  TKS Buildings Pack by Takko Screenshots    
Takko has released an updated TKS Buildings Pack on the BI Forums.

Hey guys,
as I said that I was going to update the TKS_Town objects, here is my update, this time with buildings from another country: Somalia.
Now mapmakers have once again, more objects to choose from and options to give their map a truly unique feel next to the others with standard buildings.
Includes the last TKS_Asia pack and now you have the chose from over 30 custom objects and buildings.

  eliassound2OA first update Addon release    
Sgt.Elias has send us the new update of his eliassound2 mod for Operation Arrowhead.

Here is the first update of eliassound2OA.
it brings the chopper back in the soundmod.

AH1Z, AH64's and the UH60's only with new configsound.
new RC sounds. (arab,ru,us)
UH1Y, UH1H and the Ah6's with new soundfiles. (open chopper inside and outside sound nearly the same)

new weapon sound for:
MAAWS, M110, KSVK, GL (like M79,M32)
FNFAL with new sound and correct rate of fire. (no entry in RPT)
SCARS's with new sounds and fix SCAR_CCO_SD shoot with normal sound and reload/dry sounds too loud. fix Mk16 is more powerfull than Mk17 in sounds.(but with entry in RPT)

  Bundeswehr Flecktarn retexture mod (v 1.0) Addon release    
Brainbug has released the Bundeswehr Flecktarn retexture mod on the BI-Forums. It adds KSK troops with helmet and brown vest and some variations in the uniform, also a VIP bodyguard, Pilot, Sniper, Crewman and a bunch of other soldiers based on BIS' default US soldiers. There are also optional replacement configs included.

Initially I only planned a retex of the Deltas, that's why I named the addon "delta_mod", but then later added many more units, but it was a bit late to change it to a more appropriate name, but that's a non-issue anyway. Of course by just applying different textures, the gear can't be realistic Bundeswehr stuff, but maybe you like it nonetheless. The Ghillie suit is thinned out so that you can see the basic flecktarn-camosuit under the grass/leaves from up close, and also has more variation in overall camo than the default walking haybale.

  Ghillies for a change by Brainbug Editing    
Brainbug has released a "Ghillies for a change" texture pack for mission makers on the BI Forums.

Ever been annoyed that the sniper's camo doesn't fit into your mission's environment? Now you can do what every good sniper (and chameleon^^) does: Adapt to the environment as good as possible. Here you can find an assortment of textures (25 so far, until I (or you?) do even more) for the ghillie suit. Since BIS made the ghillie model with the feature of "hidden selections", it is really easy to give it a new look. As most of you probably know, you just need to write

this setObjectTexture [0,"\ghillies_for_a_change1.paa"];

(or 02.paa, 03.paa and so on) into the init field of a sniper unit in the editor (or you do the same in a script). That means you can have (theoretically) as many different snipers in one mission as you want. Works for all ghillies regardless which faction. Just try out which works best for the environment you are about to send your sniper into: Dark green woods, light grass, sandy and rocky deserts, brown leaves and twigs, urban ruins, even blue enamel decorated mosques

  [OA] GLT Desert Su-34 and GLT Missilebox 2.1 by Myke Addon release    


Myke has released a Desert Su-34 for Takistan, Russia and UN addon and an updated GLT Missilebox 2.1 on the BI Forums

This adds 2 Su-34 desert to Takistan Army, 4 Su-34 desert to Russia and one Su-34 to the UN.
Operation Arrowhead required, Combined Operations is recommended.
Requires GLT Missilebox in the latest version.

- [fixed] AGM-154 wasn't included in the Missilebox addon, therefor causing a "missing files" error message.

  [OA] UK Joint Helicopter Command by Geordie Addon release    
Geordie has released a [OA] - UK Joint Helicopter Command addon featuring skins modifications of BIS AH-64 D and CH-47F on the BI Forums.

Due to BI Studios announcing the UK Armed Forces DLC, I have decided to get these out without further delay.
Just a few quick Texture modifications to the BI stock textures to change these helicopters into RAF and AAC models.
No lumps and bumps are present that distinguish the actual helicopters apart from the US versions.

  British Armed Forces To Be Deployed In Takistan Official

Bohemia Interactive is pleased to announce the reinforcement of Operation Arrowhead - British Armed Forces are to provide a surge in support of the ongoing coalition deployment in Takistan!

Less than two months after Operation Arrowhead successfully routed the Takistani military regime, NATO coalition forces face a large-scale outbreak of guerilla insurgency. A mechanized force of British troops are about to deploy and embark upon a large-scale counter-insurgency campaign, which will define the future of the coalition presence in Takistan: Operation "Crimson Lance".



Arma 2: British Armed Forces key features:


* New vehicles and weapons
o Modern British troops in multi-terrain, desert and woodland camouflage
o Personal weapons: L85A2 and L86A2 rifles, L110A1 machine gun, LRR and AW50 sniper rifles, N-LAW AT launcher

  Third release of A&S ProMode and 13 new missions on Zargabad Mission release    

kju has informed us about the release of a third A&S ProMode pack adding a few fixes and 13 new missions.

The third release of A&S ProMode adds few fixes and changes:

* Added: protection for non contested zones.

* Changed: Give units rifle/hand and smoke grenades again at mission start.
* Changed: Make defenders able to change class at mission start via user action.
* Changed: Remove spawn shield.
* Changed: Re-enable guided missiles for air units.
* Changed: Spit X-Ray entries in notes section into east and west one.

* Fixed: Default time/weather/fog of missions is not set.
* Fixed: (Some?) TINY missions have 20 minutes length by default.
* Fixed: Zone capture progress bar is shown for defender even when no enemy is inside.


The optional AI mode can be used for enjoyment while waiting for the server
to fill or as training. See the details in the features section of the wiki.

PIONEER from SARMAT studio has released an updated Dynamic Shouts by Sarmat Studios v0.6 addon on the BI Forums.

- unavailable sounds fixed
- 1 voice added to resistance (thanks to behemoot)
- all sound are now spatial and the loudness of the voice now depends on the distance to the speaker
- death shouts distance is reduced to 50m
- soldiers and crew in a vehicle are not able to generate sounds from the mod

  Advanced Combat Radio Environment - ACRE v1.0 released Addon release    



NouberNou from ACRE Team has released a Advanced Combat Radio Environment - ACRE v1.0 addon on the BI Forums.

We would like to introduce to you the ACRE mod, in production by various members of the A2
community. The ACRE mod links ArmA2 and Teamspeak3 to create a more immersive
environment in which we play in, including positional audio, real radio communications and
complete compatibility with the ACE2 ArmA2 project.

We intend to create the most realistic and immersive radio system within the current gaming
world; based off of real life experience and knowledge, as well as the use of physical terrain
obscuration, radio loss, distortion, and all other considers a real radio operator must make on a
daily basis.

We welcome anyone to supply feedback or join in on this cooperative project.
