anyway I'm releasing that in a 1st version "as is" condition and I'll continue either with a 2nd version, twice in size, or maybe another island.

v1.0 Features - Overall the look and feel of these "modernised" units is that of a government federal spetsnaz team, of the FSB or FSO. (More traditional units will follow eventually). They are wearing multicam, SPOSN plate carrier vests with many added pouches, and Mich2000 helmets. I wanted some Fast EDC helmets, they may come later. - 6 kinds of Operators wearing Multicam: Teamleader, Sniper, Marksman, Assaultman, Grenadier, & Operator (Under Men (Multicam)). All are able to administer first aid. - OA features compatible: Backpacks etc (OA thermal textures will come in a later update). - Equipped with default BIS MVD loadouts because they inherit directly from the BIS MVD classes (This is intended so any weapon replacement packs can work, or you can just set the weapons manually). - Two new rucksacks for these units, an olive Charlie Pack and a black Patrol Pack. - These units were the reason I started the Krinkov Pack - One known issue is that the wound textures are a bit dodgey on the body. But they work so hey ho.

[F2F] SKYNET has released an updated F2F Air Loadout Selector System v2.2 script on the BI Forums.
The F2F Air Loadout Selector System is a script which enables a variety of bomb and missile loadouts for ArmA 2 (A2/A2OA/A2CO) aircraft. Currently, A.L.S.S. is compatible (Not required) with GLT missilebox. In the near future I will be including additional addon compatibility (including ACE) as well as incorporating BIS and addon helicopters into the script. This script has been redesigned from the ground up to make for a much easier installation process as well as opening the possibility for addon "sensing".
Originally, F2F A.L.S.S. was considered a private script used only in TheFirst2Fight missions. I came to the conclusion that others may also benefit from this script so I decided to release it to the ArmA community. Further script updates will be released if/when time permits. Technical support and requests will gladly be taken into consideration.

Introduction: As Greek units was missing from ArmA 2 addons I decided to give it a try. So I'm presenting you a small MOD based mainly on retexturing and config work, which adds Greek Units and Vehicles (air - wheeled - armored) into game.

I am a code 'tinkerer' and have been able to stitch these GREAT missions together (through a lot of trial and error)
