  [OA]M4A3 with Acog and IR-laser by Max255[PL] and McNools Addon release    
McNools have released a [OA]M4A3 with Acog and IR-laser by Max255[PL] and McNools on the BI Forums.

Max255[PL] and I discovered some unused M4 models hidden within the Weapons_E.pbo, two of them seems to crash the game, but one of them, the ACOG-version worked well thanks to config efforts done by Max255[PL] who got it working properly with both the ACOG-sight and the IR-laser.

I retextured the weapon to better suit the other camo M4's in the game, aswell as the acog sight, (the weapon itself had a much darker brown desert-camo), I also retextured the weapons icon to suit this new texture, and added a ammo-box in the editor (M4A3 Acog box) so that people can try it out quickly and easily.

It hasn't been tested much, so there might be some unknown issues as this point.

  [OA] GLT Missilebox 2.0 by Myke Addon release    
Myke has released an updated GLT Missilebox 2.0 addon on the BI Forums. GLT Missilebox 2.0 requires Operation Arrowhead 1.5 or higher.

This reworked Missilebox adds the following aerial weapons:
AIM-9M, AIM-9X, AIM-120, AIM-7, AIM-54, R-3, R-27, R-73, R-77, R.550
AGM-65, AGM-84, AGM-88, AGM-114, Kh-15, Kh-22, Kh-29L, Kh-29T, Kh-31, Kh-59, AM-39
FAB-250, FAB-500, Mk-81, Mk-82, Mk-84, GBU-12, GBU-53, KAB-250L, KAB-500L, KAB-1500L, AGM-154

The Missilebox is compatible with the GLT F-16 and will immediately show the new models. Hopefully in the near future other addons will make use of the box aswell.
I will add default BIS planes to make use of the Missilebox asap.

Included is a GLT F-16 expansion which adds 3 more weapon variants (for all color schemes so 12 new planes) based on this new Missilebox

  [OA]Tier One Operators V2.1 (now with beards) by McNools Addon release    
McNools has informed us about the released of version 2.1 of his "Tier One Operators" addon (now with beards) on the BI Forums.

These units are meant to be elite forces often working behind enemy lines, blending in with the people and culture of takistan, they are avaible in both combat outfits with some local clothing and state-of-the-art military equipment, aswell as undercover-versions with civilian clothing and more basic and local weaponry.

I left them generic on purpose so that they can represent any number of elite operators, from Delta Force to maybe even the CIA.

I don't think I'll implement anything new into this now, once I start modding I can't really stop (hardly even for sleeping), so I need to calm down a bit now. I'll try to fix bugs/problems though, but I probably won't implement anything new, atleast nothing big.

Installation instructions etc. are in the readme.

NEW IN THIS VERSION (2.1):

- Fixed Medic, didn't work as a medic before

  Addon-checker tool for server admins Addon release    
sbsmac has released few days ago his Addon-checker tool for server admins on the BI-Forums.

I've just created a new tool to help server admins figure out which missions are likely to give their users problems and to help mission makers check which addons they might need to specify.
AddonChecker can tell you if a mission claims to be is 'vanilla' A2 or OA or to require both sets of content (Combined Operations or 'CO'). More importantly it can detect CO missions by analysing the classes used in the mission.sqm and and scripts run by the mission. It can then 'fix up' those missions to prevent players accidentally joining the mission and then encountering a 'missing addon' error message during the game.

Features
* Drag-and drop operation for pbos, mission-folders, or folders containing sets of pbo'd missions.
* Identifies missions requiring A2, OA and Combined-Ops content as well as those which are incorrectly flagged as A2 or OA only.
* Checks scripts for additional classes which may cause 'missing-addon' errors during the mission.
* "Force CO" feature modifies pbos and mission folders in-place so that they explicitly required both A2 and OA content. This prevents users joining the mission and then being kicked off after it starts.
* Click on an addon-name or class-name to view the files referencing that item.

  Car Radio by Clayman - OA Update Addon release    
Clayman informed us about the newest version 2.3 of his Car Radio addon. In this version he added all tracks from the Eagle Wing Campaign and also all brand new tracks from Operation Arrowhead. The download includes a sample mission on Utes.

  ArmA1 Special Forces by Icewindo Addon release    
Icewindo has released an ArmA1 SF addon on the BI Forums.

A port of the ArmA1 Special Forces. I mainly did this as some people requested a updated version of this.

Also maybe the MLOD helps some people in creating new units...

They need ArmA2 as they use the marine wound textures but work in combined operations too and can be found under BLUFOR-> ArmA1 -> Special Forces.

  Isla Duala 1.81 released Addon release    


IceBreakr has released an updated Isla Duala 1.8 on the BI Forums.

  Deadfast's Elapsed Time Counter [A2+OA+CO] Addon release    
Deadfast has released an Elapsed Time Counter addon on the BI-Forums that adds an elapsed time counter to the Players and Tasks dialogs.

Ever wanted to know how much time has passed since the mission you're playing started? Stopwatches are no longer needed, simply open the Players (default key: P) or Tasks (default key: J) dialog and find out. Works with both singleplayer and mutliplayer.

  [OA] M32 in black Addon release    
Lexx has released his M32 weapon addon (in black) for Operation Arrowhead on the BI-Forums.

I pretty much love every grenade launcher, especially the M32, but the one in the game now doesn't really work in woodland or urban-esque locations. This mod now adds a black colored version of the milkor grenade launcher into the game, which is more fitting for everything else that is non desert. It's a 'simple' recolor of the normal M32 grenade launcher, that comes with Operation Arrowhead. This mod will not replace the original grenade launcher, it adds the black one as alternate version.

  STALKERGB's British 3 Rifle MTP (OA) Addon v1.2 Addon release    
STALKERGB has released his STALKERGB's British 3 Rifle MTP (OA) Addon v1.2 on the BI-Forums.

Right then, finally got round to finishing this. Hopefully every new feature in OA functions correctly with these units (such as thermal maps, backpacks etc).
This is completely compatible with ALL OA's new features. So any site that has an OA release section can put these under there. There is a seperate config for people with just ARMA2 included.

-Added Light Rifleman with MTP Assualt Osprey.

  ATV Package Vers. 2.0 by Takko Addon release    
Takko has released an updated ATV Package Vers. 2.0 featuring Gecko ATVs in various camos and types on the BI Forums.

Because of my promises, I decided to release a new version of the Gecko ATV which is a major step up overhaul compared to the older versions.
Its even Operation Arrowhead compatible now.

  Ka-52 - a new set of armament by Skeiz ... updated Addon release    
Skeiz has released a new set of Ka-52 armament addon on the BI Forums.

This modification changes the range of weapons and reconnaissance attack helicopter Ka-52. The purpose of this modification was adjustment of the balance in a network game. In standard configuration helicopter Ka-52 was too powerful, unparalleled helicopter which successfully fought the same way as with air and with ground targets.

Our modification eliminates the imbalance, bringing the characteristics of the weapons to be more realistic. In this case, the modification does not contain complex scripts and does not require any major adjustment.

Complex aircraft armament is divided between the two crew members. The operator - makes target acquisition using a laser marker, the pilot of launching ATGM "Vikhr" by laser designator.




Edit 16-07-2010 : v1.1 release. This release requires Arma 2 and OA.

tpM from H.AR.C.P has informed us about the release of H.AR.C.P. Dynamic Sound System RC1 on the BI Forums.

Hungarian Arma Community Projects [HARCP] Team is pleased to announce you the release of the Dynamic Sound System v1.0.0 RC (Release Candidate) for Arma 2. Sadly, a few things didnt turn out as we planned, but at least we made it...

Without going into technical details, I can say that the system relies on pre-defined echo locations on islands. This means that we have to make the islands "echo map" first, to make it work support on an island. Currently it only supports Utes and Chernarus, but we'll add support for more islands in the future.
You can place echo zones manually in your mission too, but then it will require the Mod to play.

It requires the Arma 2 version of CBA.

Solus has released an updated SLX Mod v1.9997 on the BI Forums.

Changes:

Fixed excessive suppression effects starts when under function lag.
Less Mk19/AGL AI dispersion for less friendly fire.
Fixed rare script errors in AI dodge and GL3 garrison.
Added max instance limits to shot effects, AI dodge, trace effects, and blood drops to avoid script lag in large scale scenarios.
Fixed critical wounding happening from light wounds.

  ShackTac Fireteam HUD (STHUD) by zx64 updated Addon release    
Dslyecxi has informed the community about the release of an updated ShackTac Fireteam HUD (STHUD) by zx64 on the BI Forums.

Once upon a time, we had an idea to make something that would alleviate some of the issues in ArmA with regards to situational awareness. Our ShackTac Fireteam HUD is the solution we came up with, and while it is not completely finalized feature-wise, we think it's more than ready to be used by those who share similar views regarding gameplay's relationship with realism.

Design Intent
The ShackTac Fireteam HUD was designed to do the following:

* Provide situational awareness on where your fireteam members are and what their orientation is. This is intended to represent both peripheral vision, as well as the extended awareness one has in reality. You only see your fireteam members relative to you - no terrain, no other players/units.
* Give you an always-visible way of seeing who your team members are
