The talented addonmaker Aushilfe updated the BI Forums thread with new screenshots of his work in progress Su-27S Flanker B.
I worked on the Su-27S Flanker B this week. You can see the new model, new texture and material on the screenshots. First LOD is done and the Cockpit needs some more details.
The addonmaker Benamaina informed us that he has released his Iraq Insurgency addon on the GIR Clan website. Addon includes nine insurgents with different weapons.

As you know, we like to bring you news as it happens. With that in mind, please excuse the funky colours on the model. It's in the process of being textured right now. I just wanted to show you that it is in-game and driveable for now. It's still got a fair bit of work that needs to be done on it, but the only Canadian vehicle that will be in the demo is in game! This is a great stride towards getting it complete, and I hope you're getting excited about our progress!
Thanks to AASE who made the breakthrough on how to get it in-game when I spent so many weeks trying to get it to work! This crap can get really frustrating after a while! Abs

W.i.p of the Tiger Gunship. The spec and normal maps are being redone from scratch atm as they were basically generated from the colour map. Original model by the Spanish army mod.
Gnat, the talented master of ArmA shipyards, has released the first of his long awaited naval units : a Sparviero - Fast Attack Hydrofoil Beta 1 addon on the BI Forums.
I've used some pretty funky animation to keep this unit straight and level at high speed as well as the hydrofoil effects. There are some small downsides (slow targeting at speed) but I think it works quite well. It will attack all land, air and water targets. The SSM missiles turned out better than I hoped as well, you and the AI can target enmy at long range and at odd angles. The missiles will launch forward and will track around to the target, I've even seen a complete loop over the top with a vertical hit!
Notes on the other Naval units Due to technical difficulties with the larger Frigates, Destroyers and Subs, these are on a slow development cycle. I'm not happy releasing them with the querky bugs. I hope a couple new tricks may yet save them. .... not dead but having health problems. Sorry for the delay. Worst case they should be hot ports to ArmAII
Our good friend and Italian section moderator Linker Split has finally released a v2.0 version of his long awaited Hight Definition Tropic Island on our Forums.
The island is now really full covered with large numbers of trees, palms and plants, so expect lag on mid-end computers. To play with good FPS, you should add fog.
What causes lag is the large amount of models loaded, and the shadow. Textures and RVMATS are optimized to use the best shaders and to not create lag.
Jerryhopper has informed us of the release of a YouTube video featuring an ArcticCat Nightmare DBO Turbo X10 prototype ... having some use on the Watkin's island.
Eble has released a General Dynamics F-111 addon on the BI Forums. Developed in the 1960s and first entering service in 1967, the United States Air Force (USAF) variants were officially retired by 1998. The only remaining operator of the F-111 is the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). This addon represents F-111's from SQN1 and SQN6 of the Royal Australian Air Force.

CheyenneAh56 has sent us WIP screenshots of his Next Patrol Aircraft Project planes featuring Boeing 737 Wedgetail, Boeing P8 Poseidon and EADS A319 MPA. CheyenneAh56 said these are ports from FSX et FS2004 and that he is waiting for authorizations. Let's hope it takes less time than having a workable radar system on real RAAF Boeing 737 Wedgetail.
Von Rundstedt from the FWW2- Finland at war 1939-1945 Mod has released some screenshots of their WIP on the BI Forums. Since 69th anniversary of Winter wars beginning draws closer, we felt that it was time to show something again for community and our faithful fans. There is still quite a lot of stuff that I don't show because its not quite ready for it and I don't have that much time take screenshots, but expect more pictures all the way until 30th ;)
Both of ingame screenshots has some faked parts, but everything you see there actually are real ingame. Remember that they're promotional screenshots, not all is that way as you see it.
First two in-game screenshots; Soviet troops advancing with pretty careless attitude in Finnish territory (in beginning some Soviets units even marched on road in marching formation) and in second Finnish soldier takes care of T-26 m.31 which has come too far from its main force. ... Hey all, I've just finished a Hemp plant model which was origionally made for Sahrani Life to replace the banana plant but could just as easily be used for anything like perhaps a drug bust mission or something.
Loki has released Hemp Plant as an addon on the BI Forums
randy reworked the model.. i added tags and a config. can be found in the editor under mb_hemp non-binarized so others can see the config. had to make it a house class.. the model has to have some other work done.. but its not mine... be sure to look for the 4:20 club on FU island in the next release of hippie funland. smoke it, if ya got it!!
