More shippies! This last ship at the end in the second picture may or may not be used. We need to get permisson from Gnat as that is his Oliver Hazzard Perry class ship (used by the Egyptians) and he may not allow us to use it without everything working absolutely perfectly. I'm hoping either that he'll help us getting it (and maybe the rest of our naval vessels) working nicely or that he'll just let us use a somewhat downgraded version while his ArmA version is top of the line (as we're not looking to compete with his work). I don't have a problem with that as it's his work and I'll just be happy if I can take off Egyptian naval helicopters from it and if it can launch missiles and fire guns in some reasonable fashion. But if he says no, we'll just have to scrap it.
I should also mention that the OSA-II ship in our pics is not the final verson that we'll be using. The final version is being done by the RACS mod and hopefully should be ready soon. So for you guys in the RACS mod, don't freak out. We still plan on using your version as long as everything is working well on it.
The talented addonmaker Aushilfe posted several more work in progress screenshots of his upcoming Suchoi Su- series on the BI Forums.
Here are some new screens, first LOD is complete, the others need to be checked. The Cockpit is textured now, but details need to be added to the texture and some tweaks made.The Su is featuring multi-wepaon loadouts now.
Weaponstatus is displayed on the HUD and on the Panel. Updated the HUD, more visablity at daytimes. Ammmuntionscount for GSh301 and S-8T Rockets displayed. All Animations are working, the ladders will disappear when engine is turned on. Concept works are done, the testphase will start soon, after i tweaked the textures and reduced the number of used textures to the minimum. An Upgraded Su-34 Addon with the same features will follow.
Viper169th has released an update -v1.2- of his Viper Artillery addon for SP missions on the BI Forums. 1. updated scripts for easy cleanup 2. Added L16A2 Mortars for each side including Racs..........Mortars are found under Viper Mortars .. Mortars have a turn radius of +/-100 degrees remember that when placing units 3. including demo mission to show how to add and remove script ie.. for HQ's and ect... 4. updated Template to have all unit now on airfield at Sahrani 5. The artillery can be found under West,East,or Independent Viper Artillery & Viper Artilllery Men "Artillery Crews East and West as well as Artillery do not attack targets theses are for ai use only can be used in cutscenes ect.."

Delta Hawk published a screenshot of his american Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor on the BI Forums, but he need someone who can help him with finishing it!
I have a few problems though that will prevent the release of this car. I need someone to make awsome police officers. And then I need a few scripts made for the GPD Police car (Not shown). Someone to make sure it works in multiplayer. And does anyone know how to make shadows disappear or not show on glass? It looks akward in the inside.
Yea, so, i'm doing crazy ass training in a few days for a month, and then in january i'm going to iraq. sorry ofp/arma community, i can't release it without those things and i don't have time to do it. sorry, i'm simply not going to kick myself in the balls to release this. no lost to me.

Just a few little things I was working on
The SU-25 is the BIS one that was converted by southy textures based on TomiD's OFP retexture. I edited the models heavily and the textures added the rook and new weapons, and the SLA roundel. the MiG-21 is the one I edited for lost brothers long time ago from the FDF one I just took the original textures and redid them for SLA one in "grey/metal"(CAP/Interceptor) and one in woodland(CAS) added unit markings and SLA roundels.
The pilots are the newest version of PKW pilots unedited. I might show more pictures later if they ever get released I will get permission first for the most part I made these because the COMPLETE lack of an airforce for the SLA except for an very unrealistically KA-50/52 neither are even used in large number by Russia let alone a small country like North Sahrani.
I think I will make atleast 3 or 4 colour schemes for each type there is 3 types of mig-21's CAP, Interceptor and CAS each will rep a different unit in the SLAAF
ArMaTeC is working on his A&B Predator Mod, after having published a lot of new WIP pics on his web site in Gallery, he has again posted a very interesting pic on the BI Forums.
.. inspired by a police cop show i watched i spent 23h yesterday cutting up a circle into 360 bits so that now we have the pitch and bank of the MTS camera showing on the dialog quite handy for orientation

Hello everybody. I´m back!
It´s a long time since I last posted on the forum but I have good news for you: I´m working on an upgraded version of the already released Handy Tools addon for those who are fans of the operations with helicopters.
I´ve been working on this for some weeks and I decided to post info about my WIP after seen some nice videos of other people trying to reproduce the rope insertion in ArmA. Yeap, I fully agree that´s a must have for a modern game and I was quite disgusted too when this was not yet implemented in ArmA nor planned for Arma II. So, here comes my "baby":
I created a simplified physics model for a rope made of several bones, which are anymated via configurable formulas for advanced users but don´t need more than a 5 entries array call to work for lazy users.
Cargo or troops attached to the rope will follow each bone movement tracing an accurate path either on the transportation or in the rappel operation. Rope configuration allows users to set 1 or 2 ropes, their attach position, lenght and also dynamically change the lenght of the rope while in game to ease the operation or even manually drop cargos when desired.
If you are familiar with basic physics you will know a rope is one of most difficult systems to reproduce, and that´s why I had to reduce its features to some basic ones to ease the design but anyway I think the result is quite nice: the rope oscilation and weight on the rope provided by cargo or troops change its shape and oscillation properties. As you see on those pics, once the soldiers start to move on the rope, that one becomes more rigid, like in the case of transporting a cargo
This fully configurable system works with all choppers and allows multiple squads rappel on both sides of the vehicle. It´s also designed to match with existing which, like in the case of the spanish FAMET AB212 from FFAA mod above.

Conversion of Footmunch's Su-27 from Opf to arma with permission. ... three versions:
