Hoot, informed us about an update of goArmA to ArmA 2 !
Hi folks,
Our charlie squad has lifted goArmA, our one-click multilauncher suite, up to Version 1.9.7 with support for ArmAII now. If there are no more bugs found, this will be the last version from the 1.0 branch, because goArmA2 is in the pipeline with lots of new features, new interfaces and hey, we want to focus on that :P
The minipage for downloads is still present at goArmA.com. If you have goArmA installed already, wait for the notification by the tool itself to update. If you've disabled autoupdate, trigger it manually.
Videotutorial for 1.0.42 can be found over at Youtube
Fortran released two pictures of a work in progress A-10 aircraft on the BI Forums.
Working on a small port of the BIS MLOD A-10 from A1 over to A2. This really began because I wanted to change the way the weapons were displayed on the pylons and without the A2 MLOD's this wasn't possible (issues shown in this post).
Also wanted to load any missile/bomb loadout onto the jet and have it display properly on whichever pylons I wanted. Have converted the original MLOD A-10 over and edited the model to have only 2 FFAR pods and now 11 hardpoints (9 + the 2 FFAR).
Will also be making it IAWS compatible so the weapon loadout can be changed on-the-fly in-game. Had loads of help from Myke so big thanks to him. Will be releasing this when completed for anybody who wants more flexibility in the A-10.
Might also re-skin and make some other minor changes including maybe a new weapon for the center pylon such as a clusterbomb or something else. Is still WIP, proxies need repositioning etc.
Mini update. Fixed some texture problems, now using the new super shader. Fixed the proxies etc. Testing a camo pattern
Dr_Eyeball has released a beta 0.2 version of his promising Devastation: mission pack on the BI Forums.
Introduction: I'm constantly reading about how players want more complex Team vs Team missions and are even asking for the Project Reality mod concept and there are not enough people doing full featured TvT missions which are suitable for public servers, so this game mode (AAS and sub-components combined) has been designed and created to incorporate the fundamental concepts of Project Reality along with many improvements and extra features to create a unique game mode experience for Arma 2.
Game mode description: The Devastation/AAS v2 is a competitive team versus team MP game mode suitable for public servers. It uses the basis of Sector Control with the added extensions of grouped zones, linked sectors and sequenced capture order to provide a battlefront concept which still works well for fewer players (20-50). It does not work well for too few players (eg: 6v6).
AAS Core Engine: The Devastation game mode is built on top of the AAS v2 Engine, which was developed by ArMoGaDoN (aka: [WWS]WarWolf). The AAS2 Engine essentially controls the objectives for the mission. Devastation only uses less than half of the engine's full capabilities, which we'll hopefully rectify in future. Other 3rd party scripts are listed in the readme file. The Arma 2 version was ported over from ArmA.
Beta v0.2 Beta v0.2 is now available for download for testing purposes. Hopefully it addresses the core bugs found in v0.1.
Old Bear note : Some of these Maps from Telejunky on ARMA2BASE.DE are already on our .ftp where you can also download them , I can also share with you a small .pdf map [532 kb] made from Telejunky's first released map I am using myself on a day to day basis :

Falseprophet from the Lost Soul Division Clan has released a LSD Missionpack on the BI Forums.
Hey guys.
Our small mission pack is out again for ArmA2.
Including a few TDM and Cooperativ Missions for A2 Multiplayer.
There is nothing huge in it.. its just the latest work from us =) And i dont want to post here a new thread for every small update.. so you might have to check out our forum for it if you like our work. Atm we try to create a few "realistic" missions for around 5-8 players without respawn.. (just like the stuff you find on our server lol)..
Squelch informed us that Dev Heaven.net have released their CBA - Community Base Addons v0.1.0. You can check the online reference here.
Vision
What does the name Community Base Addons mean? It is a system that:
* Aims to have community wide acceptance and to be used as much as possible by community addons to maintain compatibility. * Offers a range of features for addon-makers and mission designers. * The community is very much encouraged to request or submit functionality. * The most obvious example would be to submit functions to be included in the CBA function library. This would make them available to a large audience of developers and save on replicated development.
Key Features
* Extended Eventhandlers: official port of XEH for Arma 2. * Function library: Integrated into the BIS Functions module. * Many other things you never thought you needed but won't be able to live without... * Full documentation is available at DevHeaven. The manual, functions reference and complete sources are included in the release.
Edit July 8 th, 2009 : Sickboy has released a Community Base Addons hotfix : CBA v0.1.1:
Key Changes * FIXED: Significant script slowdowns * FIXED: Default events for BIS classes disable extended events on those classes.
Smiley Nick informed us all on the BI Forums that he released his RAF Chinook for ArmA 2. (Original model by Afrographix from Operation Flashpoint).
RAF Chinook release for Arma2
Origional model = Afrographix Flight model into Arma – Pelton and the Spanish Mod Arma – Arma2 config work - Konyo
All credit goes to the above authors, with permission sought.
Arma2 release includes an updated version of the Arma version that never saw a public release, such new features include walk able ramp, improved sounds, gunner positions and a rework on textures with most of the old bugs being ironed out.
A huge thanks to Konyo for helping with the configs, could not have done it without him.
For some reason there is a UH60 scope error report, if anyone knows the solution to this please say. The helicopter can be found
Under empty "RAF Chinook". Currently we are not sure how to add her to the west side faction. Again if anyone knows how, please feel to say. This will probably be one of the last release of this version of the RAF Chinook, but we will update any config and error reports if people spot any.
A brand new project will be announced very shortly regarding a new Chinook add-on pack to take full advantage of Arma2 and its cargo options. But for now, you can have some fun, use the attach to command and you might be able to squeeze some contents into the hull.
