  RVN Compass Mod released Addon release
Raven_72nd has released a modified compass addon on the BI Forums.

Compass features :
1. 3D Model was tweaked to flatten the distance scale on the left side of the compass. This was primarily done to prevent shadows from obscuring the scale.
2. Texture. 6000 Meter Scale enhanced for accuracy and readability. Information about the scale and the amount of time it takes to cover 100 meters walking, running, etc is printed on the inside of the cover.
3. The Compass has been rescaled to be much larger in both 1st person and map views for dial readability.
4. The Compass has been tilted in 1st person view to allow the back azimuth to be read through the lens or rear sight.
5. The distance scale in Map view works with the 2000m and 200m map grids of the Sahrani Map. The 6000 meter scale covers three grids if you are zoomed all the way out. Dropping a zero, the 6000 meter scale becomes a 600 meter scale if you are zoomed all the way in to the 200m grids.
6. Ability to spin and orient the compass in map mode while holding the right mouse button down. However, this is disabled if you are inside a vehicle as you are actually spinning and orienting yourself. The compass matches your orientation.

  Compact Fix Pack for ArmA by zGuba updated Addon release
zGuba has released a Patch 1.14 compatible version of his Compact Fix Pack for ArmA on the BI Forums.

In February I decided to make cumulative minor gameplay patch for ArmA to be used instead of separate and sometimes self-overwriting addons. My idea was to give some vehicles commanders/spotters/2nd pilots; soon I found out that it couldn't be done without O2 modelling, so I gave it up.

v1.14 - more improvements based on various people's work. I remember at least Chops and Karaya thank you!

HIGHLIGHTS:
- fixed grid zoom levels
- AI is no longer sniping aircraft pilots out
- Laser scanner enabled for some aircrafts, the Vikhrs may lock on laser designated target (not sure if my solution will works)
- M1A1's HEAT got airLock = 1 (I heard that it may be used against enemy helicopters...) the AI does not seem to use it anyways
- Redone RACS / SLA Nationality fix (updated method)

william1 released an improved version of the Zmod Pack (v 0.61c) originally made by NemSiS and Charon. The new version does add the new TCP Zombie animations. For more information head over to the BIS Forums.

Nem Zombies with TCP anims thanks to Teacup . Authorization for releasing them given by ofpforum. This version is 0.61c , the only changes made are the TCP anims and XEH compatibility , so to play them extended eventhandlers addon is needed.

ArmA Warfare is a blend of a team-based multiplayer mission and realtime strategy included as a free update in the latest patch for ArmA Armed Assault / ArmA Combat Operations / ArmA Gold Edition.

* Massive battles
Take on dozens of other players on an online battlefield with hundreds of units.
* First person strategy
Build bases, perform missions, buy equipment and wipe the enemy off the map.
* Reclaim South Sahrani
Discover a new layout of South Sahrani with far more strategic options.
* Personalise your warfare
Be a grunt, lead a tank platoon, fly Close Air Support, or command the entire force.
* New reinforcements
Build up your combat force with all new USMC infantry, base facilities and defenses.

Two sides fight for control of the entire 400 sq km map in titanic battles over air land and sea. Players must capture whole cities to gain resources that can be channelled into manufacturing even more weapons of war.

Each side has one commander, who can build factories and defensive structures in and around their base. As long as they have enough money and resources, players can use these factories to build units, weapons and vehicles. Defensive structures can be used to defend bases and the units stationed there.

Players must take account of logistical considerations outside their bases and cities too as truck convoys ferrying supplies between settlements are vulnerable to attack.

Players on each side are divided into a maximum of 16 teams. The commander can give these teams side missions and specify tasks or objectives, coordinating the entire side to ensure victory.

This is war on a unprecedented scale, even for ARMA!

  Hercules C130 in progress Screenshots
icemotoboy has posted several nice screenshots of his Hercules C130 in the BI Forums.

I'm happy to make the addon available, although I may not be devoting as much time as initially anticiapted, as the guys at RKSL are producing a C130 I suspect is of a very high standard. Instead I will devoting most of my time to my new island and getting the F117 finished completely. Some of this will rub off on the C130, as we use it alot of USEC already.

Currently the C130 has a number of issues that prevent an Alpha release:
* Corrupt Geometry. There is some geometry corruption that prevents binarization. Hence there is a noticably lag when it is introducted in game, which affects performance.
* Loading and Unloading cargo. You can load cargo pallets into the back of the C130, using a special truck. Outside of our special "USEC Revolutions" map, this really has little effect, but you can do Air Drops with it of things like vehicles etc...
* Textures. The textures on the inside are temporary only, as I didn't have the full permissions to use the textures. I will be replacing the textures inside with something else, unless I can gain permission.

These pictures were taken from OPERATION GREEN FIELD, which was a test of a special map file created that allows an operation to be conducted over a long number of days as a persistent map, building bases etc...

  RAF Ch-47 Chinook released Addon release
Smiley Nick released a RAF painted version of the CH-47 Chinook which was created by AfrographX (for OFP) and imported by the FFAA Mod in the BIS Forums.

ALL CREDIT goes to AfrographX & Peloton

Here is an add-on for you to feast your eyes on, the RAF Chinook. Released with a collaboration of people, and with permission granted, the Chinook is now a standalone add-on based on the old ofp model from AfrographX.
The flight dynamics have been impressively created by the Spanish mod and fly’s like a dream, this is no hacked flight dynamics, and it will fly correctly based on its real life counterpart.
The add-on has no extra script functions, nor any cargo possibilities; however the possibility is always open to talented individuals who could make it possible, providing they seek permission. (See readme)
Hope you enjoy it, and please view the readme for further details, located in the rar.

This addon is packed with 7-zip, a packer tool similar to Winrar. You can get it from HERE, but the files can also be extracted with Winrar.

  Snow themed island Screenshots
icemotoboy has released some interesting pictures of his upcoming USEC Snow themed island. For more information and screenshots head over to the BIS Forums.

Based on a real world location, although I have taken some creative license. I have used Digital elevation scans for the real-world location (extreme lattitude island), to a resolution of 30 meters.
Maximum elevation is 1100m, and the area of the map is well over 12,000km square. For the sake of comparison, Sahrani is 400km square. Originally the area was much larger, but it was taking forever (hours) to fly anywhere so I decided to half the size.

The map will feature:
* Custom snow-camo units
* My hypothermia script
* Custom sounds
* Weather effects

  TCP_AnimPack_v0.1 released Addon release
teaCup released an addon that adds two new animations to ArmA in the BIS Forums. Furthermore Rainbow, william1 and Mr.Burns made two short YouTube videos showing the jump animation in action. We have also added william1's replacement pack to archive.

It contains 4 new animations. Two of them will help you jump or step over small obstacles in the game (yes, even those cursed waist high fences). The other two will make you walk like a zombie. Just for funzies..

For a quick preview of the animations, just drop the PBO in your AddOns folder, fire up the editor and place out BLUFOR -> TCP_AnimTest -> _TCP_AnimTestSoldier. Start the mission and walk up to a small fence. Stop 30-40 cm in front of it and trigger the salute and sit down actions.
Then place out Civilian -> TCP_AnimTest -> _TCP_Zombie. Make him walk and run. That's it, hope some of you will like it.
