Well, I think it's time to stop the chat about the Bear and the "flag" (Since I don't think it's a flag).

If, as a russian, you find the presence of that Bear shameful then PM TankCommander.

These comments aren't here for chatting hours about something this little but for giving constructive criticism and help the autors to improve...

Nice atmosphere. Of course, I see that russian community knows english whole lot better than english-speaking community knows russian . Putin's peaceful speech about improving life in Russia, solving educational problems, e.t.c. looks very sarcastic on the background of military helicopters and heavy tanks video. :) But even with that I do like this video. Thanx.

Nice job TankCommander
Obviously some of us aren't taking the emblems as serious Russian historic reference, to me its about the sounds/music/visuals.
Nice feel for it. BIS should ask a few more non-professionals to do there next promo ;)

I'm not russian and the small intro there was intended not to be exactly accurately russian, but a signature of sorts. It's fictional for a game based on a fictional war. The russian armed forces emblem is there in the top right corner along with the flag. So again, don't take it too seriously. I used google translate to come up with bear cavalry and a segment of a new years speech by Putin mid way into the video. I don't even know what he says so this is more intended for the non russians.

Who would have thought such a small and clearly fictitious intro graphic would cause so many panties to bunch up =/

@TankCommander

"Medved Kavalerii" - is not a "Bear Cavalry" ("cavalry of bears"), it is "Bear of the Cavalry" :)))

This is braincracking Surrealism :))

Thank you for video! :))

Well, for me, as a russian, this bear is hilarious. Yeah, yeah, country personification and all that, I understand. But why take something so hilarious, when russian armed forces have official emblem (two headed byzantine eagle with sword and laurel wreath - look at my avatar) + use something that looks like japanese army flag as a background? This is not the best choice, if you'd ask me - something too pseudorussian...

But nevermind as there was nothing offensive - these're just my 2 cents for the author in hope that he'll be more careful with his choice.

Ok the bear is a reference to the Russian Bear as Deadeye stated. Red stripes spinning was an aesthetics choice rather than meant to represent Imperialist Japan (?). And the Bear Cavalry was a joke. Not everything should be taken seriously people. Please just watch the video for what it is. A personal retouch of a GAME trailer.

@medax : Words like shit/crap aren't welcomed here !

I agree with Michal, I don't see a Imperial Japanese flag there. Oh and concerning the Bear :

However I can't understand how you guys keep on talking about a flag and a bear? How about some comments on the video or the house picture ...
