  Hunt Waldo 2 v1.0 beta by Bon Mission release    
Bon has released a Hunt Waldo 2 v1.0 beta coop mission on the BI Forums.

Hi Community,
Second version of my very first mission - so its the very second mission I'd say.
Here some details.

Coop Mission for 43 players: Same story, find Waldo, the oppositions leader, and bring him to your base.
Waldo hides somewhere in Chernarus, to find him we have to clear seven cities from enemy forces. (These cities were picked randomly on the whole map).
Mission accomplished if Waldo stands on the airfield, mission failes if he dies.

- In every city there is a radio tower that can only be destroyed by satchel charges and which is used by the enemy to call paratroops from time to time.
- Once again only pilots can fly, engineers can build stuff, Squadleader can call artillery missions, only ATs can carry launchers and so on.
- Clearing a city the team unlocks a special vehicle like LAVs, M1A1, Cobra.
- Trucks and HMMWVs can be lifted by the blackhawk helicopters.

Now to the heart of this mission: the reward system.
Standing near the Service Truck the engineers can build MG Nests, AA Tripods, TOW Tripods or Respawn points which cost money.
After a city is free of enemy forces, the team receives money, the amount dependend on the teams deathcount due to this mission. Means more than 20 Deaths there won't be any money, up to no deaths in the team which means earning a lot of money. Note that respawn points are very expensive.

Of course it is a bit boring just to clear cities from enemies, so expect some other action from time to time.

  Simple Vehicle Respawn Script v1.5 Editing    
Tophe informed and send us an updated version v1.5 of his script to respawn a vehicle when it is destroyed or left empty in the battlefield. It works with any vehicle.

Changes in this version:

* Option to set the INIT of the respawned vehicle.
* Vehicle now respawns with original name.

  JGSDF-Weapons Addon release    
waterhiro send us a new Weapon Pack addon. Addon contains two weapons Type89 and type64.

  Retextured RAF CH47´s released Addon release    
Mr Burns released his retextured RAF CH47´s on the BI Forums original model made by AfrographiX.

Installation

Place the Addon (.pbo) and signature (.bisign) into any of your modfolders,
preferably together with the required RAF CH47.

  Sniper Rifle - USSRsniper Screenshots    
USSRsniper released two new images of his work in progress M-200 Sniper Rifle.

UV mapping done, did some basic Ambient Occlusion. And got it in game.

And don't expect to sue it on ranges of 2286 meters in ArmA 2 because no matter what view distance soldiers simply dissapear somewhere around 1000 meters

  British 4 Rifle Soldiers WIP Screenshots    
STALKERGB released three pictures of his work in progress British 4 Rifle Soldiers units on the BI Forums.

Right to get MehMan away from feeling dirty I'm gonna distract everyone with an update

The Beltkit is now on the units (or at least the ones that are using the new model, so thats the rifleman and marksman for now), the model is courtesy of Cougar so a big thanks to him, I only made small adjustments to it (added a bit to the back of the webbing, re-shaped it to fit my unit model). I have also added the new shaders to the webbing although i haven't done it in any real detail yet so will be going back over that at some point.

Although not much visually (except the beltkit) has changed i have been combining lots of textures to make things a little more efficient, trying to keep it a 1 a model but I don't think I will really ever achieve that.

The buttons on the smock have been changed (i hope Jonny_Li doesn't mind that i used the button from his pictures), the shaders have yet to be properly updated for the button though so it still looks like a large press stud.

Oh and the inside of the smock is greener now (think i already metioned that somewhere).

  coop14 Hunt Waldo by Bon updated Mission release    
Bon has released an updated -1.31- version of his coop14 Hunt Waldo mission on the BI Forums.

The main goal of the mission is to find Waldo, the oppositions leader, and extract him to the LHD carrier.

1. Start as USMC from the LHD. Clear the LZ (what's the beach south of Strelka actually) on Utes so you can securely land on the island.
2. Clear Strelka, destroy its Radar tower.
3. Conquer the airfield.
4. Make your way to Kameny, and search for Waldo, the enemy's commander.
5. Once you've found Waldo, bring him to the LHD. ALIVE!
Mission accomplished if Waldo is on the carrier,
mission failed if Waldo is dead.


Update v1.31 changelog:
- removed all modules that have to be synchronized with units (incompatible to respawning) except High Command
- added by-hand-implemention of respawnpoint build
- integrated the medics into the squads
- task-fix after respawn
- added Spawn dialogue

  Partial and Full Screen NVGs by bravo6 Addon release    
bravo 6 has released his Full Screen NVG addons on the BI Forums.

This is my 1st release addon for ArmA2, its nothing special i know..
I don't have ArmA2 yet but i would like to share and help others on this department.
Ok, i thought why not release several versions of Night Visions as options for those who actually want to change.

  CBA: Community Base Addons updated Editing    

Spooner has informed the community on the BI Forums about the release of an updated 0.1.2 version of the Community Base Addons [CBA].

Key Changes

* FIXED: ALICE and SILVIE stop working when CBA is active
* FIXED: Support for the "AnimStateChanged" event needed.
* ADDED: JIP-persistent markers (CBA_fnc_setMarkerPersistent, CBA_fnc_getMarkerPersistent).

  CTF-2-10 Warehouse Warfare v1 by KEVBAZ Mission release    

KEVBAZ has released a CTF-2-10 Warehouse Warfare mission on the BI Forums.

WarehouseWarfare is a up to 10 player capture the Flag map, it is based in a medium sized arena in the docklands, the flags are inside 2 large warehouses and out side in the area are multiple obsticles.

Teamwork and tactics will win the day

Hey guys

So I finally finished my new mission, its still in beta state and I need some testers. Let me know what you guys would like to change and what would make the mission better. I hope you like my mission.

Situation Report :
"American forces are pinned at Windy mountain. We are defending a small town called Kozlovka. Intel reports that Russian forces could attack at any time between 12:20 and 13:00pm. We are but a small group of infantry and we have no armor so this mission will be extremely hard. Allied troops could also arrive at any moment so we are but hoping for the best. We are unsure of how many enemy soldiers we are facing but this is all we have left."

  We Were Soldier by KEVBAZ Mission release    

KEVBAZ has released an ArmA2 version of his OFP We Were Soldiers MP mission on the BI Forums.

Hi Folks

After catching the Arma2 bug i decied to dig up some of my old ofp missions, this we were soldiers map was made about 6-7 years i go i woudl guess.. at the time it used all vietnam addons, such as evis's origional hueys and seb's nam island.

I have painstakingly converted it to be used in arma, and after many hours labour im very happy with the result, alot (all) of the scripts had to be reworked to boot, but touch wood its working well. now onto the info....


Edit July 12th, 2009 v0.75 now available

Change log: v.075
Mission briefing now added.
Refined the scripts and removed origional unused ones.
Slightly adjusted chopper waypoints.
Added setviewdistance 2000 to help with system lag.

  Sweep & Strike SP mission by UbiquitousUK Mission release    

UbiquitousUK has released an update -1.2- of his Sweep & Strike SP mission on the BI Forums.

Elements of the USMC are preparing for a coordinated strike on the Russian held town of Zelenogorsk. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: You will lead Alpha team in securing the northern aproach to the town. Bravo team will assist you in securing the town centre. Eliminate all hostiles in the target zone. SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Recon photos show two Russian T-90 tanks in for repair at the Russian area base of operations. Once zelenogorsk is secure CAS aircraft will be vectored to your location. Proceed to the russian area H.Q. and direct the aircraft to destroy these tanks before they can be returned to operational status.
