  Mapfact Editorupgrade updated Addon release    
Lester from the Mapfact team released the latest version of Mapfact Editor Upgrade over at the BIS Forums.

Changes (see the top left picture):
- sand tracks 'roads' added
- sand pathes 'sideways' added
- vertical variants of camo nettings and bunkers added
- some destructioneffects changed

  RTM animation kit for Maya released Addon release    
teacup the well known animator from OFP days, has released a first pre-alpha version of his RTM animation kit for Maya in the BIS Forums.

Here's the pre-alpha I suppose (it's not feature complete),
of my Maya animation kit for ArmA. Not sure when the following
bits will see the light of day, but here it is, use it if you
like.

For those who don't know, it's a little RTM (ArmA character
animation files) import/export utility for Autodesk (sigh) Maya.
Plus a rigged, ready to animate soldier. It's a follow-up of
my similar kit I made for OFP, back in the glory days.

  SCAR pack updated Addon release    
Scubaman3d released an update for his FN SCAR pack in the BIS Forums.

The Cars have been updated. See the first post for a new download link.

Fixes include (b/c you probably won't read the readme):
-Fixed optics on all weapons to have accurate real-world zoom levels
-Added standard M4 magazine capabilities to the Car L's
-Removed the bolt animation until a fix can be found, eliminated the "see through the gun" issue.

SchnapsdroSel released v0.5 Beta of his Mercenaries and Civilians on the BI Forums

Change log:

v0.5 Beta
- completely reworked the WDL Mercenaries
- added 3 more Blackops (new group: "Mercenaries BlackOp")
- added a female to the "Armed Civilian" group
- added one more female and a farmer to the Civilian side
- some minor model changes

  31st Normandy Mod Screenshots    
Rip31st from the 31st Normandy Mod posted several screenshots of their Willy's Jeep and M26 Pershing on the BI Forums. They also posted a screenshot of their work in progress Horsa glider.

And the M26 Pershing is also ready to go...thanks again Enigma for the textures on this one

UPDATE:

-M101 Howitzer still in work.
-Horsa glider in work.
-Waco glider about to go into work.

After these items are done, the mod will be nearly ready to go for beta release. Oh so close!
Just want to say thanks T_roc for the Horsa glider! I will have it ingame soon.

  Scuba Gnat Alpha released Addon release    
Gnat has released an alpha Scuba Gnat addon on the BI Forums. More infos in Addons section, here.

A half-day addon.
I was inspired by Spooners brilliant Scuba units, to create something that would be MP compatible.
This is an Alpha release but could result in something a little better.
It has advantages and disadvantages. Its not perfect so don't whine.
I am providing the PBO and source.

  Screens Report - Lost Brothers Mod Screenshots    
Miles Teg of the Lost Brothers Mod released 2 screenshots on the BIS Forums.

This last ship at the end in the second picture may or may not be used. We need to get permisson from Gnat as that is his Oliver Hazzard Perry class ship (used by the Egyptians) and he may not allow us to use it without everything working absolutely perfectly. I'm hoping either that he'll help us getting it (and maybe the rest of our naval vessels) working nicely or that he'll just let us use a somewhat downgraded version while his ArmA version is top of the line (as we're not looking to compete with his work). I don't have a problem with that as it's his work and I'll just be happy if I can take off Egyptian naval helicopters from it and if it can launch missiles and fire guns in some reasonable fashion. But if he says no, we'll just have to scrap it.

I should also mention that the OSA-II ship in our pics is not the final verson that we'll be using. The final version is being done by the RACS mod and hopefully should be ready soon.
So for you guys in the RACS mod, don't freak out. We still plan on using your version as long as everything is working well on it.

  Suchoi Su- series WIP Screenshots    
The talented addonmaker Aushilfe posted several more work in progress screenshots of his upcoming Suchoi Su- series on the BI Forums.

Here are some new screens, first LOD is complete, the others need to be checked. The Cockpit is textured now, but details need to be added to the texture and some tweaks made.The Su is featuring multi-wepaon loadouts now.

Weaponstatus is displayed on the HUD and on the Panel. Updated the HUD, more visablity at daytimes. Ammmuntionscount for GSh301 and S-8T Rockets displayed. All Animations are working, the ladders will disappear when engine is turned on. Concept works are done, the testphase will start soon, after i tweaked the textures and reduced the number of used textures to the minimum.
An Upgraded Su-34 Addon with the same features will follow.

  Project RACS F-16 updated Addon release    
wld427 from Project RACS has released an updated -v4- Project RACS F-16 addon on the BI Forums.

F-16 Updated:

- Flight model adjusted
- Afterburner adjusted
- Effects script by lethal, Gnat, Project RACS, and Southy added
- 2 new versions, Heavy bomber 12 Mk82 Snakeye retard bombs, and wild weasel
- Fixed Geometry bug.... AI no longer shoot themselves down
