Italian Spec Ops v1.05 released Addon release
Massi has released a newer version v1.05 of his Italian Spec Ops on our forums.

v1.05 date 18/Jan/2010

-Totally reworked SOF Ranger "vegetata" temperate and desert uniforms textures.
-Reworked Navy SF "multicam" and woodland uniforms textures.
-Updated and improved all the other units' uniforms textures.
-Added a model without hat in SF Light recon units.
-SOLVED: issue causing change of texture in Low Resolution LODs, now the units keep their texture also at FAR distances. The problem was affecting every units, specially noticiable on white and desert camo's units that turned green at far distances , NOW solved, and ALL the UNITS KEEP their own camo at every distance

French Special Forces units by owl Addon release
owl has released a French Special Forces units pack on the ArmA-Fr.net Forums. IMEX units are in an Alpha, yet unfinished state. Needed FAMAS addon included.

COS - BETA Version -
DeltaFr IMEX – ALPHA Version -

This addon adds fictive French Special Forces units to ArmA2.
Regarding COS, it's a BIS Special Forces units re-texturing using a CE Camo.
Speaking of IMEX, it's a tribute (even if they are build with far less talent ...) to dashing units you can find under the same name in the OFrP Mod for BIS Operation FlashPoint

ATTENTION : COS et IMEX units are using FAMAS by Néréflo (.pbo included in the archive).

The Undead Mod 0.8 beta released! Addon release
Charon Productions has released finally a beta version v0.8 of The Undead Mod on the BI Forums.

This mod is doing the impossible of simulating zombies in a military simulation that does not support melee attacks, indoor scenarios and many other things that had to be artificially created with this mod.

Most attention was put onto atmosphere, sounds and the infection spread and its dynamics unseen before in any zombie mod.

All 100+ civilians have textured zombie models and most BLUFOR units also. Plus there is an infected "hound". The units can be found under the resistance side in the editor.

Whole islands can be infected with the new virtual infection and migration systems.

If you have a problem with minor bugs in a mod, better purchase one of the console-type zed games and smile.

Due to the nature and complexity of this it will probably remain in beta status with no big guarantee
for enormous future updates due to lack of development time. I will try to fix any significant issues.

Known Issues:
- No MP (Multiplayer) compatibility of all the features
- Undead can pass through walls, so can vanilla arma units !
- Undead can warp some distance when shot or bumping at a certain speed into something
- It can also rarely occur, that a whole undead group does nothing and just stand around
even though it has correct waypoints (Arma2-pathfinding hang-up problem)
- The player does not take falling damage when friendlyfire is disabled
- Some towns are not correctly declared infection-free on the map
once all zeds are killed.

  JTD ClearHorizons released Addon release
DMarwick released his JTD ClearHorizons addons wich removes the painted-on fake mountains and gives you a clear horizon. The first pic is how it was, second is after applying the addon.

OK several people have asked for this WIP to be released, so here it is It basically removes the painted-on fake mountains and gives you a clear horizon, so the only hills & mountains you'll see now in Utes & Chernarus are "real" ones

I had a bug before where I wasn't getting any ingame sky, only white. Now that I have a nice new graphic card fitted, I'm seeing skies again, hence I can finish this off

  Albatros D.III - Hurby Screenshots
Hurby posted three new screenshots of his work in progress Albatros D.III aircraft on the BI Forums.

Hey guys, seeing as Yac is almost done with the Fokker VII, I realized I had to create this thread, to - if nothing else - save him (or someone else?) some time and effort. About a year ago I started working on an Albatros D.III for mine and my friend's project, 'cause we liked dogfighting the old-school style back in Nogova Dogfight days.

Time has passed and we kinda forgot about it, but about a week ago I found the plane on my HDD again and decided to finish it. Some WIP screens:

Please note that I am no WWI-expert and it is very possible that these skins are inaccurate. Right now the top priority is to finish the model (areas without textures are just placeholders).

The same as with Yac's Fokker, the idea behind this one was to create an opponent for the Camel. These planes actually met extensively in the second half of 1917 when the number of D.IIIs peaked at 446 aircraft on the Western Front with the Camel entering service in June 1917.

From the very beginning I tried to make it as skin-friendly as possible. There will be two textures, one with things common for all the planes (engine, cockpit) and the other one with the actual camo, with the possibility to change it through setObjectTexture. I'm even thinking about releasing the whole .PSD with all the sorted layers and stuff.

I cannot really say right now when will I finish this, because even when I find some time and the mood for it, I still have other work to do for CSLA (switching to ArmA2 soon, yay). But I'll try
