  A2WarMod Patch v 1.2 Addon release    

Günter Severloh has informed us about the A2Warmod Patch v 1.2 release.

Description:
An Update which includes fixes, updates, and additions to the A2WarMod Arma2 Compilation Mod

Features:
- texture replacement addon that replaces the sky textures to give you a consistent horizon and removes the painted-on mountains.
- Fireteam HUD that Provide situational awareness on where your fireteam members are and what their orientation is.
- HDR reducing effects by adjusting the aperture
- user able to set the AI dispersion for all mounted MG's in the game, both static and on vehicles.
- tracers and tracer pattern modification for all weapons that use 556x45, 545x39, 762x51,
and 762x54 rounds.
- AI able to use grenade launchers like the M203 and GP-25. (Fix & updated)
- AI units able to equip themselves with weapons and ammo (new version)
- 100+ faces in Arma2 available to choose in your player profile, each with 6 camo variants,
giving a total of over 700 faces to choose from
- AI_Range increased the AI effectiveness to its maximum capability,
with its only decreases in the AI's super accuracy in game, to give a more instinctive and enjoyable firefight.
- clutter on Chernarus for a better view and a very small performance boost.

  Type89 Ver3.0 by waterhiro Addon release    
waterhiro has sent us his Type89 Ver3.0 addon.

This is type89 rifle rifle of JSDF.

Original modeling is Battle overHokkaido-BOH-Mod-Addons.
I converted for ArmA2-OA.
new model hand grip, and new texture.

This addon is made for ArmA2-OA 1.54
This was tested in (1.54ver) only.
Not fully tested in Multiplayer.

  ACE WIP Roundup #4 Community    

Sickboy has informed us about the ACE ongoing development on the ACE site as v1.6 Stable Release is upcoming.

Another ACE WIP Roundup, this time for Friday's upcoming 1.6 RC2!
Hopefully followed by ACE 1.6 Stable Release, by next week!

These changes are included in the next Ongoing Development update.

* Fire does damage to players. #14587

* New FX, units that eject out of burning tanks or wheeled APCs are screaming and on fire

  co08 - Operation Dawn Breaker [The Unusung MBG Nam] Mission release    

Mondkalb has released an updated co08 - Operation Dawn Breaker mission on the BI Forums.

Situation:
Bravo team is airlifted to LZ Fiona from where they'll setup a patrol route to checkpoint X-ray.
At checkpoint X-ray Bravo team will prepare and initiate a assault on
Bac Hoang. When Bac Hoang is under control the team will try recover intell and then proceed to extraction point.

Info:
* Uses revive script
* Artillery support available every 5 min
* To call in artillery support you need to be within 3m of your Radio Telephone Operator.
* You can't call in artillery support on targets further than 300m of your own position.

  Post Apocalypse Units by Icewindo [CO] Addon release    
Icewindo has released an updated Post Apocalypse Units addon on the BI Forums.

This addon needs Combined Ops (ArmA2&OA)
So, here's my take on post-apocalyptic units. These guys can be found under independent -> Post APC - Commoners -> Units. Groups can be found under Ice - Post Acalypse.
They were loosely inspired by the Terminator Salvation resistance and my own imagination.

V 1.02 - 10/27/10

- added backpacks as equipable OA backpacks (thanks to StalkerGB for tut)
- added new Teamleader model using Johnys SF model/ArmA1 SF
- added rusty, used M4A1, M16A2 and M136
- M4A1 and M16A2 use flashlights
- new icons for the backpacks, weapons and magazine (2x duct taped Stanag ammo)
- some stuff I don't remember

  Operation L.A.M.E. by Clayman Mission release    
Clayman informed us about the release of his newest SP Mission Operation L.A.M.E. for ArmA2 Combined Operations. Your objective is to locate and destroy an enemy SCUD Launcher and to eliminate one of Col. Aziz' evil twins.There is a wide range of support available, from UAV over Artillery to High Command (later in the mission). Use it to make your mission easier or go the hard way by doing everything on your own.

This was actually meant as a playground for testing some of the DAC features and some other scripts and stuff. But somehow this turned out to be quite fun to play, so I decided to create a small mission around it and release it to the public. Don't expect anything fancy mission-wise, just take it as what it is. ;-)

  Invasion 1944 Preview & Class-list Addon release    



Pac from Invasion 1944Mod has sent us a I44-Preview.

Here's a small sneak preview showing some of the missions, units and weapons that we'll be featuring in the upcoming release of Invasion 1944. Also we've included a class list with (hopefully) every unit, vehicle, object, weapon and ammo type included in the mod so mission makers can get a head-start on converting any existing missions.

  BD Tracer Lights v1.0 Addon release    
Big Dawg KS has released an BD Tracer Lights v1.0 addon on the BI-Forums. This fairly simple addon adds appropriately colored light sources to tracers to enhance night combat. The color and intensity of the light is determined by the config properties of the ammunition.

This fairly simple addon adds appropriately colored light sources to tracers to enhance night combat. The color and intensity of the light is determined by the config properties of the ammunition. This addon also works with the NVG only tracers on the light machineguns; these tracers emit a very dim light that is barely visible, but can be clearly seen through night vision.
