 Zipper5 has released an updated v1.021 version of his SP Loose Ends mission on the BI Forums.
Shortly after the end of the USMC operation in Chernarus, Akula Lopotev revamped the lackluster ChDKZ forces with the help of their Russian friends. They were given new, modern equipment and exceptional training. Lopotev renamed the ChDKZ to the Chernarussian Red Army, and designated it the official military forces of Chernarus. There was only one thing left for Lopotev to do, and that was to eliminate the competition. NAPA only have one stronghold left - the town of Zelenogorsk. And you, are going to lead the operation to clear it.

Once again the FDF Mod site has been updated with a new ingame WIP picture : here is the NH90.
NHIndustries NH90 helicopter hovers above the treeline during a landing exercise. NH90 is a state of the art aircraft which has recently entered service across Europe. Finland has chosen the SAR (search and rescue) variant and first helicopters have been in service since 2008.

Soul_Assassin has informed us about the release of MaskMaper2, a powerful tool for map makers on the BI Forums. MaskMaper2 is the tool from a joint job by Rocket and Soul_Assassin
From Rocket's initial post on the BI Forums :
Imported Vegetation - I took vegetation data in Globe Mapper, exported as a BMP, imported into the BMP to Text program. This gave me a vegetation mask. I then wrote a VBA macro in Excel to read through the file, and randomly place a number of objects based on the brightness of the mask. This macro then exports a list of items to a text file. Then import the text file into Visitor and the objects are all placed! - I have just tested this process out, and it works.
Just to reitterate, I've now made a way that you can import hundreds of thousands if vegetation items within minutes All you do is paint a mask of the area that you want to deploy vegetation, go through some (reasonably complex) export steps, and they're in visitor. No mucking around individually placing them.
From Soul_Assassin's last MaskMaper2 release post on the BI Forums:
Features: - no need to convert to text images anymore. Just load in the BMP masks. - now comes with an intuitive GUI interface. No need to retype everything many times. - a little better optimized and organized. Now you use terrain size to calculate square sizes so its less error prone. - preview maps - estimate number of objects - option to generate 3 object files at a time using the separate channels.
The tutorial will be updated once i hear from Rocket.

 Fer has informed us about the release of F2 new version : v2-1-3.
F2 is the successor to the popular BAS f mission development framework for ArmA. The new framework contains many of the features you know from BAS f, updated to work with ArmA 2, plus some new components which take advantage of the new game's special features.

NouberNou has released a Map Plus v1.0 addon on the BI Forums.
This addon does a few things to the map:
1. Removes satellite texture from any zoom level. 2. Changes the color of the contour lines and hill numbers to make them more readable. 3. Made forests more washed out and slightly dimmed the background color to be easier on the eyes. 4. Adds in a ruler that you can draw on the screen. 5. Adds in a compass that you can more easily use to align the above ruler. 6. Adds in basic tools to draw lines.

Norrin has released an updated version beta 0.6 of his MP fast rope script addon on the BI Forums.
Changes Nothing too spectacular just added the ability to fastrope from Mi-24s. This is quite cool as I've animated the side doors on the helo to open before ropes are deployed and then close when the ropes are dropped. Addon works in the same way as the previous version.

TRexian has released an updated - Ver. 01e - JTD Ambient Civilian Traffic module on the BI Forums.
The idea for this was born of the great work BI did on the civilian modules. With civs and vehicles in the same town, it only made sense to have them drive around. (There is a small - VERY small - chance of this when you put the ALICE and SILVIE modules in together, but it wasn't enough for me.) So, I developed this. It relies on the ALICE module to spawn the civs and vehicles. I consider this a public release candidate. If there are no issues, I'll just update from here

343rdBadger has released on the BI Forums an updated version of his Russian Armour Pack with BTRs added.
Added the BTR's.These have their own slots and can be found under Russia/Btr variants(not under armour!!!).Two camos each...winter/urban and desert.
EDIT!!...added extendeded event handlers and changed the crew to arma 2 crew.Download link has been updated.I haven't signed this addon due to it being an open ended project.Didn't seem right to close it.

Its come to my attention that these addons need CBA to run.I did not know this until now,so I apologize that I didn't forsee this when writing the readme.Hope it didn't cause to much frustration.I think what happened is I had installed the CBA before I ported these over,thus not knowing it was need all along...duh,hehe.

Freshman has informed us about the release by Solus of an updated 1.6 SLX Mod on the BI Forums.
I've been testing the first few missions of the campaign and have fixed some bugs and have found no bugs for a while. I also tested MP and it seems to work fine with no bugs. So the missions, campaign, and MP have had no bugs for a long time. Sorry for the long wait, I wanted to test it more thoroughly. Thanks for the support!

Takko has released a "small weapon pack" on the BI Forums.
Its been a while since my last release since I'm helping another Member at his works because he does not have a lot of time to offer, but bright times are just ahead and incoming.
Today I'll release my Galil's in a updated form and shape, plus the F1 SMG weapon, used by the australian forces during the 'Nam era.

p.s. guns in photo are just default BIS, our army of course uses FN Herstal F2000 and it will be present along as F2000S.

 IceBreakr has informed us about CROOKS v1.3 Panthera Edition PvP mission release, a new version of this interesting new gamemode/PvPvAI multiplayer mission for ArmA2.
I'm releasing a new CROOKS v1.3: Island Panthera Edition!
Changes in this version: - Island Panthera Edition, mission moved to my island due to several requests - many fixes, now evidence needs to be picked at the Courthouse by Police Chief and it takes longer for Judge to review it. - completely new Jail design - fixed selectable start time (Night, Morning, Noon, Afternoon and Evening) - fully tested in MP (dedicated server) with 16 players (tnx to SBP Team!)
