Reopening MehMan's mini mod Burning Sands: Africa '42 by FF Studio. We decided to change mod name from Burning Sands: Africa '42 to only Burning Sands because we dont want to be limited by date.
The Most noticable changes are the new Hi-poly "Mitznefet" helmet covers and the new radio operators. You might notice a few more changes, take it as a challenge
bravo 6 posted several new impressions of his Iraq themed map called Safwan on the BIS Forums.
Just a quick idea how the several small villages will look like from the air. The Villages look pour, but with time they will gain more things.
There are some visible bugs in the pictures that I'm aware and will fix with time. The project is moving slowly because among testing, modeling and fixing old stupid and crappy bugs.. the real life consumes too many time
GodHammer has started working on various russian bombs and released some screenshots in the BIS Forums
Since I have noticed a lot of very nice fighter-bombers around, I decided to build up all the Kab bombs family. Undecided yet on the satellite guided ones, I'll make KR and L versions in every weight class ( 250, 500, 1500 kg ), to add some variations to weapons loadout.
Rip31st has released 3 new WIP pictures of his World War II mod on the BI Forums.
Some more scenery sneak peaks. Areas around Villers-Bocage and St-Lo. ArmA2 has recommended multi-core CPU's with new graphics cards. As you can see by the detail I'm putting into this terrain. I would recommend the same.
Stubblehopper has informed us about the release of some WIP screenshots from upcoming WW2 Frontline addons.
Included some screen shots of stuff I've been working on lately. Should be ready for another ww2 release in the next week or so, this will concentrate on the Eastern Front and include, Russian soldiers in winter padded jackets, NKVD officers, Russian tank crew and Russian Scout /Snipers. On the German side, I've updated the waffen ss models and graphics and included a new Waffen ss officer, plus the long awaited tank crew will be released. Shortly after this release I should be in a position to release a Soviet T34/85, just working on the last of the graphics issues and the config ccp, enjoy!
Basically this pack has a few US infantry models from late '04 essentially through to the end of '05. That is, of course, just after ACU started being fielded to US units, leading to many pie-bald units running around, as these ones well demonstrate.
They'd be at home in an early-phase OIF mission of sorts. They blend decently in desert terrain, and perform no worse than BIS units in woodland terrain - the vests help (excepting the two blokes I put in (the extremely rare, I might add) DCU vests, poor devils). Even better, they are very well optimised. The "heaviest" unit has 4 sections, and around 9,000 faces. And yes, he's a National Guardsman. ... When you've got 27 custom models to make, you tend to try and make them lightweight.
I left shoulder unit and combat patches off because people said they'd prefer nothing to be there, so be it. The clan patch should hopefully show up there in MP.
