External Part Time Terrain Modellers
Bohemia Interactive intends to employ a number of part-time developers to assist with ArmA and VBS projects.   Dynamic viewdistance XEH released Addon release
[GLT] Myke has released a very usefull addon on the BIS Forums. The addon adjusts the viewdistance related to your position above-sea level.

The dynamic viewdistance basically extends the viewdistance known in the video options with a min viewdistance and maxviewdistance.
It is related with players height above sea level.
So if you climb up a mountain or you fly in a plane or chopper, you'll get higher viewdistance as higher you go.

Mi-24 Hind-D by EricM and RKSL Studios WIP Screenshots
RockofSL from RKSL Studios has released WIP screen shots of the upcoming MI-24 Hind-D Addon by EricM and RKSL Studios on the BI Forums.

Everything is ingame and working. All that needs doing now is the different versions and configs/skins set up.
There will be a BETA release in Binarised Format to enable us to gauge relative performance. Fix any problems and react to feedback. After that the proper release will follow with the MLODs and some conversion templates and Paint kits etc. IE all the stuff that allows you make your own skinned versions etc.

6th Progress Report from HWM Screenshots
Sparky from the Hellenic Warfare Mod has informed us of the release of their 6th Progress Report on their web site.

Hey guys,

The HWM is back with another update as to what we are up to.

The new and improved weapons pack is almost finished.
We reworked the models and textures of the H&K G3A3-A4 and A4 Marksman series to produce a better visual result and enhanced gameplay.
The new weapon package will also include the FN-FAL Standard, Para and Marksman series, the Standard Infantry M60, Special Forces M60E and the M60D Heavy Machine Gun series, the M72 Light Anti-tank Weapon and the H&K HK21 Squad Automatic Weapon. All models and textures have been made from scratch.

The M60D model is designed to be implemented in our United States Army UH-1H Huey Transport Helicopter series, which is also work in progress. At this point we are trying to overcome some minor polygon limitations so as to depict the weapon in the best possible way.

  Addon Synchroniser update Multiplayer
Yoma has released an update of his Addon Synchroniser tool on the BI Forums. For more information head over to Yoma's Website.

Fixed a rather annoying bug where "changed" files would get downloaded over and over again if one used 7z compression.
(it didn't actually overwrite the file)
-Fixed 7z support in the "non-clickonce" installer.
Update Now!
