  Twenty-first release of A&S ProMode (2011-12-17) Mission release    

kju has informed us about Twenty-first A&S ProMode (2011-12-17) release.

This small update just adds a couple of random mode mission for new community made worlds.
This may be very well the last release of A&S ProMode. So thanks for your interest!

  T-For : Takistan Force Coop 20 v1.07 by Bon Mission release    

Bon has released an updated Takistan Force Coop 20 v1.07 mission on the BI Forums.

- FIXED: rearming vehicles at FOB is not possible anymore
- FIXED: Deconstructing commander assets using construction interface does not refund corresponding funds
- FIXED: rearming vehicles at service points sometimes added too many magazines to vehicle turrets
- ADDED: after 15min mission time JIPs have the possibility to start right from the FOB/MASH
- ADDED: Mission parameter to individually disable or double amount enemy cars (besides infantry and armor)
- ADDED: air patrols now also support planes (by adding plane types to tfor_east_air, resp. tfor_west_air list)
- ADDED: information overlay showing the crew of the player's current vehicle
- ADDED: player tags (player names appearing on the screen when looking at them)
- ADDED: parameter to enable civilian traffic (has effects only on islands that support the Civilian Module)
- ADDED: 2 new mission tasks: "clear minefield" and "mark AA installations with laser designator"
- CHANGED: removed ALL vehicles and unnecessary objects from base, in order to reduce network load
- ADDED: vehicles can now be constructed using the construction interface
- ADDED: mission parameter to unlock special vehicles like tanks, gunships by destroying enemy assets
- ADDED: (variable to define) default cargo content for all constructed vehicles of type "car"
- CHANGED: increased randomness of picking a route through locations
- ADDED: cabin lights in transport aircrafts
- FIXED: at night, the camera in the outro does not switch to night vision
- CHANGED: long range weapons restricted to snipers now
- CHANGED: pilots cannot carry any launchers anymore
- FIXED: IEDs sometimes spawn beneath ground level and hence cannot be seen nor defused
- CHANGED: decreased factor of enemy occurrence according to number players (was ok for less players, too much for many players)
- ADDED: with some chance friendly AI units reinforce the player's team from time to time
- CHANGED: the number IEDs is now computed automatically depending on size of map and number of road segments
- CHANGED: commander does not need to build artillery cannons anymore in order to access the artillery request system
- FIXED: sometimes the enemy Heli Park spawned way outside the map, especially on smaller maps
- CHANGED: improved the search for appropriate places for enemy reinforcements to spawn

nettrucker has informed us about his Hammer of Thor v1.1 campaign release.

Story:
Takistan 2012
General Hassan Jafar staged a successful coup d'etat. He removed the corrupt politicians controlled by the USA from their power by force. Zargabad is under Martial Law. He managed to unite the leaders In a secret meeting and forced them to cooperate to end the occupation by the US forces. The whole country is in turmoil. Militia forces are reinforcing the Takistani Army in the fight against the foreign opression. General Jafar supplied every man willing to fight the infedel with a weapon.

You are Vincent Vega, PVT 1st class - 25th mechanized Infantry Division.
your unit has been send in to remove the general from his powers and restore order in Zargabad. you will be part of operation "Hammer of Thor".

  Folk Mission Pack #08 Mission release    

Fer has informed us about Folk Mission Pack #08 release.

To celebrate over a year of the Folk sessions, we're releasing more packs containing missions developed specially for Folk (64+ in the first year). If you and your community enjoy coop and adversarial missions crafted with care using the F2 mission development framework, and that require only vanilla Armed Assault: Combined Operations, these might be for you.

In this mission pack:

LICHTERFELDE
Sneak or fight your way to the docks at Chernagorsk to locate and commandeer (and eventually fly away in) a captured Czechoslovak helicopter. At night. With no maps, no NVGs, and loud weapons. In a city filled with angry farmers. This mission features a revive script, but will not end automatically if all players are incapacitated simultaneously (sorry).

FLICKER
Night-time defence of a wooded hilltop. This mission features flashlights, faulty wiring, angry farmers, and a revive script, but will not end automatically if all players are incapacitated simultaneously (sorry).

RECOVERY
An armed group has stolen an advanced tractor engine and escaped into the Caucasus. A small platoon of reasonably well-equipped Takistani Army infantry mounts a search and recovery operation at dusk.

THE TAKE DOWN
Special forces are dispatched to Zargabad on Littlebirds to prevent a insurgent operative and his bodyguard from reaching the Mosque in the middle of town. Insurgents must distract the SF troops and get their cherised leader into the mosque.

WARLORDS INC (Coop and adversarial versions)
BLUFOR has learned of a high powered meet between several Warlords. They must attack the town where the meet is happening and neutralise the high value targets. Insurgents must protect their leaders and lead them in escape to one of the 3 retreat zones.

MAIL MAN
An allied C-130 has crashed and the nearby SF team is scrambled to secure valuable data from the plane before insurgents get there before them.

  Arma 2 DeathMatch System released ... and updated Mission release    

Murcielago has submitted his Arma 2 DeathMatch System to Armed Assault.info

Max. Player: 18
AddOns: N/A
Required: Arma 2 + Operation ArrowHead
Missions features:
1) Players will respawn in safe locations away from action and enemies.
2) Players have respawn protection.
3) Complex scenarios that look real.
4) Weapons can be restricted to a specific group of guns or a particular weapon.
5) Smart code that will allow to customize the match conditions.
6) It runs with high FPS on dedicated and non-dedicated servers thanks to an small and smart solid code.
7) Anti-Camper feature can be enabled or disabled.
8) At the end of the match best player character will be shown.
9) MIX version has 18 different characters this makes the mission more interesting as you can link a player with his avatar.

  Folk Mission Pack #07 released Mission release    

Fer has informed us about Folk Mission Pack #07 release.

To celebrate over a year of the Folk sessions, we're releasing more packs containing missions developed specially for Folk (64+ in the first year). If you and your community enjoy coop and adversarial missions crafted with care using the F2 mission development framework, and that require only vanilla Armed Assault: Combined Operations, these might be for you.

In this mission pack:

IVORY HUNT
A team of insurgents attack a small motorised patrol in order to lure an M1A2 Tusk out of its base. The insurgents must then destroy the tank. You have a deployable AT-13 and DShK MG to help you!

RESCUE
The Black Turbans have captured a western press team. Their objective is to escort the captives to the army HQ for processing. A KSK team has been assigned to rescue them. The press team can try to escape on their own should they wish. Players take the roles of KSK, Black Turbans and the press team.

UNDERCOVER
The militia have the bombs, but can't pass un-noticed amongst the locals. The undercover operatives blend in, but have no bombs. These two groups must co-operate to bomb the city's main mosque. BLUFOR has to find and stop them (without killing too many innocent civilians).

BOMBS AWAY
A US infantry squad must locate a crashed helicopter in Zargabad. The city is held by unfriendly rebels, so the TK government is going to bomb it shortly - time is of the essence for the US forces.

AIRFIX
A Russian infantry squad is inserted via helicopter near the airport in southern Takistan. They must destroy the TK military planes that are parked there.

VILLAGE CLEARANCE
A very simple mission where a CZ infantry squad must clear a village of insurgents.

  SP Mission : Escape from Hell by vandevoorde.pa Mission release    

vandevoorde.pa has informed us about Hidden and Dangerous "Escape from hell" SP mission for Invasion 44 Mod release.

Your squad of four men just destroy the subterranean base.
And you get out of the mountain in front of a German complex
To leave a German camp in the middle of Germany, your only chance to run away quickly, is to seize a vehicle in the parking lot of the complex ...
Move in the complex is very risky ,there are many mirador's with MG42,and the german patrols in the complex are on the warpath ...
The mission is very simple soldiers ,out of this hell as soon as possible...destroy everything, kill everyone,...Take the SdKfz on the parking... save your skin.

  Hidden and Dangerous (Night) by vandevoorde.pa [I44] Mission release    

vandevoorde.pa has informed us about Hidden and Dangerous SP/TvT night mission for Invasion 44 Mod.

1941, World War II, a squad of 4-10 men were parachuted into enemy territory to complete various missions to weaken the enemy.
I redid the mission with the fuel depot.On the English side you need, you infiltrated.And destroy the fuel tanks. Leave the depot before the arrival of reinforcements.
It is a (SPmission) which may also play (PVP mission).
You just need :Invasion 44 And arma2 Arrowhead or Combined.
The mission has been tested with Invasion44 2.51 and Arma2 Arrowhead / Combined with no problems.


Edit : final version released

Final update...More waypoint,objectifs,german soldiers is Aware, Ammo and other...Good Game.
Mission Hidden and Dangerous 20 may 1941 (Night assault).Ready in final version...full play with Invasion 44 mod.

  The Survivors II Mission release    
maxjoiner has informed us about The Survivors II SP/CO8 mission release.

A Survival Horror SP/CO-08 Mission for Combined Op. 1.59 without addons

Description:
The spread of the infection has forced the few remaining human beings to travel constantly.
The search for food and fuel are the only remaining priority. Now the towns are full of zombies hungry for flesh.
The only ones areas the safest are Those uninhabited.
But gasoline is not eternal.....

Gameplay:
You must find 10 fuel cans To supply Your convoy.
when you will reach 100%, You must leave imediatly
the abandoned Oil Well and come back to convoy.
All the companions must be taken in save to complete the mission.

In this mission pack:

SHILKAS OF NUR

A mechanised BLUFOR group must find and destroy 3 Shilkas in northern Takistan, after that they have the option to attack an OPFOR held village.

ZARGABADDIES

A TK army squad and BMP2 must clear an area in the countryside to the south of Zargabad, destroying vehicles that the rebels stole from the army. Watch out for the platoon of angry T-34s!

CZECH MATE
A squad of Czech paratroopers insert behind enemy lines to kill an enemy officer. Then they must assault a fortified line (from behind) to get back to friendly territory.

JUST DESERTS
A motorised group of Czech Special Forces assault a base in the middle of the desert and destroy a bunker. A British AA team is nearby to assist in the assault and to engage any enemy air from Zargabad.

DONKEY SANCTUARY
A less than serious mission where a pilot must land in an oilfield to rescue some western oil workers who are under attack from the locals (who are staging an uprising). Features unconventional landings and oil workers with guns.

STARY SOBER
A USMC Force Recon fireteam locates an enemy Tunguska and helps a AH11 Wildcat destroy it, then they join a British infantry section and assault Stary Sobor with the helicopter providing support.

RURAL URAL (2 versions)
A Russian infantry squad destroys 4 rebel ZU-23 Urals. You have Vodniks which are cool and big and fast. LE version has fewer objectives.

  Twentieth release of A&S ProMode (2011-09-18) Mission release    

Kju has informed us about the Twentieth release of A&S ProMode (2011-09-18).

After a long, unplanned, summer break this release supplies you with
several additional modsets - much thanks to Jedra. In addition you find
the random mode version for all recently released community worlds.


Note: The files with the _AI_ tag have the AI mode active by default.

You can see the planned additions for the next release in the roadmap.

In this mission pack:

DARING RAID
A small group of guerrillas start with terrible weapons and barely any ammo (although they have an exciting range of cars and bikes!), they must take better weapons from an enemy base, then move on to tackle some enemy armour in a nearby village.

CARTE BLANCHE

A group of farmers look for their weapon caches and then try to destroy as much of Takistani Army as they can. There are multiple bases to attack as objectives but no overall goal beyond causing as much havoc as possible.

STRIFE VALLEY (2 versions)
Enemy forces have set up a radar facility and artillery battery in a wide valley. Destroy these targets and kill an enemy officer as well! Enemy forces include 2 armoured targets, several motorised forces and around 2 platoons of enemy infantry. The player side has access to 2 offroads with MGs and one with a recoilless rifle. LE version removes armoured enemies, reduces enemy motorised and infantry numbers but has fewer slots and removes the recoilless rifle offroad.

HUNT FOR AZIM
A squad of Takistani soldiers have 20 minutes to search for (and capture) a player controlled fugitive - Azim. Azim is hiding in an area controlled by AI insurgents who are friendly to him but will engage the Takistani soldiers on sight.

AMBUSH AT TOPOLKA
Spetznaz forces must quickly lay an ambush for a convoy of armour and troops. After destroying the convoy, prepare for a counter-attack.

RIVER ASSAULT
Mechanised forces must cross a river (or drive across a defended dam) and destroy some enemy hardware. There is a deployable mortar that is fun to use.

  Coop Mission 2-10 Operation Axis Mission release    

Cloughy has informed us about Coop Mission 2-10 Operation Axis release.

2 SBS Teams on the hunt for a BM-21 site in the hills.

It needs 2 human player as group leader, and as many as you can get as the team.
You may get away with 1 human. Mission wont break. No chance to test in SP.
See readme for known probs, and issues.

I am releasing this as v1.00 (it wont get re-released next week with school boy error fixes in it, ie 'Update:player didnt have any weapons', as you see every day when ppl release un-tested missions), but i would say that if you find any probs or bugs let me know. It has been in beta test for a long time.
But on the final beta test everything worked fine.

  TownClash mission Pack by [ASA] Oden Mission release    

[ASA] Oden has released a TownClash mission Pack for Mondkalb's Cindercity on the BI Forums.

...I had to make a Cindercity dedicated TownClash set of missions

TownClash
(BAF, CDF, USMC, Cheadaki, Russian Guards and Hexagon versions. )

Short description:
Town Clash is a small Squad sized mission with no respawn.
Squad Leader player may direct teams using BIS 'HighCommand'.
All AI groups are automated so player may freely select any slot in the squad and just follow orders.

Put in Missions for singleplayer or in MPMissions for Coop.

  COOP 08 The Hunt For Colonel Aziz [OA+BAF+PMC] Mission release    

IceBone has submited his new "The Hunt For Colonel Aziz" Coop mission on Armed Assault.info.

Here is a new ArmA2 OA+Reinf mission ready for playing.
I called it: The Hunt For Colonel Aziz
Location: North of Takistan

It is a challenging mission with a high replay value due to the implementation of randomness and several features, which let the ai react on player actions in a dynamic way.

This video is a teaser and also describes the scope of the mission.
