Since this version of RUG_DSAI is in most matters entirely revamped from the old version, I figured it needed a whole new topic. The reason it's entirely different is thanks to Sickboy, who overhauled all my clunky old scripts, made it MP-compatible, and messed with the configs until they look like they do now (really sleek). Aside from that, RUG DSAI still does what it used to: gives your and the enemies' AI a voice beyond the stale radio messages. Features : - Ready made scripts for Dynamic Sound AI that is easily modifiable by the end-user. - Your AI will shout curses at the enemy, tell you when they're reloading, throwing a grenade, engaging, when they're hurt, fleeing or when they've scored a big kill! And much more. - Works in both SP, client-side MP and server-side MP - Features English, Arab, Russian and Spanish voices by default - Can assign voices to all sides (BLUFOR, OPFOR, Independent, Civilian, SideEnemy) - Easily activated/deactived by mission makers, addon makers or server admins as required, using global variables and config entries (see below for more information) - Auto-initialization using XEH(fully XEH compatible)
This is a beta version, and might have trouble. A lot of tests are not done. Especially, the multi play is not tested. :p I think that the thing used at the same time as RACS M60A3 is possible.
simba has released an impressive "Soy ArmA" video on the BI Forums, this video shows buildings also made by simba, released in alpha state.
Soy Arma is a movie I've been working on since a little while, it has 2 roles for me ; presenting my building pack and showing the atmospheres I like in Arma.
My buildings are all made from RL textures, I tried to recreate the atmosphere of some industrial sites I visited, some abandonned houses or old administrative buildings are also present in the pack.
Now unfortunately the building pack is pretty incomplete, so I'm more releasing this pack to enable the map/builging makers to pick what they like because even if there are many incomplete stuff, there are still a lots of buildings that are nearly 100% playable, ...

william1 has released an updated version of his standalone Flares countermeasure system addon on the BI Forums.
Franze kindly has given me permission to release a standalone addon that enables Flare countermeasures to all choppers and planes in the game.( all BIS choppers/planes - except Camels and DC3- and custom addons XEH compatibles, remember , if you are not XEH compatible, you are toasted, that's the motto). The flare system is extracted directly from Franze's great F-18 planes so it's all Franze's work. Extended eventhandlers by Solus and Killswitch is needed.

Mark XIII has updated his HiFi Sound FX Mod over on the BI Forums! The mod changes most if not all of the default ArmA sounds.

Yeb has release an update of his Realistic Designation addon on the BI Forums. This little add-on replaces almost all single weapon and vehicle names of the games from weapons to vehicles through missiles.It will only replace display names and does not replace weapon classnames, hence it won’t affect missions design and addweapon/removeweapon commands.

zGuba has released a Compact Fix Pack for ArmA on the BI Forums. In February I decided to make cumulative minor gameplay patch for ArmA instead of separate and sometimes self-overwriting addons.
The final pack v1.2 contains 3 files:
- ZGB_ConfigFix.pbo - little clientside config fix 2A42 ROF, Mi-17 FFAR count, AI uses PG7V against choppers, and RPG & M136 only against vehicles only in close ranges with decreased precision, turrets starting engine disabled, BIS islands maps have 100/1000 grids and 6 digit military coordinates system. This basically adds Irish infantry to the game, there are eight different units; Squad Leader, Rifleman, Marksman, Grenadier, Medic, AT Rifleman, Engineer and Machine Gunner. There are still some bugs (explained in the readme) i hope to fix these soon. There is a new helmet model and a new model for the rucksacks used.
This addon is packed with 7-zip, a packer tool similar to Winrar. You can get it from HERE, but the files can also be extracted with Winrar.

Karaya1 has released the BRDM-2 AA and Stryker AA variants in the BI Forums. It is the same BIS model but with a modified config file to be able to fire AA missiles.
I have made a very quick and dirty BRDM-2 AA conversion based on the normal ATGM one that ships with the game armed with the ingame Strela missiles. I know it's neither very realistic nor a substitute for a real SA-9 "Gaskin" but should be fun to have non the less. And on top of it the AI knows perfectly well how to make use of its new tools ;)
To complement Blufor with a similar asset I've also added a Stinger equipped Stryker. I wanted to stay somewhat realistic and kept the magazine capacity of 2 missiles on the Stryker. To make up for this disadvantage when compared to the BRDM-2 AA (5 per mag) I cut down the magazine reload time for the Stryker (12 vs 30).
I recommend using this addon in combination with NonWonderDogs "RocketBallistics"!
Ghost., a french addonmaker, has informed us about the release of the Robotech Vf-1s Fighter !
There is some bugs (notably on some textures alpha), but nothing that doesn't prevent from using the addon entirely. The "biggest " bug concerns AI which does not succeed in hiring a target with the plane. I could not make tests in multi, then it is possible that there is bugs also there.
