While browsing Youtube for Arma videos, we came across a few interesting pages, made by jojimbo and Canukausiuka, that appears to show Invasion 1944 material in ArmA. To make sure it was really them that made this, we contacted jojimbo, and he had the following to say:
"Yes, we have indeed started porting over some of the content from OFP to ArmA. It started when a few old friends that formed the Core of the mod started posting on our team forums after a long period of silence. With a renewed interest, we've started working on the port. Shown in the videos, besides the graphical progress, is a first for us in ArmA modding, namely animations on weapons, especially bolt-operated. We now use these to have the weapon operate as realistically as possible with fully animated carriage."
Gnat has released a short video and progress update on his V22 Osprey addon.
- Able to lock animations as foward only. - Also found you can animate a WHOLE model, hence I was able to remove the slight nose down at cruise. Now it looks perfect cruising along at 400 knots! Near perfect to fly like a plane or chopper.
Sparky from the Helenic Warfare Mod has informed us of the release of 2 explosive videos about their new destruction system on YouTube. First video shows the destruction effects on a 240 GD, the second shows them on their newly created Hueys.
....This scripted system provides a workaround for ArmA’s engine failure for working turrets on Plane class vehicles. We are not touting this a the be all and end all solution to the problems of Turrets on planes but its certainly a step foward.....The video shows a Mockup Predator UAV, the gunner’s Optic/GUI, laser designation of targets and the target tracking system.
What this means is: - It is now possible to have turrets on planes. Not just laser designators but potentially machine guns, canons etc. eg WWII bombers. - It is possible for single or dual seat aircraft to “self designate” laser guided bombs realistically. - A Full and practical range of UAV’s are possible.

I have yet to make a model, nor have I figured out how to get the AI to orbit a specific area, so at the moment I'm using a heli config so the AI pilot doesn't crash and burn. I'll hopefully nail orbits some time this week.
snake22000, one of the famous creator from the XAM Mod has released a 20 minute video showing the upcoming XAM 1.4 in the BI Forums. All the scenes filmed are not scripted. Only a few pieces of music were added to the video.
rundll.exe surprised the community with very interesting video shwoing his Gravity Gun script in Armed Assault in the BI Forums.
Hi, I was fiddling a bit with the scripting commands and after playing HalfLife 2 ep.2 A thought stroke my mind it would be funny to have a gravity gun in ArmA. So I made one.
Well. its not finished yet but here is the progress and plan: working: -Possible to pick up an object where your gun is pointing by shooting at it. -The object is "glued"to your gun until you fire it. -A throw and drop mode, selectable as if you would toggle semi and auto fire. Throw will fire the object in the gun direction. Drop will just drop the object to the ground. -Specify a list of objects classes that are allowed to pick up. There arent that many objects in arma that allow physics simulation. (all vehciles do but you dont really want to throw a tank) -config of the "weapon", ammo and ammocrate
Todo -Make the pickup more precise. Sometimes nearby objects you cant see are picked. -Create a weapon model, now I just use the m16 -make the object be drawn to you instead of teleport.
RKSL, the renowned addons maker Team has posted some news about their work in progress on their web site.
Its been a busy month for us at RKSL. We've got a lot going on behind the scenes. Late last month we released some info and a video about the A400M, and Seaking HC4. This month we've just published a whole raft of screen shots of new projects and a new video of the BAe Hawk T2 advanced Trainer model. Some of the SAM systems are coming online and we're making progress with the Cargo System. Sooo to reflect all this and to keep you up to speed I'm spending some time on the website in the next few days.
CheyenneAH56 from the Sécurité Civile Mod has sent us a news about a new version 3 of their teaser posted on Youtube. They still hope that a talented scripter will help them to complete these addons!
