  Extended Voice Addon. v0.9.1 by nikietha released Addon release    
nikietha released a beta version of his Extended Voice Addon in th BI Forums. It would be great if someone could make a YouTube video showing the alternative radio voices added by this addon in action. Just post the link below and we will add it to the news.

This Addon contains some additional words and adds some variants to the AI radioprotocol basically, the reports on wounds, losses, targeting and attack.
Two variants are given: with a standard set of words, and with reduced. In the reduced variant - bot's numbers, the exact indication of target (machinegunner or specops - both are simple men), and exact distance - cut off. This is little accelerates and simplifies a radioprotocol. All bots radiochat subtitles are saved as original. The new words variants are taken from ca\sounds\missions\character_name and completely correspond to characters voices in ca\voice. Addon based on Armed Assault Speech Database, by =BFP=Cheetah, and flea's detailed instructions.

I need some help with adding more report to RadioProtocol by config or eventhendlers script: "reloading", "frag_out", "incoming".... but scripting is nothing to me. E-Mail address : nikita320106@yahoo.com

  F/A-18E/F Super Hornet by Franze Addon release    
Franze has updated hisF/A-18E/F Super Hornet addon on the BI Forums. This is a port of the F/A-18E/F that was originally made for Operation Flashpoint by MAS Productions.

No gameplay changes (that I know of), but binarization results in no ST errors being generated in RPT, and model sections have been optimized (detail lods do not exceed 25 sections). Note that not ALL RPT errors have been fixed, but it's a massive improvement over beta 0.1's 4 meg RPTs.

  Bushwars Mod - M3 81mm Mortar WIP Screenshots    
ObmaR from the Bush Wars Conflict Mod has posted some screenshots and information of their M3 81mm Mortar for SADF on their forums.

To change a little from all the weapons I am making for our Weapons Pack, I have finished our M3 81mm Mortar. Just busy compiling the config and then sending it on to the team for testing. I will release a generic version first in about a weeks time and will release a Mod version with mortar crews once I have completed our Units.

The 81mm mortar was used extensively during the Bushwar by the SADF and was codenamed the M3. It was operated in the field by 3 - 5 man mortar crews.

  Project'85 Screens Screenshots    
Thunderbird84 has informed us that the Project '85 mod just finished and opened their new website and posted several screenshots illustrating the models under development.

These models are almost finished and more are expected to be achieved within the close future in order to make the MOD step by step fulfilled in terms of cold war crisis military gear.

  General NS Peugeot 307 Serbian police car (update 1) Addon release    
General_NS has sent us an updated version of his Serbian Police and Civilian Peugeot 307 pack.

Many things changed:
- Fixed geometry lod (you can't walk through car)
- Fixed speed and rpm indicators (when you turn on lights)
- New textures for damage 50% and damage 100%
- Police rotation light (can be turn on and turn off from cars)
- And many things, i can't remember them all, just try it and you will see!

  Finnish Conscripts M/91 update Addon release    
Karko has released an updated version of his Finnish Conscripts M/91 addon on the BI forums.

  FFN config replacement released Addon release    
william1 released a config replacement that imporves ArmA's AI (especially in CQB). The scripts are depicted from TonyRangers FFN Mod. The required addons from the FFN Mod are included. Watch the YouTube Video to find out what this addon does.

Some time ago , TonyRangers released a beautiful minimod that went quite unnoticed between the Arma comunity ,it contained some beautiful features especially the great dodge movement when hit or the cqb movement. Unfortunately those features were only abailable for his Tr_men.

Well, i thought to give it a new go with a updated replacement config that enables some of FFN Mod features to the default Arma soldiers.
The replacement comes in two versions, normal and XAM 1.405 compatible version, read the "how to install" before installing. To run, the replacement needs the "TR_OBJ.PBO" from FFN Mod (Included in the rar file).

  SAP Everon updated Addon release    
Sgt Ace updated his ported Everon island and released version 1.0 over at the BI forums.

Updated ACE_Everon to prevent any problems with ACE MOD and there tags into SAP TAG now and for new projects

I also changed some small config stuff and added the bikey signature files, the rest stay as it was.
Be sure for old missions that the classnames are changed

  Soviet-Russian building pack Addon release    
DPS from Our Weapon Project (OWP) has release a beta version of his P44 house addon pack on flashpoint.ru forums.
Features:
-Small quantity of textures, worked system LODs that allows to use simultaneously a considerable quantity of objects on a map without damage to FPS
-Possibility to include light in windows
-Possibility to open a door at entrances
-After of destruction it is replaced with model of ruins

  USAF F-16C Falcon released Addon release    
footmunch, well known for his incredible airplane addons for OFP has released his first ArmA addon, the USAF F-16C Falcon in the BI Forums

Thanks to eddyD and Blue_Flight for testing and texture work)

Included in the PBO are three versions (listed under BLUFOR->Air):
- CAP - Combat Air Patrol - 6 (BIS) AIM-9 Sidewinders
- CAS - Close Air Support - 4 AGM-65 Mavericks and rockets
- GBU - Precision Strike - 4 (BIS) GBU's - skin by eddyD

All are marked as USAF - in the next release I will make the roundels and tail decals user-changeable to allow for international versions.
Also, this next version should have an opening canopy, air brakes, extended damage textures, nozzle animation and some other bits and bobs.

  Mapfact releases MAP_Skills + steerable parachute Addon release    
MCPXXL from the Mapfact Team informed the community in the BI Forums about several releases, including a steerable parachute made by Rastavovich (+ a modified parachute made by Lester). Furthermore MCPXXL created a multiplayer mission called Get Them Back Part 1. For more information head over to Mapfact.net.

Our good old friend Rastavovich (former BIS now BIA employee) got in touch with us and he was be recalled about an old promise, to build a steerable Parachute. After BIS solved the MLOD problem some days ago, we can offer 2 versions: One 'clean' green RAS_Parachute version an one black version Lester adjusted to our needs inside of the MAP_Skills which also had a clanlogo on the top.

Finaly we decided to shrink the overall size of the missions by splitting frequently used samples or graphical elements of the complete rewritten ActionHUD V2.0 into a addon called MAP_Media. The ActionHUD V2.0 brings also a more detailed output of the carried skills.

Overall we think that we strap a excelent packet which allows a lot of mental scope and ideas to force a lot users would enjoy the fun or should do it.


Sidenote: The parachute needs ArmA version 1.09 to work

  ArmA Support And Patching Plans - Part II Screenshots    

Ondřej Å paněl from BIS added another article to the Developer's Blog on the Bohemia Interactiv Website. In this short article Ondřej talks about the latest patch that will be released in the near futur.

The patch announced in ArmA Support and Patching Plans is shaping up nicely. It took much longer than we wanted, but finally I am happy to report the work we did on VON and anti-cheat, which was the most difficult part, was successful and we will soon be closing the patch.

Besides what was planned, we have managed to include a handful of other fixes and improvements, most notable:

* Fixed compatibility issues with Vista x64 platform
* Fixed Out Of Memory problems caused by exhausting 32b virtual address space
* Significant optimizations with large view distances
* AI bridge pathfinding much improved
* Fixed a few bugs in AI target recognition both visually and aurally
* Improved airplane turn dynamics simulation (including improved rudder simulation)
* Fixed clipping issues with 16:9 or TrippleHead displays

Because of the multitude of changes, we plan to release one more beta patch before this work will be "good to go as final". The purpose of this beta patch, besides giving you an early opportunity of enjoying the fixes we have implemented, is to perform a broad community testing, so that we can be confident the final patch is really stable, it fixes what it intends to fix, and it does not introduce any major regressions (new problems).
