Mr_Centipede released an updated version of his small script addon called Cent_Stick2gether on the BIS Forums. This script will make AI stick together in formation (AI won't issue engage orders) in firefight. They will only break formation and engage the enemy if friendly group to enemy ratio is greater than 70%.
It's just a simple script, but I think it would make firefight more interesting.
[SEN]Archangel released more info and a picture of his upcoming AH-1Z Pack on the BI Forums.
And as a bonus to the AH-1's I've also added these reskinned UH-1Y's to the Helo pack I'm working on. I'll be adding hidden selections and markings 'etc' if/when BIS release the source models to the community as I'd need to be able to edit the models in Oxygen before I can add anything to them.
I'll probably release the beta in a week or two depending on how I get on with the skinning, configs, scripts and of course the testing.
Now to an rather unconventional news. The first time since the OFP release in 2001 someone has written and released a song dedicated to Bohemia Interactive. But now Tophe has sent us his excellent Ode to Bohemia. Nice voice, great job :) !

Ok, here is a couple of WIP pics of the Assault Webbing i have been working on, still alot to do to it (mainly relating to the textures), I have gone for the modular style webbing that Poacher and da12thMonkey showed me loads of images for (thanks to them).
The new shaders are working on the webbing but as with the colour map this could well be worked on lots more One problem i have had is that the scale of the PALS loops are a bit big on the fron although these are buried under pouches so it shouldn't matter too much.
Any suggestions welcome, the main thing i am thinking of changing is the underlying DPM colour on the Assault vest, for now i have the lighter version i used on my old Brit units but i also have the current DPM i am using, just wondered if people think it should be a bit different...

Oh Also i will have to take a break for a couple days (would really like to crack on) but I'm doing photographs for a wedding so will be busy with that instead...
EDIT: Might get round to putting a texture to the NVG clip too.... bout time really...
The well known freddern released v1.0 of his Norwegian Special Forces (FSK) over at the BIS Forums.
This addon contains Norwegian Special Forces (FSK) units in woodland camo for Arma2.
The units are retextured FR Units and the pack consists of a Team Leader, Marsksman, Grenadier, Machine Gunner and Medic. You can find them under Blufor -> FSK -> Men I have also added new generic names so that the units will have norwegian names.
Civilian Package - Vitaz G (With orange tip and semi automatic) - Vitaz NL (Shooting with non lethal pellets, not sure yet how to script that)
Atm I am solving the LODS, Parallex Maps and Configuration.
Status atm: 40%

Southy informed us al on the BI Forums that he has released a conversion of BIS OH-58 Kiowa Warrior from OFP to ArmA 2.
This is a beta release, you will find bugs the object of this release is to find as many as possible and get them fixed, I'll probably release one more beta before relasing a signed version.

Fully functioning cockpit with dials etc.
All versions will have the Mast Mounted Sight, operated by the gunner, primary use is for laser designation/spotting. Zoom is approx 1.5 longer than cobra.

Placebo informed the community on the BI Forums that if we may believe Bohemia Interactive's CEO Marek Spanel ArmA v1.03 patch will very soon be released, although no release date given yet.
Patch log:
- Improved airplane HUD visibility. - Direct analogue throttle and brake for airplanes now available. - Optimization: Reduced frame stutter near map borders. - Sea surface was not rendered in NE area out of map. - Terrain surface was sometimes using wrong parallax map. - Grenade can destroy a building just by impact - Radio echo elimination - Team switch did not work when player died - More flexible configuration of Flares in the config (brightness, size) - Reduced AI detecting slowly moving enemy vehicles by ear. - Prevent killed units reporting who killed them. The above will be fixed/improved as applicable and are of course subject to change in terms of inclusion in 1.03, nor does this list mean that other fixes won't be included with 1.03

KEVBAZ has released a Attack&Defend 10v10 - Prototype - v0.95 TvT mission on the BI Forums.
Russian Forces have managed to steal a protoype US Fighter Jet and they currently have it in a warehouse in Zelenogorsk. The US team must infiltrate the russian base at night and destroy the prototype before they steal the technology held within. Team Russia must defend the prototype at all costs, theres only 30 minutes before the Russian reinforcements arrive, who will suceed?
