Iranian Connection - Hormuz crisis minicampaign SP Episode 1
The situation rapidly deteriorates in Quesh-Kibrul: Iranian forces that made a naval blockade of the islands started a retaliatory strike against the Quesh-Kibrul DF as well as NATO forces in the archipelago.
During the early morning IRIAF F-4E Phantoms and F-14 Tomcats repeatedly violated the emirate airspace flying at low altitude over sensible installations (KQDF military compounds as well as oil facilities), the emirate DF reacted shooting a salvo of Stinger AA missiles and several 0.50 Cal rounds against the iranian planes, that a few minutes after the incident responded bombing an empty Oil depot in the northern side of Quesh-Kibrul West.
A couple of hours later Quesh-KibrulDF HQ asked USCENTOM and NATO to intervene to stop iranian naval infantry landing in northern KQ East.
There are Intel reports of iranian marines landings in two villages of East QK (Kal-Kul and Abou-Toulver), and the nearby docks facilities.
A US Navy Hurricane patrol boat have confirmed that just two hours after the IRAF bombings an Iranian navy LST close the south coast have started launching several Zodiac rafts and a helicopter with marines on board.
Reports from Quesh-Kibrul are almost confused, is not clear how many villages are under attack, how many troops are landing on the island but most important, if this is only a hit and run retaliatory strike or the beginning of a full scale invasion.
You will know a bit more playing the first Episode (Single Player) of the mini campaign: The Iranian invasion.
You will fight as a platoon leader of 101st Airborne Division airlifted directly over East Quesh-Kibrul suddendly invaded by iranian naval infantry, trying to fight back the raiders.
