  WIP from RKSL Studios Screenshots    
RockofSL from the renown RKSL Studios has released new screenshots of their WIP on the Merlin HC3 addon on the BI Forums.

As you can see we’ve made quite a bit of progress with the Merlin HC.3. It’s now fully mapped and mostly textured but it really needs reworking a bit to make it suitable for release.
There are still some things to do but the planned release will hopefully see some pretty interesting features:
- Fully working and practical cockpit
- DIRCM and Chaff & Flare countermeasures
- Rescue winch
- Under-slung Loads (see Cargo System)
- Dynamic Rotor system (see Dynamic Rotor System)

Due to popular demand there will be several versions released time permitting:
- Merlin HC3
- Merlin HC3A (MK512 recently purchased from Denmark and upgraded to UK mil spec)
- Danish Merlin MK512 (as above but with different internals and countermeasures)
- International EH101 – Grey – Roundel capable
- International EH101 – Green – Roundel capable
- International EH101 – Yellow/SAR – Roundel capable

  UH-1H Huey from Hellenic Warfare Mod WIP Screenshots    
Sparky from the Hellenic Warfare Mod has released a lot of teasing pictures of their UH-1H Huey addon yet to come on the Hellenic Warfare Mod Website.

Keeping up with our promise for quality addon production, the Hellenic Warfare Mod in association with the Hellenic ArmA community proudly presents a legend. The Hellenic Army Aviation UH-1H Huey transport helicopter is now undergoing structural and functional beta testing, with exquisite results so far. Having already tested the fully working model and textures, we are now in the process of incorporating some scripting enhancements that will take the 'beast' to the next realism level.
As always, the model is accurately depicting the internal and external views of the Hellenic Army Aviation air veteran, bearing 2 mounted MG3 machineguns on port and starboard sides. Needless to say, the model and textures are made from scratch.

The helicopter will be available for downloading when beta testing is done, and it will be part of an addon pack that will contain a couple more surprises. To that end, a bug tracking system has been created at the HWM site. Any realistic and well intended observation will be greatly appreciated.   VFAI - AI Extension updated Addon release    
VictorFarbau has updated his VFAI - AI Extension to version 1.5 and released it on the BI Forums. This addon makes units smarter and more independent, you can view a samploe video of v1.4 below.

VFAI - Equipment.AI enables units to independently equip themselves with Weapons and Ammo from dead bodys. Further information and details included in the readme file.
How to use? Just drop "VFAI.PBO" into your addons folder, done. All units will now have skills to help themselves with weapons and ammo. VFAI REQUIRES "Extended_Init_EventHandlers" © BY SOLUS (included with the addon).

hoz from OFPEC.com informed us that the OFPEC COMREF has been updated. The ArmA/OFP Command Reference is now fully dynamic and you can add comments easily.

  RER Weapons MOD WIP Editing    
Azrael000 from the Red Eyed Ravens Clan has send us a few WIP shots of his futuristic weapons. The mod is also looking for someone to help them texturing these weapons, if you are interested please drop Azrael a PM.

Hi,
I'm Azrael000 Leader of the RED EYED RAVENS Clan (RER)
I want to introduce you to our mod samples.
The Sub Machine Gun is using .50 cal shells (same as the desert eagle), it is this extremly powerful weapon and has a titanium frame so its very light (We are planing to create an infantry that will use them too).


The Assault Rifle will use 50 Browing .50 cal shells or 50 Metal Storm shells each of them will contain five 9mm projectiles, the weapon is also made from Titanium.

The story of our mod will be placed in near future (Kill Zone Style)

  PedagneMOD release Beretta weapons! Screenshots    
arremba_san_zorzo from the PedagneMOD has released a Beretta weapons pack on the BI Forums.

PedagneMOD start their work on ArmA with the release of most diffused Italian Beretta’s rifles. This release contain:
- various versions of the Beretta AR7090 assault rifle
- three versions of the Beretta PM12 machine pistol
- one model of Italian soldier BDU (2000 age) for the weapons testing
Besides, there is also an ammo box file with only a config files that have the all weapons of the ASZ_Beretta.pbo.
Some models of the Beretta rifles of the PedagneMOD will equip the very nice Italian Soldiers by Dr Rebus.
They will add in a .pbo file that will have various weapons (all equipping the DrRebus soldiers) by various addonmakers. Some of this weapons will be maked by PedagneMOD (equal to the correspondent model contained in ASZ_Beretta.pbo here released).
Thanks to AimPoint, Robert Hammer, Dr Rebus, AT_ST Walker, Indy and all that have gave me suggests and availability on BIS and ArmA.info forums (Jakal, Q1184 ……and I do not remember all).
But one particular regard to dear mate, PreparationH for their work in OFP. By his work I have started mine (AR7090 rifle sound is his AR7090 for OFP)


Here you can download Beretta weapons (v.01) addon, you can also download Beretta ammobox (v.01) but Beretta weapons addon is still needed.

  CBF Shipbuilding WIP Screenshots    
CBFASI from CBF Shipbuilding has released screenshots of their Work in progress on the BI Forums. CBF Shipbuilding are working alongside RKSL Studios.
These pictures are featuring an old battleship and a modern assault ship probably of the HMS Ocean Class. They are far from being finished, but it's nice to know that some boats are going to sail on all that water around.

New Dockyard still under construction but they yard is already in use with the latest ship rolled down the slip and now getting fitted out, much work to do but she is now recognizeable for what she is...

The old battleship has had turrets built and has been on used on exercise to check the capability, 355mm has quite a punch..

  ArmA Effects v0.52 released Addon release    
Maddmatt updated his ArmA Effects addon and released version 0.52 in the BI Forums. View an outdated YouTube video showing some sounds from previous versions here.

This mod improves ArmA's particle effects, such as explosions and fires.

It contains many new effects, including
* New effects for weapons and explosions.
* Tank muzzleflash.
* More smoke when buildings are destroyed.
* New burning and smoke effects.
* AT backblast effects.
* Aircraft destroyed in the air now leave a flame/smoke trail (doesn't seem to work properly in MP).
* Various other tweaks.

Small update to version 0.52.

I just added correct addon dependencies to get rid of the MP error message and make sure the mod warns you if you don't have certain required files.
I also improved the rain effect a bit.

  UAV Management System Released Screenshots    
EMSI has released his impressive UAV Management system on our forums. This works as a teaser before M/RQ-1 Predator addon release.

Here is an UAV management.
You can use these scripts in editing as you want. This release is like a preview before M/RQ-1 Predator addon which will come soon.
Zip archive include ReadMe files in ENG/SK languages, MRU addon, SP demo mission, core scripts and manuals in ENG/SK language.

  Australians At War Mod Update Screenshots    
SoldierX has updated us as to the current progress of the Australians At War Mod. Also released were some nice screenshots showing some of their WIP weapons. See their thread in our forums for more details.

Big thanks to XDF for offering us hosting and also providing Beta testers for the AAW mod. Today we did some beta testing for the F88s Austeyr. So far we have 2 versions, one featuring the Steyr 1.5X sight and one featuring the BIS ACOG. We also intend to have for Elcan and a Aimpoint in the first release version.

  Darker textures for M16/M4 rifles Screenshots    
Milkduster has released a Milkdusters Dark Rifles V1 addon on the BI Forums featuring M16/M4s with darker textures.

After releasing my darker ironsights people wanted the entire rifle to be darker, so here it is. This addon replaces BIS's textures with darker ones on the M16/M4 family rifles. The magazines are also a little bit darker.
...
Don't try to run the addon along with Milkduster's Darker Ironsight Replacement/Addon.
There are a few issues, it would be greatly appreciated if some one knew how to fix these.

  Real M136 updated Addon release    
Inkompetent updated his Real M136 addon, that turns the M136 into a single shot weapon, just as it is in real life in the BI Forums. This version makes use of the Extended Event Handlers addon for better compatibility with other addons.

Since the M136 is a single shot disposable weapon in real life I thought it should be in ArmA too. The M136 is now firable once, then automatically dropped on the ground. It can be picked up, but since the weapon can't be loaded and fired again the only purpose would be in a human vs human missions if you want to be sneaky (however sneaky it is to fire an AT rocket!)
Ammo loadout for US and RACS AT soldiers are changed accordingly, giving them only one M136 rocket each, and exchanging the two excess rockets for magazines. The total number of slots used is the same as before, and thus shouldn't have any other effect on the game.

This version makes use of the Extended Event Handlers addon for better compatibility with other addons.
