  AMS Camscripting Tutorial released Editing
Our colleque Imutep from the Assault Mission Studio has released an english version of his Camscripting Tutorial on our forums.

I'm proud to present you one of my ArmA-editing tutorials, the AMS Camscripting Tutorial V0.9 in english and german language. Me and Tom, who helps me to translate it to english, hopes, that with this tutorial the beginners have a realy illustrated and good understanding help to make intros, outros or any cutscenes for her missions.

In this tutorial our focus is on the possibilites of Armed Assault itself, without going into greater detail of the endless scripting features, which can be written outside of Armed Assault. You can write a complete book, if one tries to cover all the scripting possibilies. All examples are explained in detail and with a lot of example illustraitons, to make sure this tutorial will serve as an usefull reference for beginners.
I will also cover some examples, how to attach the camera on a driving vehicle or aircraft, to realize a tracking shot. I will also cover the possibilty of text fade-ins, as well as the embedding of songs in a sequenz.

An example-script and mission to the sequence and both versions (german/english) are also in the downloadarchive.

Yoma Arma Log Parser released Editing
Yoma well known for his Addon Synchroniser has released another useful gadget for Armed Assault on his website. This time he made a small tool (Yoma Arma Log Parser) that allows you to filter your Arma.rpt (ArmA Error log file).

I made another small tool that could be interesting for server admins/ people who have a lot of problems.

All it basicly does is open your Arma.rpt and show the lines in there grouped. (If you have 100 times the same message, it will show you this message only once, but you can see via the count column that it's there 100 times)

Fuel and weapons re-supplies, as well as reinforcement vehicles, can be dropped off from an airplane at a particular waypoint or trigger area.

Note : this script is not hosted on our site at author's request.

Scripted Objective System (SOS) Beta updated Editing
TacRod has updated his Scripted Objective System (SOS) Beta and released it on the BI Forums. Now includes the option to use Rommel's suppression script.

SOS is a set of scripts for mission makers.

Using SOS, adding various objectives to a mission is largely "plug and play", with little to no scripting required. SOS can be used to quickly and easily add complexity and variety to editor missions. It can also be used to make more elaborate missions.

One aim of SOS is to make it easy to quickly build platoon or larger scale missions with rudimentary enemy AI. Using SOS, it should be possible to quickly make large-scale missions that are fairly unpredictable.

SOS uses CoC's CEX for unit control, Chops' Y.A.A.A for artillery, Mandoble's Air Support Console, Kronzky's Urban Patrol Script and Rommel's suppression script (optional).

Though I have tried to make the code MP friendly, SOS has not been tested in MP and is primarily intended for SP.

RtmToolbox V2.2.1 beta, an animation tool by Fab Editing
Fab has released a RtmToolbox V2.2.1 beta, an animation tool for OFP/ArmA on the BI Forums.

Basically I made a tool designed to be used in parallel with OFP anim, to make animations for OFP/ArmA.
Hopefully this will be of some help for anyone working on rtm animations.
Note that this is a beta version, which is why some of the functionalities are innaccessible as these are still under development.

  ARMAMDB Scriptpack 2008.1 Editing
Chaos from Armed Assault Mission Database has released a script pack for mission editing on the BI forums.

You can find inside:

1. Crew fleeing script - crews of destroyed tanks or aircrafts are fleeing to given position and are deleted on it.
2. Turret Watch - crews of tanks and fixed mgs are scanning the area ahead
3. Turret set - wracks can now set their turrets in different directions
4. Body remove script - very useful for MP. Its remake of my old script from OFP. Bodies of killed soldiers are changed to "deadbody" objects first, then to "grave" and deleted at end
5. Vehicle occupying script - vehicles goes occupied first when a given variable is true or player/unit is under given distance
6. Group deleting - with this script you can very fast and simple delete a vehicle columns with their passengers
7. Weather & daytime scripts - randomized weather and daytime, mp tested
8. MG scripts - scripts to reocuppy mgs etc.
9. Mortar Scripts - you can use it to set borders of the area (reduce for player), or the enemy artillery spotter is coordinating mortar actions. Will he be killed, artillery will goes innacurate
10. Marker scripts - markers would follow units on the map

and some more.

See the forum thread for more information.
Chaos asked not to host the file on any other websites. Therefore you will need to download the file from ARMAMDB.
