blacKKnight63 has released a "proof of concept" map of Area 51 "Groom Lake" on the BI Forums.
This map is a very basic throw together thathas taken me about 1day ish so forgive me if it is not amazing, This map is majourly an ALPHA so it is not going to be any where close to done yet.... Great detail still needing to be done to it! Anyways this is what I have got, Source Folder Included.
Basic Contents -Full Working Runway's -Basic Building Placement -General Enviroment -Roads -ACCURATE Sat Data
Opteryx has released his Nevada Terrain Island in the BIS Forums and a video.
Right, now I started this 3 days ago and I just want to stress that this is FAR from complete, you could consider it an open alpha release.
At this stage the map contains nothing, no roads, objects or anything, just some basic clutter so don't expect it to be anything amazing. Also the detail textures, satellite texture and mask needs quite a lot of work. The terrain data is completely unedited, this is identical to the DEM data, only difference is that I had to reduce the total elevation by a 1000 meter due to helicopters being unable to fly at this height above sea-level. Now remember, this is still at a very early development state, so don't complain about it lacking in content.
Lester from the Mapfact team released the latest version of Mapfact Editor Upgrade over at the BIS Forums.
Changes (see the top left picture): - sand tracks 'roads' added - sand pathes 'sideways' added - vertical variants of camo nettings and bunkers added - some destructioneffects changed
teacup the well known animator from OFP days, has released a first pre-alpha version of his RTM animation kit for Maya in the BIS Forums.
Here's the pre-alpha I suppose (it's not feature complete), of my Maya animation kit for ArmA. Not sure when the following bits will see the light of day, but here it is, use it if you like.
For those who don't know, it's a little RTM (ArmA character animation files) import/export utility for Autodesk (sigh) Maya. Plus a rigged, ready to animate soldier. It's a follow-up of my similar kit I made for OFP, back in the glory days.
The Cars have been updated. See the first post for a new download link.
Fixes include (b/c you probably won't read the readme): -Fixed optics on all weapons to have accurate real-world zoom levels -Added standard M4 magazine capabilities to the Car L's -Removed the bolt animation until a fix can be found, eliminated the "see through the gun" issue.

Gnat has released an alpha Scuba Gnat addon on the BI Forums. More infos in Addons section, here.
A half-day addon. I was inspired by Spooners brilliant Scuba units, to create something that would be MP compatible. This is an Alpha release but could result in something a little better. It has advantages and disadvantages. Its not perfect so don't whine. I am providing the PBO and source.

Spooner has released an incredible -SPON Scuba v0.1.0- set of scripts/addon featuring underwater swimming on the OFPEC Forums. Requires ArmA 1.09 (or higher) and SPON Core (v0.5.1 or higher). Features : * Swim upwards or downwards in water (Uses and , which defaults to 'Q' and 'Z' keys). * All equipment, that would otherwise be lost, is preserved while swimming and re-equipped when getting out of the water. * Player can hold breath when swimming underwater, for a certain time, then starts taking damage. Resurfacing replenishes breath. * A player with air-supply equipment will use that when swimming underwater, rather than holding breath, until it runs out (AI are considered to have an infinite air-supply). * Accelerated swimming speed for players, at about 2x normal (pretending we are wearing a wetsuit and flippers). * AI can be made to scuba too, though they won't do it normally (using SPON_Scuba_swimAtDepth function). * AI breathe when underwater, producing bubble effect (particles). * Compatibility: o SP: Yes (not team-switch), but see limitations, below. o MP: No o Missions or addons that don't share key event handlers: No.
