  PLA Forces by Massi Addon release    

Massi has informed us about PLA Forces v1.1 updated addon release on our forums

I’m releasing an updated version of PLA forces which update armor and headgear with new armor system. It adds also new backpacks and uniform.

  Isla Duala 3.3 by IceBreakr Addon release    

IceBreakr has released the long awaited updated Arma3 Isla Duala v3.3 island.

Duala just got updated to 3.3. Yaay!


* added vast new region: Taris Island on North
* over 332,000 placed objects
* various improvements (satellite texture, coastline)
* 90s Afrenian rifleman is now armed
* added intro with towns (load island in Editor then return to main menu)
* added Kamaz open & covered trucks for both factions
* added Leopard 2A4 Evolution to Afrenian Army (Molatia has to rely on Russian RHS tanks for now, heh)
* primary weapons made compatible with new bipod function (no more sinking in the ground)

  NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz weapons by Massi Addon release    

Massi has informed us about NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz weapons v1.2 updated pack release on our Forums.

I’ve updated my weapon pack in the few spare time I’ve got.

First of all I’d like to thanks BI for releasing their great A2/OA MLODs wich made possible to include in this update new weapons such as A-A launchers, A-T launchers, Bizon, FN FAL, shotguns, and also Vilas again for a compete new family of Ak74M and Ak74M GL with rails for Special Forces.

I tried to fix few issues reported by users, work is still slowly proceeding, the addon is still under development and I’ll work in spare time to complete the pack (for now future plans include adding SCAR family rifles in near future to equip my US Rangers).

  L85A2 by Kiory Addon release    
Kiory has released a L85A2 addon on the BI Forums.

So this is it, I have come full circle, my first rifle release was the SA80RIS and it was AWFUL, which is why I was forced to remake it, vanilla style.

This rifle comes in two flavours, one with the normal rail for the iron sights and Susat scope, and one with a picatinny conversion for use with most of the scopes in Arma 3, not all of them, some of them just don't look right.

There really isn't much to say about it, textures could use some work, but for now it's at least presentable and ready to play with. It's missing some lods, shadow and actual level of distance, I'll sort all that in the coming days, I've also included a bikey etc for server play.

For those that may get confused, I know I did at some point, the picatinny version will not be able to equip the susat scope I made (which I must work on to finish at some point), but the vanilla version will, but not the other scopes etc

  Canadian Armed Forces Mod released Addon release    

Ohally has released version 0.26 of his Canadian Armed Forces mod for ArmA III on the BIS Forums.

CAF Features:

  MH-9 Door Control AddOn Addon release    

Feint has released his MH-9 Door Control AddOn for ArmA III on the BIS Forums.

This is a pair of scripts which will enable the following:
-Adds doors to MH-9
-Adds ability to open and close doors individually
-Demonstrate how to use a single script for 8 separate actions

This is purely an example set of scripts to help teach people some basic scripting on animations and to add some functionality to the built in MH-9 that didn't exist in Arma 3 Alpha. I hope someone finds it useful. I've added annotations to the scripts where I thought it would be most useful in order to show what is going on. I know over the years that I've looked at other people's scripting to figure out how to do things. So this is just me giving back to the community as much as possible. I hope you enjoy it.
Example mission included.

  SA80/L85 by Kiory Addon release    
Kiory has releasd a SA80/L85 addon as well as the sources for this addon on the BI Forums.

Kiory again with another release, this time it's the SA80/L85 with the RIS attachment, it has custom sounds, which aren't totally accurate, but the material I had to work with was utter trash, so you'll have to forgive me for that.

You can get a brief rundown on the video here, but as always, you'll just have to play around with it yourselves to see what's up.

You can download the Pbo and the source files here, so you can dissect it as much as you see fit! Just don't judge my scripting skills, I'm a complete noob.

I also forgot to credit Toadball in the video for his awesome m16A4 example, showed me some heavenly insight

  Russian GRU and OMON Spetnaz for Arma3 Alpha Addon release    

Massi has informed us about his Russian GRU and OMON Spetnaz for Arma3 Alpha addon on our Forums.

This addon is A3 soldier retexture meant to represent Russian Spetsnaz GRU and OMON units as OPFOR in A3Alpha.
It contains 4 set units in different camouflage that cover pretty much all the environments: urban, surpat, flora and digital camo.

The units have their own uniform items , plus gear in flora pattern and headset with black, flora, surpat and digital helmets.
Units have caps and woolhats items to make them interchangeable, they also come with 2 weapon boxes with all weapons, gear and uniform in use, and divers have their backpack with uniform, gear and woolhats inside, to make them change once ashore.

This is an Alpha version, and there will probably be no updates for this stage , hope you’ll enjoy it !

  Dynamic Zombie Sandbox for A3 Addon release    

Craig_VG has released the Dynamic Zombie Sandbox for ArmA III on their offical website

Hello. After over a year of development over multiple platforms, DZS is ready to be released for ArmA 3. This new engine brings plenty of new features to spice up the zombie experience. First and foremost is rag doll. Now mundane things like hitting zombies with your vehicle become far more satisfying. Physics also brings the potential for excellent new gameplay possibilites.
DZS has mostly remained the same for this version, but some features may not work since this is a whole new iteration of the game. The ArmA 3 version of DZS was taken directly from the latest beta of ArmA 2 CO DZS.

Obviously this is an alpha version of the game, but this is also an alpha version of the mission. Version .01. Expect tons of bugs. This is a stripped down version of DZS, more to come. But this is the best I could do in one day.

Some things that do not work:
Vehicles do not spawn
No weapons found on map

DZS v. 0.2 for A3:

-Included plentiful ammobox spawns near where the player starts. NOTE: You may have to search for them!
-Made steps to counteract the “Swimming on respawn” issues.
-Zombies no longer stop spawning permanently, they will begin again over time.
-Did a lot of testing regarding vehicles

Vehicles are still out as of now. After you load in after the mission spawns vehicles, there is massive lag for a long time. Disabling simulation helps a little, but isn’t a final solution. I’m currently writing a more efficient method of vehicle spawning, which will be released tomorrow (March 9)
