Autorun
------------
When you place the Arma: Cold War Assault DVD in your PC’s disk tray and close it, the Autorun application should start.
If it does not, you can find it on your DVD drive’s root folder (Autorun.exe).The Autorun menu gives you
several options, such as viewing the readme file, visiting the Bohemia Interactive Studio website and of
course installing the game.

Setup
--------
To install the game, please follow the instructions provided in the setup process.

You will need to type a valid Arma: Cold War Assault or Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis cd key during the setup.

If the setup detects Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis installed on the system, it will automatically offer to use the existing CD key but you can manually enter a different one.

Installation problems:
-------------------------------
- Uninstall Arma: Cold War Assault completely from the Startmenu.
- Manually erase all datas found in the installation folder of Arma: Cold War Assault
- Install Arma: Cold War Assault from scratch again.

If at any point during a mission you become stuck, or the mission does not progress it is recommended that you restart the mission from the beginning.
If the mission looks too hard for you, restart it as well with lower difficulty or try different approach. Missions can be played differently every time.

If you encounter any sound or graphical issues while running the game, please make sure you have installed the latest versions of your hardware drivers and try to tweak your audio and video options.

===SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS===

ANY ORIGINAL VERSION OF ARMA 1.08 AND ABOVE.

October 2006 DirectX 9 runtime is required (d3dx9_31.dll) and patch installer will update your system with it automatically if you don't have it installed.

OpenAL will be updated during the patch process to version 2.0.7.

===HOW TO INSTALL THE PATCH===

First make sure that you have version 1.08 or newer and run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically (you may be prompted to choose your exact version in some occasions).

It will install all content of the patch to folder with your ArmA installation (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA or C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA).

===ARMA WARFARE===


ArmA Warfare, included as a bonus update in this patch, is a blend of a team-based multiplayer mission and realtime strategy. Two sides (BLUFOR vs. OPFOR) fight for control of the whole map. It is multiplayer map designed for 1 up to 32 players. It also uses other bonus content included in the patch: desert Marines and a modified Southern Sahrani map.

To start ArmA Warfare game, start multiplayer mission as usual. In the Create game screen select "Southern Sahrani" island. The "Warfare v1.0" and "Warfare v1.0 for 32" players missions appear in the list on the right. Select them to play Warfare. Standard Warfare is the 16 player (8 vs 8) mission. Warfare for 32 players (16 vs 16) is recommended for higher performance systems. See briefing screen of the Warfare mission for more instructions.

Full ArmA Warfare Manual is included in pdf file in the patch distribution.

===BATTLEYE===

This patch will automatically offer you to install anti cheating software for online games to your ARMA working folder. If you decide not to install Battleye, your patch still will be working but you may not be able to join game servers that will have installed Battleye software for increased anti cheating protection.

It will install all BattlEye content to a folder "BattlEye" (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\BattlEye or C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\BattleEye). If BattlEye was installed, it will be securing online sessions hosted on your server (requiring all clients to have BattlEye also installed) unless it is disabled in server config using line "battlEye = 0;"

NOTE: BattlEye itself will be run from ARMA's application data folder (default is C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\ArmA\BattlEye) to have write access in order to be able to download/install updates and/or create logs and other BE-related files.


====HOW TO UNINSTALL BATTLEYE====

There's an uninstall application UnInstallBE.exe installed in the BattlEye installation folder that allows you to remove BattlEye from ARMA. You can also remove BattlEye using Add/Remove Programs control panel.

You can run your existing ArmA normally, your version was updated. There is no way to uninstall the patch, in order to get back to previous version you need to uninstall ArmA

===SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS===

ANY ORIGINAL VERSION OF ARMA 1.08 (Note that some of the fixes were included in the 1.08 hotfix already).

Visit [http://www.armedassault.com/dwnl_update.html updates section at armedassault.com] to update your ArmA as necessary.

October 2006 DirectX 9 runtime is required (d3dx9_31.dll) and patch installer will update your system with it automatically if you don't have it installed.

OpenAL will be updated during the patch process to version 2.0.3.

===HOW TO INSTALL THE BETA===
Run the patch exe to apply the patch setup automatically (you may be prompted to choose your exact version in some occasions).

It will install all beta content to a mod folder "Beta" and shortcut "Launch Arma Beta Patch" to your ArmA directory (default is C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA or C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA).

It is recommended to uninstall older beta patches before installing this new beta patch.

===HOW TO UNINSTALL THE BETA===

There's an uninstall application exe Uninstall_ARMAPatch_109beta.exe included in the patch archive that allows you to remove the beta folder and associated shortcut from you game directory.

===HOW TO RUN THE BETA===

You can still run your existing ArmA normally by using the existing shortcuts and as far as we know, the beta shouldn't interfere with your game, so even after you installed the beta you should be able to install this beta patch normally.

To run the beta version, you need to start "Launch Arma Beta Patch" in your ArmA game directory.

If you need to run ArmA another way, and you still want to run the beta, make sure to start the ArmA.exe from the beta subfolder with working directory set to the normal ArmA directory and also with command line option -mod=beta

I'm pleased to release my unofficial patch for ArmA 1.14. As you can see in the changelog below, I've mainly focused on fixing bugs in P3D files.
I'm not planning to release any newer versions of this patch, unless there are some serious bugs to fix.

AIR VEHICLES:
- fixed minor bugs in all Littlebird and Blackhawk models
- reworked interior in UH60.p3d and UH60MG.p3d
- added missing pilot and copilot seats (in ViewCargo) in all Littlebird models

LAND VEHICLES:
- all cars now display taillights correctly (zadni_svetlo.pac converted to PAA format)
- fixed minor bugs (missing faces, faces order, etc) in a few models
- redefined 'damagehlaven' selection in HMMWVmk19.p3d
- fixed headlights position in all Truck5t models (LOD 3.000)
- redefined 'volant' selection in all Skoda models
- added missing texture in m1030.p3d

- MP5A5 now uses pistol muzzle flash
- added missing rvmat in M4_GL_Acog.p3d
- fixed some problems with rocket launchers
- added trigger and feedtray cover animations (experimental, doesn't work for all weapons yet)
- disable/enable tracers option now works for M240 and PK (including those installed in vehicles)
- all ammo boxes now use proper P3Ds

ADDITIONAL FIXES:
- added config for unused M24 (Desert camo) model (classname: M24_CAMO)
- Police UAZ, M113 Ambulance (RACS) and M24 (Desert) display names are now translated into all languages
- USMC units and RACS T72 display names are now translated into all languages
