I will gladly pay for this add-on. What BIS is doing with this series is fantastic so far. Especially when comparing with what is currently going on in PC gaming.
Thank you, BIS and hope you will release more add-ons soon. I will buy them!

this kind of things gives work to the pirates ... if bis really decides to charge this little pack will loose more money than if they give this free ... because mostly of the people won´t pay for something that you can get free....

I would pay for a pack that adds a good amount of significant features/new abilities to the engine. Paying for basically a small pack (compared to what quite a few mods have given us for free over the years) of weapons, units and vehicles, with a small campaign, not a chance.

if private mods started trying to charge I would not be interested in using them some have even tried that already.

I do agree.
We need something really new, but not a simple addon packs.

Nice to see the British playing the 'junior partner' with the yanks just like in 1940 ... lol

This was always going to be the next evolutionary step of the series after arma 2 moving into dedicated strap on packs like other simulator genres. The funny thing here is that BIS have shot themselves in the foot somewhat. Either they rubbish years of community mods hard work (p:ukf) with top notch releases - raising the question why didn't the game ship with models this good .... OR they release standard models which community mods have already developed to a better standard which in turn raises another question - will this see private mods begin charging for packs? it would be two faced of BIS to develop inferior mod packages that it can only charge for.

interesting times ahead

Darkwolf I think BIS know that the modding support they provide is a large reason for the popularity of the ArmA series. If they're sensible the'll they will not take away the modding support.

My worsest fear just become reality. This is the beginning of the end.

I understand BIS have to make money, they deserve it more than most of the develloper out there. However, i have concern about the future of the game. If this prove to be a reliable solution to make money, one of those day, we'll have a ArmA 3 or 4 without any modding support, simply because they is a way too much money to earn here. DLC is the worsest thing that never happened to video game, and BIS is going to follow all the other sheep.

This evening, i will have a large beer, and pray that BIS will keep their upcoming game open. Beside my fears, i also have some faith in them.

That was predictable. Hope they would make similar packs for other countries too.

Hope next time will be a pack of some more German Units or a pack of the French Foreign Legion
