  TGW RAH-66 Commanche for CO by Xeno426 Addon release    
Xeno426 has released a TGW RAH-66 Commanche for CO v1.0 addon on the BI Forums.

This mod is an update of modEmMaik's DKMM RAH-66 Comanche to OA standard, along with several other model and config improvements. The original texture has been changed, and a template has been provided, conveniently located in the "template" folder. The overall skin may be changed using hiddenSelectionsTextures.

The main gun has two magazines to choose from, "modem_dkmm_500Rnd_XM301" (500 rnd magazine) and "modem_dkmm_320Rnd_XM301" (320 round magazine). As a note of realism, the planned loadout would have been more commonly 320 rounds.

Changes from the original:
- Fixed the wreck falling into the ground
- Fixed hits on hull displaying as mud impacts
- Fixed lack of proper penetration values for different parts of the aircraft
- Fixed weapon display names
- Added limited translations for several mod objects (weapons, descriptions, etc)
- Removed USAC faction; variants that were once USAC are now part of the BIS US Army faction
- Skins swapped; USMC now has green scheme skin, while US Army has default gunmetal grey skin
- Added flare countermeasures
- Added OA radar and lock warning systems
- Added thermal mapping on the vehicle skin
- Added new fire modes for XM301
- Added thermal imaging and zeroing for the gunner
- Improved rotor blur
- Improved fire geometry
- Improved rvmat settings
- Made use of some of the sound files provided in the original mod
- Reworked inheritencies of many mod objects

  TGW M163 Vulcan for CO by Xeno426 Addon release    
Xeno426 has released a TGW M163 Vulcan v1.0 addon on the BI Forums. Arma 2 CO needed.

This mod is an update of ¤¤Trauma¤¤'s M113_BIS mod, which was unfortunately very buggy. The two M113 models have been removed, leaving only the M163 and Machbet, which have been fixed and updated to OA standard. Both are available to the USMC and US Army. New skins may be added with hiddenSelectionsTextures, and UV map templates have been provided.

They can be found under BLUFOR->US/USMC->Armored. The USMC version defaults to the woods camo, while the US version defaults to desert camo. The M163 Vulcan defaults with two magazines for it's M168 cannon, while the Machbet has only one magazine for the M168, but three magazines for its 4-shot Stinger launcher

hcpookie has released an updated SA9 port from Arma1 v1.1 addon on the BI Forums.

Changelog:
NEW: Deployable camo nets around most vehicles! Driver controlled. Net can only be used when vehicle is stopped! It prevents movement by removing fuel until packed away. Leaving the vehicle when net is deployed can cause the AI to report "low fuel". Fuel is returned when the camo net is stowed. This was the only way to ensure you don't have a "driving net" vehicle.
NEW: Now signed with V2 keys; new "pook_v2.bikey" included.
FIX: Some minor model issues.
FIX: Correct brake light issue.
FIX: Corrected factions! All BIS factions now represented correctly

  CMcD Cannon/Main Gun Tweaks by CameronMcDonald Addon release    
CameronMcDonalds has released a CMcD Cannon/Main Gun Tweaks on the BI Forums.

Essentially, this is a weapon replacement for all vehicles using cannons / main guns, which let the AI use the correct ammo on the correct target. For example, the 40mm CTWS on the Warrior 2 will now use HEIT on infantry, and switch to AP to knock out marauding APCs or piss off tanks.

This is done via a complex muzzle system devised by [ASA]Oden, bless his cotton socks. Oden - cheers for giving people access to your source files.

It also fixes a bug or two, and adds ATGM ability to the Russian T72 and T90.

...there are some bugs/limitations - read the readme.

Consider this a public test version. I'm not seeing any game-breaking arseups, or RPT errors, but I expect a few. This is also MP untested. As it is a replacement, it would definitely cause trouble on machines not using it.

There is a little example mission included, see the readme for details.

  ASR Appendix by Robalo_AS Addon release    
Robalo_AS has released an ASR Appendix v1.0 addon on the BI Forums.

ASR Appendix is a collection of various addons for Arma2:CO meant to enhance the
multiplayer game experience with subtle config tweaks and additional scripted features.
While there are no other addon requirements than the CBA mod, ASR Appendix will also
detect and activate features for other addons, for example, the ACE mod.

TankisT_UA has released an Ukrainian Mechanized Infantry v.2.1 addon on the BI Forums. RH AKs pack needed.

So, what's new ... :
- Totally remade the model of body armor;
- Totally remade the texture of uniforms, equipment & blood;
- Added to adequately cartridge pouches, etc. (quantity of cartridge pouches to be equal to the quantity of cartridges);
- A version with the AK by RH;
- Several new models of infantrymen (engineer, medic, pilots ...);
- New textures of blood

  Takistan Special Brigade for CO by Massi Addon release    

Massi has informed us about Takistan Special Brigade for CO v1.00 addon release on our Forums.

This addon is a retexture of some A2OA units (Czech, Un, and Taki SF models), made to represent a variety of units of the fictional Takistan Special Brigade.
This Brigade has been trained by western SF before the war, and for this reason those units are equipped with western gear and weapons, they've at their disposal NV goggles and other technological gear too.

This Special Brigade ,the elite force of Takistan army, includes:
- 1st Btg Special Forces: those units are the elite army forces, they're mostly equipped with M16, and they wear western gear too.
They comes in several camo (woodland, desert and urban), they're divided in heavy and light (recon) gear,and snipers in ghillie suite too, in order to give them the maximum range of flexibility and make them able to operate in every environment.
- 3rd Btg Commando: those units are a kind of covert operation army branch, they're mostly equipped with AK74,they're the most explosive trained unit in Takistan and they wear western gear too.
They comes in 2 camo (desert DPM, and multi environment DPM ), ,and snipers in ghillie suite too, they're divided in heavy and light (recon) gear, in order to give them the maximum range of flexibility and make them able to operate in every environment, like SF.
- 16th Light Infantry Regiment: those units are the support elements for SF and commando operations, they're equipped with AK74 and they comes in woodland camo, anyway they can operate whether in woodland and desert terrain, and they've their own pilot and crew, too.
- 26th Airborne Regiment: those units are other support elements for SF and commando operations, they're equipped with M16 and they comes in woodland camo, anyway they can operate whether in woodland and desert terrain, like light infantry they have also a light gear and beret version model too.

This addon has been made to enhance the Opfor faction, in order to improve a little bit the Takistan combat capability.

New configs for sensitivity (how well a unit sees) and camouflage (how easily a unit is seen) based on unit type and clothing.
Units are able to passively detect targets farther than before (about 400-600m depending on type and skill instead of about 300m).
Added configs for AI shooting (engagement ranges, fire mode selection and rate of fire).
Integrated my AI grenadier fix mod v1.3 (remove these addons if you have them: asr_cfgweapons_fix_grenadiers, asr_cfgweapons_fix_grenadiers_oa, asr_weaponreplacements).
Increased default accuracy skills a bit (they're tuned for use with latest betas).
Configured the recommended skill and precision defaults (open difficulty settings and hit default for them to be applied).
Disabled smoke when ACE Wounding module is enabled (redundant feature since last ACE update).
Added small delay (5-10 sec) before applying skills so we can set the "asr_ai_sys_aiskill_exclude" variable in advance (see v1.3 changelog notes).
Pilots and crewmen will no longer arm themselves with rocket launchers.
AI soldiers should not engage infantry with HEAT rockets.
Bugfixed: rearming from backpacks working again.
Bugfixed: was unable to re-enable rearming after disabling it during the mission.

  Georgian Armed Forces Mod 1.0 [ACE] Addon release    
SaS TrooP has released a Georgian Armed Forces Mod 1.0 addon on the BI Forums. Needed:
Advanced Combat Environment (ACE, ACEX, ACEX_RU) and Extra units and vehicles (only for some missions!)

GAF Mod, as the name says in fact, as its main objective considers realistic recreation of miltiary forces of Georgia from time period 2008-2010. This is first stable release, mod is still being developed. For now there are regular land forces and vehicles, circa 200-250 units, so you HAVE content to play OPFOR is also included in form of South Ossetian militia, together with 3 coop or SP missions and one training mission, rather for new ACE players the mod is based on.
In further development it is planned to release Georgian Army in Afghanistan and then Georgian Special Forces, however I will probably add Ossetian, too.

1. Regular Army, 2008 (Woodland and MARPAT) Known from very small, previous release I made last year. That file is no longer up to date though.

  Mirrors v0.1 Alpha by blakeace Addon release    
blakeace has released a Blake's Mirrors V0.1 Alpha addon/module on the BI Forums.

The ability to look backwards emulating the side mirrors of a vehicle. Being able to still control the vehicle while viewing backwards. NVG compatible, though you will get the over exposure effect each time you change view.

  MP-AI compatible fast rope addon v0.8 by norrin Addon release    
Norrin has released an updated MP-AI compatible fast rope addon v0.8 script on the BI Forums

Works almost identically to the previous version of the addon, however there's been massive changes under the hood (see below). Just one thing to remember is that the script that you need to call now in the init line of your chopper, waypoint or init.sqf is called: NORRN_fastRope_init.sqf

Fixes/changes in v 0.8
1. Rewrote fast-rope system - fast-roping now uses animations built into the ropes rather than the attachTo method used previously - should hopefully reduce network traffic as the scripts no longer spam the attachTo command.
2. Replaced all setVehicleInits/processInits with publicVariable eventhandlers - should reduce network traffic and data download required when joining a mission in progress.
3. Precompiled functions have replaced some drawn out sequences of code and code repetitions - should speed up the processing of the scripts.
3. Removed all instances of waitUntil to reduce processor over-head.
4. Added geo lods and shadow lods to the rope models and additional rope models for the MH6.
5. Modified fast roping animations so that the units fit on the ropes better (still could do with some tweaking though).
6. Added additional chopper compatability ie. CH47, MH6J and UH60M_EP1 and removed MV22 (Please let me know what other vanilla choppers you want added).
7. Jettisoned ropes should now appear on the roofs of buildings.

  Carrier Ops by blakeace Addon release    
blakeace has release a Blake's Carrier Ops v0.1 alpha addon/module on the BI forums.

Adds the ability to manouver aircraft around, to facilitate the ability to utilise the likes of the LHD more fully.

Any aircraft can be moved, even if inoperable, as long as it isn't destroyed. This allows the clearance of damaged aircraft from vital areas.
It also enables the ability to backup aircraft that are parked on a ramp etc.

As a side benefit it also allows the emulation of ground manouving of helicopters. Yes those with skids will also do this (though would look funny). Also allowing for more realistic ground operations if required.
Some helicopters behave better than others. One way of improving movement on some is to engage auto hover while taxiing forward, disengaging when turning is required. No it is not designed to be a proper simulation of ground movement for any aircraft, rather it is a simplified method of allowing more precise ground handling.
