Mapfact has released their long awaited DAC v2.0 by Silola on the BI Forums. Mapfact has also published a comprehensive document about DAC v2.0 to be found here on Mapfact web site.
Two years after the release of DAC V1.0 for OFP, we are glad to announce DAC V2.0 is ready to be downloaded by you, though the development took more time, than we thought.
DAC (the short version for "Dynamic-AI-Creator") is a large-scale script project by Silola.
In (so called) "AI-zones", waypoints and units of different categories and sides are being generated. If you play a mission using DAC, you will get a different game experience every time restarting the mission. This is the result of every AI-zone being generated every time, when you start the mission.
Furthermore, when using DAC, your mission will gain momentum and replayability will increase drastically in comparison with standard missions. Nevertheless mission designers have to spend more time in balancing the opposite forces and in testing their mission.
The script is able to maintain supplies, in a dynamic, but by mission designers controllable way. The AI respawns at fully generated camps, so it is possible to create large, long lasting missions using DAC.
New features, such as global troup movements, or multiple de-/activation of AI-zones are taking mission design to a new level..
Features of the version 1, as for example the AI-Respawn or the DAC-AI-Addon, is also included but in better shape.
Even though already mentioned in the readme, thank you very much to all freelance translators! Without their help, a release of DAC would have to be delayed till the next year.
EddyD updated his shelter objects and released a new version on the BI Boards
I have removed the first shelter because it had too many bugs. Now there are 2 new hardend aircraft shelters (beta) for download They do have working animated doors and better protection against bombs
The Australians At War Modification presents the Arma community with the mod's very first addon release - the eagerly anticipated F88 Steyr pack. This pack includes several variations of the weapon, used extensivley by the Australian armed forces.
Well heres the first ever addon to be released by the Australians At War addon team. This addon pack features a series of F88s, the Australian derivative of the Steyr Aug.
This addon makes Arma wind influence the flight of nearly all projectiles - from GBUs and Mavericks to bullets and handgrenades. Wind only influences player's projectiles. It would be unfair to influence AI's bullets, as they don't know how to handle wind deflection.
0.5 Beta
- New more accurate mathematic model for bullets/shells etc - New more accurate separate mathematic model for RPG-7 - Tweaked values, now wind drift should be closer to the real deal. SVD, M24, AK-74 bullets deflect according to respective field manuals. Their trajectory should match the real with 90-95% accuracy. 2A42 and RPG-7 data is also taken from field manuals. Other projectiles coefficients are either based on BC data or on data for aforementioned ammo (and some guesswork :P ). - Guided missiles are no longer affected by wind (no point in it) - Added customizable wind info representation - Added ability to turn on AI wind deflection - Coefficients now stored/taken from the config, not script

Plasman released a small update for his New Zealand DPM Troops in the BI Forums. By popular demand Version 1.01 is now available. There is no change on the uniforms' textures. I just modified the config to make my addon compatible with AAW's awesome SteyrF88 addon. You can consider this version as a place holder until I update the troops with improved textures, non interceptor flack vest and wound textures.
Furthermore this addon is packed with 7-zip, a packer tool similar to Winrar. You can get it from HERE, but the files can also be extracted with Winrar.
zGuba updated his small addon that changes the fire and salvo mode of the 2A42 & FFAR rockets to a more realistic value in the BI Forums. This addon is based on Inkompetent'sBetter Kamov 1.0.
Changes: 2.0 - 2A42 30mm cannon rate of fire, 2 fast automatic modes - single and 5 round dozed bursts. - Simplified configs - 8 FFAR salvo mode and config rubbish removed due to CTD-ing players that don't have the addon. - *** I suggest using FDF Sounds mod ***
Known MP bugs: - 8 rocket salvo does not work in MP when server is not running this mod - Ka-50 needs reloading it's Vikhr missiles (just press R, it's just minor bug)
ATTENTION: You have to choose between BIS and FDF rocket sounds (to use the second one, You must have FDF Sounds running). ZGB_FFARSounds.pbo and ZGB_FFARSounds_FDF.pbo won't work simultaneously.
BilOlson released another addon in the BI Forum. This time he made the 5th special forces group.
Here is my rendition of 5th Special Forces Group for Armed Assault. New Faces and uniforms. Groups in Editor.
