Rip31st has released a fix for 31st NORMANDY MOD - WW2 C47 plane on the BI Forums.
-This fix addresses the nonconformant texture and makes it conformant with industry standards. My apologies to those out there that were having issues. -This fix also adds a cargo position next to the pilot so the pilot no longer rides alone up front. -This fix also places crew in their proper spots so they appear to be riding where they are supposed to be. -This fix also removed the flickering surface on the tail of the C47.

A few things...
Auto landing works.. but i have to finish the airport ai stuff. No ladders or addactions work... how in the hell do i run a script from the map?!.. it seems as if everything becomes a nul object once i place it in visitor.
Only 1/3 of the map is finished. (if mission making.. don't get too comfortable.. yet... ..alpha..remember..)
umm.. no addons needed... OH.. most important.. thank you to al simmons for his ambience pack and permission to use them
After a bit of pondering I decided that I really wasn't satisfied with the texturing that I did previously so I sat down to re-do it. And thanks to some tips here and there I think i got it better this time :). Besides the old textures were way too dark according to alot of people. So, here's the result:
Hope you people like what you see ( ignore the number alpha errors :)) Still loads to do as usual but getting the hang back of 02 including the blasted shadowLod.
Btw I am working on a comprehensive texturing tutorial which will cover all the techniques I used above like getting the specular and normal maps + setting up the basic rvmat. I would expect it to be done next weekend.
Rip31st has released an ATI users patch for his 31st Normandy Mod on the BI Forums.
This patch resolves ATI users error code by replacing a size 4444 conformant texture with a DXT5 texture. However everyone will need to download and install this patch as these pbo's are signed. This should resolve any issues ATI users have with the C47,Jagdpanther,M4A4, and PZ4H. IF further problems exist please contact me via Armaholic of BI forums. Installation instructions: -EXTRACT TO YOUR ARMA FOLDER and overwrite existing files.
Viper169th has released a v 1.4 updated version of his Single player Artillery addon on the BI Forums.
Version 1.4 1. Added spot round to the M119 and D30 "name 1 unit VM119 for M119" "name one unit VD30 for D30" 2. Artillery now fires rounds instead of Salvos <-- please note units may fire 2 rounds if you pick only one especially the mortars because of the reload times are quicker 3. Mortars rounds are set to 75 rounds with a Max of 300 rounds 4. M119 & D30 rounds are set to 150 rounds with a max of 300 rounds 5. Mortars now have a yellow spot round 6. added VO.2's new sound pack for voice overs 7. decreased time from DPICM airburst and bomblets hitting ground
SMERSH from the SARMAT studio has released the final version of their Russian architecture pack on the BI Forums. This pack is adding a long list of new building to previous releases and new features.
Not long ago we released V3.0 Russian architecture pack and we received the information from teams and users, who begin to create missions with V2.0 pack, that they have problems with the incompatibility of V3.0 with V2.0
Unfortunately compatibility with V2.0 is impossible, because all objects in V2.0 can not distruct, And V3.0 and final objects can be distructed. Diferent versions have difernt configs.
Changes:
- Improvement of shadow lods. - Corrected errors with ladders usage. - Corrected geometry lods errors. - Better quality of all textures. - Final version is compatible with V2.0
JOHNsArT has released a first alpha version of his long awaited Kingtiger tank from the WW2 Era in the BIS Forums.

GMC from French ADO Team has released a short video of his upcoming TRM4000 addon on the Clan ADO Forums. This general utility truck for the French Army is coming in different versions : troops transport, tow truck, box transport and in different textures both "woodland" and "desert". BadBenson released several new work in progress screenshots of his Afghanistan map on the BI Forums
Guys...since i now work with real data i had to start from scratch. that's why the progress on my Afghanistan map was going slow.
Those are some pics of the current stage. it's all still WIP but constructive critizism is always appreciated.
Right now i'm still working on the general concept on how the farmland will look like. that means that i'm gonna practise on the shown area until i'm happy with the result and then afterwards will fill up the rest of the map in that way. so i in the end i hope it'll be still detailed despite the amount of space to be filled.
