  TakeOn Helicopters - Beta + release date! General    


Bohemia Interactive announced the release date of TakeOn Helicopters. It'll be avilable at October 27th!

At the same time, they announced the ToH-Beta. This one can be downloaded from October 4th for all who has pre-ordered ToH:

The Take On Helicopters Pre-Order Beta rewards those who’ve pre-ordered the game with a generous batch of early-access content, playable above a huge section of the Seattle terrain!

  Warfare Camera (High Command Camera) by mrcash2009 Addon release    
mrcash2009 has released a Warfare Cam v0.6 addon on the BI Forums.

After using the camera in Mondkalb Window Of Opportunity I realised it was a nice smooth basic camera that could be used for High Command
to overview the battle field, or any situation where you wanted a nice smooth RTS style camera to watch battles (I mainly play SP).
There are some nice camera scripts but I found this one to be a good instant camera with smooth movement for overviewing.
"Warfare Cam" was the name not because of warfare missions but that its a camera to watch warfare happen ...

V0.6

1. Camera Map is now small minimap thats less intrusive to still view battles from camera while moving around.
NOTE: tested on 1440x900 16:10 & Interface Size "Small" (it may differ with larger and lower res).

If this is not right then let me know I can center it again.

2. Camera Map scale zoom is a little less when opened & contour info removed.
3. Map toggle key is now TAB (less reaching for the M key)
4. Reset camera view is now LEFT SHIFT key (less reaching for the backspace key)
5. Camera Icon change (cosmetic)
6. Removal of allot of unnecessary code from older Mondkalb's version thats not camera related & more tidying up, and no doubt more later.

  US Army Rangers for CO v 1.03 by Massi Addon release    
Massi has informed us about the release of an updated US Army Rangers for CO v 1.03 addon on the BI Forums.

This addon is a retexture of Arma2 OA Delta Force, meant to represent US Army Rangers from the 75th Regiment in different camouflages, as following : :

- Ranger(ACU): Rangers in ACU uniforms, some of them wearing PCU jackets.
- Ranger(PCU): wearing PCu uniform.
- Ranger(Multicam): for every environment.
- Ranger(Desert): desert and arid environment.
- Ranger(Woodland): for temperate and woodland environment.

  Coop Mission 2-10 Operation Axis Mission release    

Cloughy has informed us about Coop Mission 2-10 Operation Axis release.

2 SBS Teams on the hunt for a BM-21 site in the hills.

It needs 2 human player as group leader, and as many as you can get as the team.
You may get away with 1 human. Mission wont break. No chance to test in SP.
See readme for known probs, and issues.

I am releasing this as v1.00 (it wont get re-released next week with school boy error fixes in it, ie 'Update:player didnt have any weapons', as you see every day when ppl release un-tested missions), but i would say that if you find any probs or bugs let me know. It has been in beta test for a long time.
But on the final beta test everything worked fine.

  TownClash mission Pack by [ASA] Oden Mission release    

[ASA] Oden has released a TownClash mission Pack for Mondkalb's Cindercity on the BI Forums.

...I had to make a Cindercity dedicated TownClash set of missions

TownClash
(BAF, CDF, USMC, Cheadaki, Russian Guards and Hexagon versions. )

Short description:
Town Clash is a small Squad sized mission with no respawn.
Squad Leader player may direct teams using BIS 'HighCommand'.
All AI groups are automated so player may freely select any slot in the squad and just follow orders.

Put in Missions for singleplayer or in MPMissions for Coop.

  Vehicle pack for Italian Special Operation unit by Massi Addon release    
Massi has released a Vehicle pack for Italian Special Operation unit v1.0 on the BI Forums. Arma 2 : CO needed.

The pack include a variety of vehicles able to transport and support the SOF units, whether they’re on land, water or in air, so once installed you’ll find the vehicles in the editor inside Italian Special Operation faction, divided as following:

- Land vehicles: Land Rovers with MG (Green, Desert and Camo versions), normal LandRovers (Green, Desert and Camo versions), M1030, ATV, SUV, Pickups, you’ll also find a UN version of land rover and pickup .
- Helicopters: AB205, AB412 (green, camo), CH47F.
- Airplanes: AV8B (2 versions), F35 and C130J.
- Water vehicles: RIHB and Zodiacs.
- Support vehicles: AB 412 medevac (green, camo), and logistic Land Rovers (able to refuel, rearm and repair other vehicles).
- Static vehicles: M119 , 81mm mortars, M2, M2 tripod, MK19, AA stinger, AT Tow.

  F-22A Raptor v0.6.0 Beta by nes4day Addon release

This is a port of Scar's F-22 for ArmA 1. Which I have made some modification to in order to make the plane more usable

  ArmA Electrical Grids Script Pack and Addon by Loyalguard Addon release    
Loyalguard has released an ArmA Electrical Grids (AEG) Script Pack and Addon v 090 (Beta) on the BI Forums. CBA is needed for Addon version.

The ArmA Electrical Grids (AEG) project simulates electrical power grids throughout various islands in the ArmAverse. The simulation features power plants with smokestacks that emit smoke when generating electricity, substations or poles with transformer that emit a humming noise when energized and, street lights are turned off when power is cutoff.


FEATURES
-Support for Chernarus, Utes, Takistan, and Zargabad.
-Power plants with working smokestacks and power plant noises (currently only on Chernarus).
-Electrical substations that emit a transformer humming noise when energized (currently only on Chernarus).
-Area/City/Town/Neighborhood pole mounted transformers that emit a transformer humming noise when energized (Currently only on Takistan, Zargabad, and Utes).
-Ability to interrupt power by destroying components or, if enabled by mission makers, by manually tripping circuit breakers via the action menu (if tripped, breakers can again be closed to restore power). Manually switching circuit breakers can cause arc flash explosions if enabled by the mission maker.
-Mission makers can enable players to remotely logon to grid control software and substation video feeds via custom dialog (Currently only on Chernarus).
-Grid redundancy - if certain components go offline, power automatically switches to secondary circuits when available (Currently only on Chernarus).
-Built-in task/objective support via global/public variables (with examples).
-Fully SP, MP, Team Switch, JIP, and persistent mission compatible. Each mode is optimized for minimal performance impact. JIP is self-contained and does not require onPlayerConnected code.
-Backward compatibile with CEG (Chernarus Electrical Grid) for functionality purposes on Chernarus and conflict avoidance.
-Extensive documenation for mission makers and players. Easy implementation into any mission.
-Fully featured demo missions for each supported island (separate addon and script versions).
-Available in script only (no addons required) and addon versions. Addon version automatically adds AEG to any mission on supported islands. Addon signed with v2 signature and includes server key.

Mondkalb has released his long awaited MBG Cindercity terrain on the BI Forums. Arma 2 : CO and MGB Killhouses needed.

This AddOn adds a new island full of custom-made walkable structures

- 4px per 1m² Satmap resolution
- 4m terrain cell size
- 2km² size
- 8 digit grid
- STHUD ready
- Lifesize Copehill Down FIBUA village with authentic structures mixed with BIS structures
- All buildings are enterable
