Omaha Beach Beta1

The map features the Omahabeach area at D-Day morning and should suit well for WWII scenarios. It is based on historical maps, google earth and of course a little bit of imagination.
In the NE you will find a small island which should not be there but is supposed to be the base for invasion even if it might be a little far away(the boats are too slow ;o). There is also space for a small airport but that is not included yet.
You can find Villages, a working but not finished roadnet and a landscape inspired by the Normandy. An airport is still to come.. i´m open to suggestions where to place it.
This is a 10X10 km map based on the area around Omaha Beach. It features omaha beach as it was assumed to be on D-day at around 6.30 am with very low waterlevel ( based on historical map).In the NE there is a small island with a small harbour for invasion to start from. It is also planned to have a airfield on it( not implemented yet).
This is a beta and not finished yet.If you any have suggestions, contact me on Bis-forums. |
