It could be because they are more interested in ArmA II. Who knows for sure is anyone's guess at this point.

For that all you need to do is download the first MLODs we officially released, they already have such documentation :) yeh, it's not that bad )) but i wonder why there's no model.cfg for bmp in there for ex. ? No helicopter examples ? It was too hard to add it to the archieve ? ;) why all paths are edited so it's harder to get it ingame then ripped mlods ? etc... It's really fun to see the discussion stopped that easily with the only unsteady statement (we will realese smth just don't know what and when :)) hope i'm wrong, but atm it looks like BIS is not interested in arma editing - don't know for what reason though.

you may think that alot of comments have gone too far, and you may or may not be right. I think alot of us don't concern ourselves with the "past". Most of what you are reading concerns with the present and the amout of difficulties modders and gamers alike are having with ArmA. I totally agree with the fact that no company is perfect. That part was never an issue. What's disheartening is we are soooooooooooo limited when it comes to modding. I for one would never tamper with MLOD's if I knew it was illegal. Let's just wait and see if things improve, and how fast this situation improves.
@darkdevil: nobody here is a "fool". That comment in itself was un-called for. everyone was a right to their opinion.

You right Placebo there lot of comments that go way to far - but look closer the most of them are only fools who have no time to think before posting.

Yeah, but I would wait and see this EULA, just for safety...

Reading some of the comments here as well as in other threads is quite disheartening, no company is perfect, no company is bigger than the consumers that support it, but after all the years of support BIS have tried to give, before and after I worked for BIS, it's amazing how quickly all that is forgotten and people seem to take delight in jumping to the worst, most negative of conclusions and opinions.....

I wonder if the 500 word email i sent them yesterday had anything to do with it...

proper documentation such as EULA which clearly states what they can and cannot be used for,
Yeah, but I would wait and see this EULA, just for safety...

We have a great news... Placebo shown our article to Marek Spanel and he confirmed us that BIS is going to release all their MLODS models for being used by the Arma community, we just still do not know if it will really be all models, nor how they will be released, where and when!
good news !!!

old bear you are spot on correct! I couldn't agree more. BI is getting too strict in what it releases and should give modders a better understanding with tuts and whatever else might be helpful. Otherwise ArmA has just become a very boring game to those of us who like playing. It's the least they can do. As I have stated previously, what harm could it bring in sharing.

P.S. se7en said in one of his comments that struck a nerve. It's not like any modders are selling the addons they make. There is no "pirating issue" that I see. I release BIS has every right to withhold anything specific dealing with whatever game they make. I just can't understand why they can't be more forthcoming.

Quoting Placebo:
They key issue is really that when we release them we include full and proper documentation such as EULA which clearly states what they can and cannot be used for, whereas unathorised releases tend not to include such "protective" documentation.
It means that, once more, BIS will find a way to continue supporting the community, like they used to do since years!
