  CheckMate missions, MP missions with SWAP system Mission release    


Murcielago has submitted us his new MP Mission for ArmA 2 called "CheckMate".

CheckMate missions are a new type of mission to show my new Arma creation, SWAP system.

SWAP system allows players to use the switch team member feature IN MULTIPLAYER MISSIONS! Basically this system allows you to swap from one unit to the other one but in addition I added some things...

When you use the SWAP system to change from unit A to B, unit A will carry on looking at the same direction and it will keep the same stance when you will take control of unit B.

SWAP system will keep the same looking direction for units inside turrets too and, aircrafts will keep the same altitude. For example you will be able to easily have a full control of an Apache helicopter. You will need only to swap to the pilot and move the helicopter to the desired location. Once you meet the enemy swap to the gunner and have fun!

Swap system is an universal solution as it works with infantry and vehicles in addition it adds a new huge number of possibilities to the game because with SWAP system you will be able to do things that you could not do before, for example, you can move your SWAP units as a SWAT team or, you can place AI units wherever you want (Taking cover behind a vehicle, looking through a window, inside a house facing the door...)

To complete the SWAP system I created the ChessMove system. This new system makes easy to move any unit/vehicle of your side. ChessMove system is a simple visual help that will move from individual soldiers to vehicles with two clicks on the map!

So I use these features a mission system where both players have exactly the same conditions and they need to fight to conquest an specific location. It looks like a chess match.

Players have same weapons and vehicles. Their uniforms are similar so I included a modified military symbols feature to help players (This option can be disable) to recognize ally units and vehicles. All vehicles will be shown on RADAR as red icons on both sides so no one has advantage as I pick the right sides and vehicles on purpose. Finally players have the same number and types of ally groups to help them to create different tactics.

In a CheckMate mission only the players make the difference.

  A Day As Policeman 2 - update to 4.0 Mission release    


maxjoiner has submitted us the new update 4.0 for the ArmA2 mission "A Day as Policeman 2"


This is my second mission with my Police Mod.
Like the first mission you must patrol the city of Zargadab.
The goal is to eliminate crime in the city
There is much work to be done and There are many mission to do!


Changelog:

- Add Swat Armored and Swat units intervention if You kill your colleagues
- fixed Brawl bugs

  SP/COOP mission released - 'For Guglovo' Mission release    


2nd Ranger has released his mission For Guglovo on the BIS Forums

This is the first mission I have released. It is my own imagining of the events that led to the first Chernarussian civil war and the forming of the Chedaki. In 1997, three brothers, ethnic Russians, return from hunting to find their village has been raided by a gang of Nationalist thugs, and go looking for revenge.


Features:
-Fully voice-acted
-Atmospheric but inobtrusive music
-Intro cinematic
-Overview and loading screen
-Threat Indicator
-MP Parameters: Show Intro and Show Threat Indicator
-Random elements, such as enemy numbers, paths, weapons and ammo


Notes:
The mission was originally designed for co-op and can be played by three people, however there are some minor locality issues that I haven't yet been able to fix, so I'm just releasing it for single player at the moment. Dropping the file into your MPMissions folder will allow co-op play.

  The Shooting Range 2 - ACE version Mission release    


Murcielago has released a new version (1.14.0.583) of his training mission The Shooting Range 2 for ACE.

Ladies and gentlemen here we have the ACE version for The Shooting Range 2. The Shooting Range 2 ACE version will allow you to test the huge amount of new weapons included in this amazing
Arma 2 mod.

ACE mod also includes wind deflection for projectiles so they make a perfect combination, the heaven for shooters!




This is a separate file from my original Shooting Range 2 mission. This is only the ACE version.

  A Day As Policeman 2 (V. 3.0) Mission release    

maxjoiner has submited an updated version 3.0 of hisA Day As Policeman 2 SP Mission on our site.

This is my second mission with my Police Mod.
Like the first mission you must patrol the city of Zargadab.
The goal is to eliminate crime in the city
There is much work to be done and There are many mission to do!

The radio will say You where and what You must do
Objectives will be shown on the map with a red symbol.
If you will stop a crime the city crime will decrease!
Otherwise It will increase!
You can found ammo in Police Station,
You and your colleague can heal yourselves,
You can repair your Police patrol to the Police station
by approaching to the workshop.
If It destroyed a Worker will bring You another
Your colleague will follow You everywhere in Car and to walk,
If He will die It will come another colleague.
Right Ctrl + M = Minimap on the screen.
If You will kill a colleague You will be an outlaw and.....
If You will kill a civilian the City Crime will increase
and Your Score will decrease!

  The Shooting Range 2 Mission release    

Murcielago has informed us about the release of updated The Shooting Range 2 training mission.

Updated version of The Shooting Range. This new version contains some new features and improvements.

This is a mission and not a mod so you only need Arma 2 and Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead to play it.

This mission will allow you to enjoy the best ballistic simulation in a simulator. The projectile camera will allow you to see what projectiles do in a proper simulator: ricochet of bullets, deflection of bullets, loss of energy/speed due to air friction and/or due to material penetration, complex simulation of material penetration (depending of bullet type, material and distance), bullet drop (Force of gravity)...

This mission is different... It uses maths formulas to place objects to give to every player the same things at the same place as you can use this mission to compete against four players; It has menus to guide you to create tests to compete with other players; It has a complete set of messages to allow you to understand how you need to the things... In addition it contains all the Arma 2 Combined Operations weapons and most common vehicles to use them as targets so you can use this mission to improve your skills or you can share your knowledge with colleagues.

The Shooting Range 2 can be a shooting competition for 5 players; it can be a training area for you; it can be a place where you can share your knowledge with colleagues; It can be a place where you will be capable to see differences between: weapons, ammunition and targets; It can be the place where you can test a new weapon or vehicle...

*NEW FEATURES:
-TWO VERSIONS of the mission (East and west);
-PROJCTILE DATA to allow you to know: muzzle projectile speed, final projectile speed, speed loss, range and projectile point of impact for every vehicle/unit
-MULTIPLE TARGETS and ability to change stances of targets for soldiers.
-FENCE OBJECT to study bullet penetration and how it affects to bullet's energy and direction.
-TARGET ROTATION.

  Conspiracies Rising Dead 3 by Sled88 Mission release    

Sled88 has released his Conspiracies Rising Dead 3 campaign on the BI Forums. Additional download for Coop-playable up to 5 player.

Conspiracies Rising Dead 3 is the official sequel to Rising Dead 1 and 2. Because we have not exact intro made for CRD3, I maybe have to explain what the player is about to do in this game. Your mission is to destroy the Powerplant of Chernobyl at all costs. The so called "Free-Roaming" mode is, to say it short, a huge mission where you decide what you do, how you do and when you do your next steps. You can do what you want, as long as you succeed your mission. You can accept additional missions, which were maybe not that neccessary to succeed, but which will maybe bring you closer or easier to your mission-target. Remember that not all creatures or people were hostile to you in the zone...
Special thanks to Old Bear for his time and work on the island.

  Team DM and DM 3.0 mission pack Mission release    

Murcielago has submitted his updated Team DM and DM 3.0 mission pack on our site.

This mission pack contains two game modes (Team DM and DM) and 4 environments: Construction Site (Utes), Chernarus (Chernogorsk), Stary Sabor (Chernarus) and Shapur-1 (Shapur). There are two types of DM missions: Normal and Mix version. Mix version missions features a different characters for each player.

FEATURES:

3D Respawn System: That allows you to respawn safely inside structures.

3D Marker: System that shows a colleague position in team DM missions. This makes easier to "hunt" the enemy with a friend! 3D Marker is a dynamic feature, it will hide your colleague's name every time you use your weapon sights so the text will not bother you when you are shooting.

Anti-hacker System: This basic system checks if players are breaking the rules and it makes more difficult to hack the mission. Once the anti-hacker system detects a hacker it will broadcast his game ID and it will lock his game.

Anti-TeamKill System: This feature punish players in team DM missions that killed a colleague. The punishment consist in locking their character for: 10s (First kill), 80s (Second kill), 4.5 minutes (Third kill), almost 11minutes (Fifth kill) and so on!

Anti-Camper System: This feature is great to make the match more dynamic. In addition it is useful when there are a few players as the Anti-Camper system will make them move!

Scalable Features: This allows the admin to modify the mission parameters to create totally different experiences. Weather, day/night, weapon options (Use all weapons, limit weapons to a group of weapons such sniper rifles or use an specific weapon such a such a Glock pistol), Anti-Camper (ON/OFF)...

Realistic and Complex Environments: All missions have been created with realism and quality in mind to allow the players to have great action experiences.

Improvements: This mission pack is an evolution of my DM 2.0 mission pack released on 2011. This new project contains improvements to made the gaming experience more fun and easy. For example, you will have a marker (Waypoint) to let you know where the centre of the map is (You will always respawn away from the center) Another new feature is the intro aerial view to let the player know the battlefield layout so new players will find it harder to get lost.

(Thanks to the light scripts this missions will work fine even in mid-low end computers with a standard broadband)

  Silent Rescue (First Stealth Mission For Arma 2) Mission release    

Murcielago has submited his Silent Rescue MP Mission to our site.

Description:
This is a project that took me more than a year to finish it. It is a huge strong project, more of this time was spent in testing and improving all the scripts.

Silent Rescue is may be the most complex mission you have ever seen. This mission have been built for 6 players. Players have roles to do:
. Medic: Capable to heal colleagues and deploy a respawn tent. Can not carry sniper rifles.
. Satellite operator: Capable to mark targets using the satellite camera. All other players will receive the information automatically.
. Strategic bombing operator: Capable to send six targets to be destroyed by the harrier.
. Ammo Soldier: Capable to create ammo for everyone. Can not carry sniper rifles.
. Engineer (x2): Capable to attach stealth charges to the targets.

In Silent Rescue you will need to rescue a hostage on one hand, on the other hand, you will need to find a satellite phone inside a building and hack it to stop the enemy reinforcements. Once you are detected the enemy can use reinforcements (Soldiers and helicopters with soldiers)

The AI in Silent rescue has been slightly tweaked. It is capable to: look randomly to any direction, move inside building, detect corpses, move with random paths, look through windows, and patrol at random areas… In addition most of the AI units in this mission have three random positions to spawn. Finally, once the enemy detects you all the AI will change its behaviour and they will move to safer positions.

  After The Apocalypse Mission release    

maxjoiner has informed us about his new After The Apocalypse SP Mission release. Arma 2: Combined Operations needed.

Description:

Year 2112, to 100 years from nuclear holocaust,
the few survivors are forced to live in fear.
the strong radiations have genetically modified some virus,
which awaken the dead, making them inhumans,
transforming them into flesh-hungry beasts.
But there is still a hope........

Features:
-No required addons
-random scenario with big destroyed City that covers the entire map
-over 4500 objects on the map
-hordes of zombies (70 units)
-New zombie animation (No addons only scripts)
-Different resistance to bullets and weapons based on zombies units

  The Freedom's Sniper Mission release    

Maxjoiner has informed us about The Freedom's Sniper SP Sniper Stealth Mission release. ArmA2OA 1.60 needed but no extra addon needed.

Description:

July 8, 2012 Takistan army commander, Abdul Mohamed Ben Aziz, with a coup, even committing atrocities against civilians, gets absolute power, becoming the new Rais.
The United Nations is powerless due to the veto by China, historical ally of Takistan.
Not having the ability to send the army, on orders from U.S. President, the CIA recruits five best snipers contractors sending in Takistan.
The five snipers are airlifted and parachuted in Takistan, their secret mission is to kill Colonel Ben Aziz.
Mission very difficult because the whole army of Takistan is mobilized officially to search for dissidents but really to recover as much wealth as possible.
The country has set aside about 150,000 soldiers, mechanized infantry, tanks and even the air force patrols the skies with helicopters and airplanes.
In fact It's not difficult to meet civilians that hide herself near towns.

  co26 @I44 Refueling The Beast [I44 CO] by VanhA Mission release    

VanhA has informed us about co26 @I44 Refueling The Beast [I44 CO] MP Mission on the BI Forums.

Introducing my fourth coop for I44 mod.
This one is playable as germans on Merderet Winter.

The mission is divided for two german engineer teams which must ambush a british convoy and capture a fuel truck.
The truck is to be used to refuel a panzer and attack Chef-Du-Pont. Both sides are running low on supplies.
I strongly recommend human control for both teams because otherwise the ambush will be spoiled.

Use the other team to lay some mines and wait for the fuel truck and the other team to engage tanks with a pak40 from the other side of the road.

  [SP] Blue Hills by Imutep Mission release

Blue Hills is a prime mission with a consistently high quality. In Blue Hills you will find a fascinating story about the resistance fighter Sahid, who help the KSK team to liberate four german UN soldiers. The attention to details is remarkable, and depending on your progress during the mission, the story unfolds more and more. Here you should always keep your eyes open. In addition to the role of the Sahid you must also fight as a unit of the KSK team in different parts of the mission.

  GTA Chernarus II by Maxjoiner Mission release    

Maxjoiner has informed us about GTA Chernarus II SP Campaign release.

Description:
David Stiller the undiscussed king of the crime let alone Boss of the gang "Black Angels"
is arrested by the Police thanks to an anonymous tip-off.
Interpreting David will have to as first mission escape from the prison island
of maximum security of Utes, to then reconquer all Chernarus your territory.
To do this one you will have to do varied missions that will return you reputation and money.

- New texture with the repaint scripts.
- No addons to use.
- New actions.
- New vehicles.
- New Units.
- Minimap on the screen.
