There is no dedicated server tool for now...

It's normal that ArmA II online isn't at his full-capabilities

Some fanboys are more interested in the editor and making addons than actually playing the game online. Those that do play Arma online are the ones with the complaints.

I do well understand that some people are having problems with the game and I can imagine their frustration. What I do not understand though is that they don't stop talking about it. They will anyway have to wait until BIS has fixed the issues with a patch. Instead of moaning, they should better report their issues and bugs they've detected so far to BIS in order to shorten the time until they are fixed. I have found some bugs already myself, e.g. when opening the map during game, the grid coordinates sometimes disappear. But any bug I have found so far are minor things, which I believe, will be fixed very soon by BIS, as they have always done that in the past.
If someone from BIS should read this, please remove the stupid Holliwoodset wall at the end of the map in the north and west. The map is so vast and beautiful you destroy the believable world. I really couldent understand how you let the map just ending (running out) in this green-brown emptyness to the north and the west ? Why not having a nice beach there ? This is the most annoying thing from my point of view or is this what we have now here just a quater of the island and the rest 3 pars coming in the next moth and complet it to a verry big island? Is not need if you as me its already big so just let the map running out like you always did it as it is now it looks unfinished and of course the MP playing style has to change (I meen the conecting problems and mistakes in the campain only) but I am sure they are working already hard on this one.
Overall I think that ArmA2 is the best military simulation game ever made. I never felt that a game looks so real before, e.g. the distances of the world buildings to each other. This game really drags you into its world, but only for as long as you dont go too far north or west to the Holliwoodset area, but I think this is going to change soon.
Thanks a lot BIS for this fantastic, f*****g amazing game! Difficult to believe that this will be beaten by any other game soon. ArmA2 I already love you.
So please stop the moaning, guys. I've spoken with many other people already. Many are switching over from other games to ArmA2 now being amazed by the nice graphics and real looking environments.

regards
Luke from the UNA Clan.

Alpha125 on the contrary, user feedback has been very positive indeed, it seems like 9 out of 10 people who have bought the German version of ArmA2 go from satisfied to very happy, having the forums offline is harming the very positive word of mouth and only a fool would think we would deliberately take down the forums because of bad press.

If we're afraid of bad press why did we publish FlashpointElite's 1/10 review score on BIS.com's news headlines? :)

The websites and forums had all been running from the same server, in the past it never really caused any problems, this week for some reason the traffic of the German release exceeded anything we'd seen before and the forum activity alone ran the risk of bringing down the websites, obviously with the patch being out we felt the primary importance was that the customers could come to ArmA2.com and find the patch and download it so we decided to take the forums down and leave the websites up.

Today we've arranged for the forums to be on a dedicated quad core server and they're in the process of being moved over, hopefully they will be back sometime within the next 12-48 hours.

I just tried it for a couple of hours, if you liked Arma you'll like Arma 2, but personally I think that it should be named Arma 1.5 and you shouldn't pay the full price. It's just an expansion, not a new product...

If ArmA II is ArmA 1.5 I can finally use my funny demonstration !

So here, for all people that think that Codemaster will make a better game than BIS... this is the logical proof that ArmA II > OFP 2:

1.5 OFP = ArmA
1.5 ArmA = ArmA II

1.5 ArmA² = 1.5 OFP*ArmA II
1.5 ArmA²/1.5 OFP = ArmA II
(1.5 (1.5 OFP)²)/1.5 OFP = ArmA II
3.375 OFP²/1.5 OFP = ArmA II
2.25 OFP = ArmA II

So ArmA II > OFP 2.25 > OFP 2

Tadaaam

__ *Cough*

Now now... no more conspiracies theories, they are everywhere but that's not our nor your problem !
Please go back on the topic... on a good spirit.

Thx ;-)

@ UNA-A1-Luke, thanks for that mate, I was hoping to read something like that, specially having a very similar PC specs to mine.
Now I know is going to be what I'm hoping for.
