Mondkalb and NeoArmageddon released another addon (MK-20 Rockeye) in the BI Forums.
MK-20 Rockeye The MK-20 Rockeye is a Cluster bomb which releases after being dropped 247 socalled Bomblets (Submunitions) and causes damage to large areas. The MK-20 was created for busting tank formations. But some bomblets don't detonate and work like mines.
Features: -MK-20 splits after 3.5 seconds above 330ft in many small bomblets -MK-20 is unarmed when releasing under 300ft and will hit the ground (Don't come too near, then) -Bomb is splitting into two halfes -Effective damageradius between 20 and 600 Meters -Some Bomblets stay and become landmines

MechaStalin, Red Cottage, granQ, and Sea Demon released a revised version of their BTR-80 in the BI Forums.
Small update of BTR with material/normal maps and compatible with latest versions of ArmA, still no self shadows or new skins though as I'm not really in the mood for working on this. If you're willing to join the gaps in the model feel free to do it and send it to me and I"ll do the shadows and release the updated version.

Yossarian informed us about the release of his latest addon. This time he released his M14 EBR addon in the BI Forums.
This addon is still pretty rough. The textures aren't as nice as I would have liked. Hopefully they will be updated. There are still a bunch of things I'd like to fix, but I'm releasing now so people can try out the new weapons.
How to use the Short-Dot scope:
"+"/"-" keys on the numpad (default) zoom in/out. Zoom value is estimated.
Ammo Crate: Ammo/M14-EBR crate

The well known Kegetys released another usefull addon in the BI Forums and on his website. This small addon will lower details of ArmA's vegetation. To install it, just run the installer and then use the 'lowplants' modfolder (Ie. add -mod=lowplants to your ArmA shortcut).
Here's a small mod I made, it changes the vegetation in Sahrani to use the 'very low' detail shaders when shader detail is set to a higher setting. This increases performance quite alot without having to disable all the normal maps etc from everywhere as you get with 'very low' shaders. The vegetation textures are also modified so that they do not look as pale without the normal maps. The main grass model and texture are also modified for better performance and appearance. All this gives a nice performance boost without a significant loss in image quality.
It requires Queens Gambit, and changes both the default Sahrani and QG Sahrani.

Q1184 has released an updated version of his Sharper recoils modification on the BI Forums.
Q11_Recoils As many of you may have noticed BIS recoils are a bit weird. Apart from being slow (BIS recoil starts after the shot) there is also some strange movement of the gun after the recoil itself. It quickly moves down and then up again, probably trying to simulate rezeroing. What I did was 1)Start the recoil the moment the shot starts, 2)Get rid of the barrel dive (almost to zero) and 3) Make the overall recoil cycle shorter. I liked the result and decided to share the stuff with the community. I would appreciate any constructive feedback to further improve this little mod.

Mondkalb has released the MK-77 Napalm bomb addon he has created with NeoArmageddon on the BI Forums.
NeoArmageddon made the hard work, he created the scripts, drop effects and made everything working in multiplayer. I've simply made the MK-77 Model and sounds. -This addon is fully working in Multiplayer -Plug&Play; Download and put it into addonfolder, no missions, no additional scripts, just place the plane and drop some Nap' over Rahmadi.. -Working Damaging; Persons inside the Napalm will start burning and get killed

Dead Kennedy has released his Russian Army's tactical signs addon on the BI Forums
This addon adds in game a big (more than 130) pack of tactical signs, which are accepted in designing work map of a commander in Russian Army, which can be set on a map as markers (F6)

EMSI released his Contaminated Ammo Container addon on our Forums.
Hi all ... This small addon contains (empty) ammo box with labes which means presence of plumbeous case with Plutonium Pu-94. It's a simply retex from original ammo box. Addon have also unlocked dead bodies available in editor through Civilian units. BilOlson released his ASP SF Units v1.0 in the BI Forums. This addon adds 4 new SF units to each of the three sides, Bluefor, Opfor, Racs using default BIS models and characters.
I put this together for my squad because we play Coop only, specifically Spec Ops type missions and needed a Medic, then there was a few other roles that needed to be filled so here they are. I used default models/textures so not to make addon large in size and can be used with default units. (.pbo is only 16 kb (config only))

DMarwick released an update of his ArmA Effects addon in the BI Forums. Version 4.3beta includes the following changes :
v4.3b changes - Extended Init compatible. (Extended Init addon v1.1 required, and included, with this release. If you already have Extended Init eventhandler addons you can delete them from the @DMSmokeEffects Addons folder.) - Smoke grenades have AI viewblock functionality. The viewbock reacts to wind direction & strength. - A new player Action, Wind info, is added. This is useful for smoke grenade usage, as well as general realism & ballistics addons. On use it will give you the strength & direction of the wind at the time you requested it. - Frag grenades tweaked slightly to be lighter in colour. - Full viewblock functionality is enabled for this "b" release on most DMSmokeEffects smoke effects. During heavy battles this can drag the FPS right down, but I release this version to get general feedback and results.
