Something does need to be done about the horizon. It's never really looked good since OFP, spoils what is otherwise an incredible landscape.

System that should run ArmA II on medium settigs:
Intel Core2Duo CPU - 2x3000GHZ - 150€ (coz of good cache, and overcloaking - @3300Ghz (+10%) should be possible with good air cooling good Mainboard for that cpu - 100€ Graphic card GTX2600 XT - 160€ DDR 2 Ram, Kingston 4 Gigs - 62€ ---------------- Sum: 472 €
In the "good gaming" authumn time probably about 300€ or less. Then the game will be fully patched and other good games will come out. I can wait.
Sry for the offtopic, but i am just thinking loud.

I bought my computer one and a half years ago for 899 Euros... And I can run ArmA on nearly everthing on "very high"
You wouldn't even get to Europe and return to the US with 900 € ;)

I agree with alpha125........the price of a computer that can run Arma is the same for a very very nice 2 weeks travel to Europe (assuming that i live in North-America)...for that price you could go to Ukraine and drive a real Tank (T-55) including shooting with his main gun.....

@ good point. Well - if you put your ArmA visibility at 10.000m you will have the same effect. The fog is not visible when to far away.

What's up with the horizon?

Is there a way to get realistic System specs?
What is told to be minimum game specs is always about 15 - 25 fps (not only on ArmA box) and what is told to be recomended is about 22 - 35 fps.
I don't know - maybe game developers are all hardcore tweakers and skilled overcloakers with fluid netrogen cooling.. but i rly! would like to know on what machine the screens were made..
I don't care about AI or warfare any more. If I can go through forest and hunt a deer ist would be enough sim for me :)
