Hi, Here is a lil pic of the M1114 that im working on. Its pretty plan jane. theres not really alot to model Since the BIS HMMWV model is being used as the base. Just need to move some stuff around. Just wanted to get some feedback on it. Maybe some ideas etc.
RobertHammer has posted several WIP screenshots of his upcoming and updated weapon addons on the BI forums. RobertHammer also mentioned being working on G36's, HK416's and other European-made weapons with different variants, which will be included in his upcoming 'European weapon pack'. He'll be also updating his already-released AK's pack with new weapons such as Bizons, different Russian-made machineguns and RPG7's. Take a look at the BI forum thread for more info!

icemotoboy has posted several nice screenshots of his Hercules C130 in the BI Forums.
I'm happy to make the addon available, although I may not be devoting as much time as initially anticiapted, as the guys at RKSL are producing a C130 I suspect is of a very high standard. Instead I will devoting most of my time to my new island and getting the F117 finished completely. Some of this will rub off on the C130, as we use it alot of USEC already.
Currently the C130 has a number of issues that prevent an Alpha release: * Corrupt Geometry. There is some geometry corruption that prevents binarization. Hence there is a noticably lag when it is introducted in game, which affects performance. * Loading and Unloading cargo. You can load cargo pallets into the back of the C130, using a special truck. Outside of our special "USEC Revolutions" map, this really has little effect, but you can do Air Drops with it of things like vehicles etc... * Textures. The textures on the inside are temporary only, as I didn't have the full permissions to use the textures. I will be replacing the textures inside with something else, unless I can gain permission.
These pictures were taken from OPERATION GREEN FIELD, which was a test of a special map file created that allows an operation to be conducted over a long number of days as a persistent map, building bases etc...

Based on a real world location, although I have taken some creative license. I have used Digital elevation scans for the real-world location (extreme lattitude island), to a resolution of 30 meters. Maximum elevation is 1100m, and the area of the map is well over 12,000km square. For the sake of comparison, Sahrani is 400km square. Originally the area was much larger, but it was taking forever (hours) to fly anywhere so I decided to half the size.
The map will feature: * Custom snow-camo units * My hypothermia script * Custom sounds * Weather effects
Isla Barbuda is a project that has been designed for the IC-Arma Tournament. Therefore it has been designed with the tournament style play in mind.I would not normally design such a terrain with a symetrical layout but for this it is needed.All heightmaps were made by hand in PS. This island has not really been designed with AI in mind so thier effectiveness is unknown in citys/towns etc.
This addon is packed with 7-zip, a packer tool similar to Winrar. You can get it from HERE, but the files can also be extracted with Winrar.

When I release it (under the same conditions as the other vehicles) it'll be with another few vehicles that have also been sitting on my hard drive unreleased -- an old Ford F-250 (equally beat-up) and a 1940s vintage International farm truck, at least.
Yesterday Marek from BIS posted a job offer in the official forums. The Bohemia Interactiv Studios are looking for experienced Terrain Developers.
External Part Time Terrain Modellers Bohemia Interactive intends to employ a number of part-time developers to assist with ArmA and VBS projects. Candidates should have demonstrated experience at development of both 3D models (including both buildings and vegetation) and terrain in the BI tools Oxygen and Visitor. Ideally candidates should be able to work independently to deliver completed, geo-specific terrain areas in a timely manner. Successful candidates will be expected to work from home.
Terrain Developer / Trainer In addition, one full-time position is available for a person capable of conducting training classes on BI tools (both Oxygen and Visitor). Candidates should be confident at speaking to a group and ideally have demonstrated experience at presenting training on computer software. High levels of competence at using both Oxygen and Visitor are required. The position requires frequent, worldwide travel.
Candidates are to send an email to jobs@vbs2.com detailing relevant experience and also provide an example terrain area with custom 3D models. The example terrain area and custom 3D models must be developed entirely by the applicant. Applications are to be submitted by the 30 June 2008.
Everything is ingame and working. All that needs doing now is the different versions and configs/skins set up. There will be a BETA release in Binarised Format to enable us to gauge relative performance. Fix any problems and react to feedback. After that the proper release will follow with the MLODs and some conversion templates and Paint kits etc. IE all the stuff that allows you make your own skinned versions etc.

The HWM is back with another update as to what we are up to.
The new and improved weapons pack is almost finished. We reworked the models and textures of the H&K G3A3-A4 and A4 Marksman series to produce a better visual result and enhanced gameplay. The new weapon package will also include the FN-FAL Standard, Para and Marksman series, the Standard Infantry M60, Special Forces M60E and the M60D Heavy Machine Gun series, the M72 Light Anti-tank Weapon and the H&K HK21 Squad Automatic Weapon. All models and textures have been made from scratch.
The M60D model is designed to be implemented in our United States Army UH-1H Huey Transport Helicopter series, which is also work in progress. At this point we are trying to overcome some minor polygon limitations so as to depict the weapon in the best possible way.
