This is a very good addon. Even in the test version. It can hardly expect the right to see.

Have you had a try playing the SP mission ?
Look at the map :
- the rig is in shallow waters, it's an oil rig not a boat, in deep waters it will sink.
- the rig is a subtle build made of 5 elements with an unique special position for each one : have a look at the map in the SP mission !

As it is, it will be a bit difficult to be used in editor.
But nevertheless a nice piece of cake !

Also, it should work as a multiplayer mission as well. As I created about 4 playable soldiers. There is no respawn, or enemies however. To play it in multiplayer, simply put it in the MPMissions folder.

Well, build 1.0.1a. is working all right.

icemotoboy gives me the answer : you must have the 2 .pbos in your folders.
1° usec_rig_a.pbo (Main Object File) in your addon folder.
2° oilrig.Intro.pbo (Mission File) in your mission folder.

If you just want to taste, smell and hear this great addon, do NOT try to open it in Editor, play SP Mission oilrig.Intro

Be sure to check that you are using the supplied map file (feel free to un-pbo it and edit it if you would like to change it). The rig itself is five pieces, which must be placed one on top of each other.

I had hosted the addon just as it was released. Now, I get no more CTD but just an unfinished rig.
ATM we are hosting 1.0.1a build

Check the readme file, and the build number. If it says 1.0.0a - then you simply need to redownload. There was a small texture error on my part that caused some video cards to crash. I fixed this and hosters have re-uploaded.

In order to have the right version, check your readme says 1.0.1a. Otherwise, let me know and I can fix it.

Too bad, I can get only a glimpse to an unfinished rig before CTD ... well it's an alpha
