  SLX Mod v1.9995 released Addon release    
Solus released a new updated version v1.95 of his SLX Mod. Addon include: AI improvements, some animation fixes, different wouding system (different from the First Aid modules), and various little tweaks.

Here are the changes:
1.95:
-Added keys and signed all addons.
-SLX is always tested with ACE.
-Lowered bullet sounds.
-Made knife work better and use by AIs better. Added AK74 bayonet knife to east and res sides. Added crosshair.
-Made it easy to move people and objects into vehicles, just get into a vehicle when dragging.
-Made AIs need more overmatch to surrender and never surrender to aircraft.
-Changed land vehicle AI handling to crash less, not run people over, ram walls and vehicles less, handle maneuvering in close spaces better, and handle traffic better.
-Tweaked AI plane handling, they should almost never spin out and crash.
-Tried making micro AI a little better in CQB.
-UAV controls: Binocular button, place marker and laser designate position and UAV will fly to point at the target, then target the laser and fire when the UAV is pointed in the right direction. Pressing the binocular button again will move the laser. Click on the map to turn off the laser and send the UAV somewhere else.
-Fixed ace hellfire launcher for AI and UAV.
-Made UAV have more lift for less AI crashing. Should be almost impossible for AI to screw up flying the UAV.
-Made UAV target reveal laser correctly for targeting.
-Made UAV target laser easier to use.
-Removed sounds in UAV.
-Improved UAV view distance setting and initial altitude.
-Fixed an occasional find cover lag in AI fsm.
-Made get out animation have view movement.
-Added "soldier" speech for basic soldiers.
-Added "Marine" speech for Marines.
-Added "charlie" speech for Chedaki.
-Added "truck" speech for HMMWVs, UAZs, and other trucks.
-Fixed clipping and IK on healing animations.
-Fixed .rpt error on explosions.
-Enable binocular optics in kneel-erect stance changes.
-Added action for unloading of wounded and dead people from vehicles.
-Faster helicopter turret speeds.

  [SP] Revolution in Chernorussia (Quest) Mission release    

Arigato has released a sp missions pack Revolution in Chernorussia on the BI-Forums. 2 missions from russian community available as english and russian language.

Revolution in Chernorussia

You play as a guest worker from Takistan arrived in Chernorussia on earnings. However, Chernorussia and its citizens work almost never find a country on the verge of revolution. It remains to be learned from this situation, the maximum benefit for themselves and earn a revolutionary mood of the population.

Revolution in Chernorussia: a retaliatory move
Chernorussian President doing everything possible to end the country's deep crisis that was triggered by the previous government. However, people do not believe anyone has any and willing to seize power by force. You play as one of the guards the president, his life and stability of the state in your hands!
Note: mission will be available only after the mission "Revolution in Chernorussia"

  World Tools (v 1.3) released Editing    
shezan74 has released the newest version 1.3 of his World Tools on the BI-Forums.

Changelog:

v1.3
- Forest generator now export forest placement mask images. You can use those images to update your satpics or operate color/texture modifications or as object distribution preview.
Function is available from the Forest Generator form and from the Main Form. [feature suggested by MikeBart]
- New function "Remove all objects" from the selected forest mask color.
- "Apply to nearest colors" in Forest Generator now set color percentage too.
- New function "Rescale percentage to 100%" to rescale object percentages under specified color to 100%. This function is also automatically performed on forest generation
- Fence generator zoom improved to keep the actual position on the screen center.
- Some automations has been refined to increase user productivity.
- New feature "Version check" on user request, to be sure to have the latest release of the program.
- Dozens of new template objects available on all categories.

  Takistan Army Deployed! Videos    
Bohemia Interactive updated the ArmA2.com Website with a new teaser video for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead showing the Takistan Army.

Bohemia Interactive introduces the Army of Takistan, the second faction in the forthcoming standalone expansion pack, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.



The Takistani Army is equipped with a mixture of Cold-War-era equipment of both Eastern and Western bloc origin, supplied during the interregnum of 1988-91. Local or supreme warlords command and control military manpower across local tribal forces. Several main factions control military vehicles and aircraft either stolen from or supplied by the Soviets; however, their numbers and capabilities are limited.

Armed with FN FALs, AKS-74s rifles, PKMs and other personal weapons, soldiers usually wear distinct steel helmets and khaki or lizard-patterned uniforms; special military police forces also wear black turbans. The Takistan army chiefly employs Soviet Cold-War era vehicles: T-34, T-55 and T-72 tanks, BRDM-2 personnel carriers, UAZ cars and V3S trucks. Military vehicles are painted in irregular amorphous-shaped fields of desert yellow and dark green.

The Takistani Air Force uses the Mi-24D helicopter gunships, L-39ZA light attack aircraft and Mi-8 transport helicopters. The close air support role is provided by type Su-25 aircraft. Special weapons regiments are known to exist, which can deploy a stockpile of SS-1c Scud-B missiles. It is also believed that secret weapons development programmes have sought to produce and procure chemical WMDs, as a result of Soviet-backed schemes aimed at maximizing regional influence.

  DamBusters - SP/MP mission by j_frost Mission release    
j_frost has released his mission DamBusters as SP/MP version on the BI-Forums.

I am very new to scripting and this is my first attempt at mission making. There where so many possible senario outcomes and I have tried to cover them all. I could not have done this without the above scripts and help from various comunity members. My scripting is very much work in progress, but all missions have been tested on dedicated server, client server and as a single player mission.

  HEXAgon : Wheeled pack and Wheeled & Tracked pack Addon release    
HEXAgon has released, as one of their "all in one pack", an HEXAgon wheeled&tracked pack v1.2 adding French VAB APC and AMX10RC from brand new Wheeled pack 1.1 and previouly released Leclerc from Tracked pack 1.2 on HEXAgon site.

A new pack has been released :Wheeled.
This pack is adding 10-RC and VAB to HEXAgon units.
Of course there are many versions of those two vehicles :
1. 10-RC
2. 10-RC Revalorisé
3. VAB VTT
4. VAB 12.7
5. VAB TOP
6. VAB T20/13
7. VAB Mephisto
8. VAB Sanitaire


So you can get all HEXAgon vehicles and units in separate addons or in "all in one packs".

I'm back again and I have made a few more objects and you'll be happy to know that IceBreakr and I has teamed up about Jade Groove I'll post some previews of what it could look like as soon as I can.

  HARCP - Dynamic Sound (echo) Handling System Videos    
tpM from the Hungarian Arma Community released an YouTube video showing the upcoming HARCP - Dynamic Sound System on the BI-Forums. Sounds like a great new sound mod is on the way!

The system will simulate environment specific weapon firing sounds. Different echo/reverb in mountain/hilly areas, villages, cities, forests and also in specific buildings.
