HeinBloed has released his updated GDTModSatchel addon on the BI Forums. This little addon allows you to attach satchel charges inside a vehicle. Multiplayer compatible & useful for mission makers, especially for SF missions!
Changelog 1.01 =========================== All crew (except tank crew) will be killed on the explosion.
There is one strange bug i can not fix: If you can't attach a satchel to a vehicle wich is not empty you have to reveal the vehicle first (default: right mouse button). This happens only with [Options>Difficulty: "Auto report" = Disabled]
jerryhopper has informed the release of ArMaTeC Football on the BI Forums. This addon contains a football with an MP demo mission, which allows you to play some football with your friends.
Ladies and Gentlemen, its time to stretch your legs!
May i present to you (on behalf of armatec), the first Digitally Signed FOOTBALL! Yes, with this very same ball, the Sahrani Soccer Cup will be played.
After the release of the signature tools, Armatec decided to release his 'Ball' to the public.
That's right folks. ArmedAssault.info needs YOUR help. Since our new site is running we need even more staff to present you the newest releases for Armed Assault.
Needed are :
- Mission Admins: Adding Missions/Campaigns to the database. Please keep in mind that adding stuff to the database can take some time. Only apply if you are motivated and have got some spare time for our site.
- Newsposter: Adding the latest news to our site and uploading Addons. Please keep in mind that adding stuff to the database can take some time. Only apply if you are motivated and have got some spare time for our site
- Translators: Translating news into any language,....maybe also your native language? Furthermore the German section needs support ;)
- Game Server Admins: Your job is to search for MP Missions and add them missions to our gameserver. In the futur you'll also need to convert some popular missions, in order to get them running with the featured mod.
Gruftschreck informed us, that Spinor from CoC has released an Update of the CoC Command Engine X (0.86) over at the BI Forums.
New beta version CEX 0.86 is available for download! Tip: Try out the new keyboard shortcuts, especially SHIFT+RMB for easily adding several waypoints.
Aussie has posted several pictures of his WIP island called "Yanutha" on the BI Forum WIP addons thread.
It started out as a test project and progressed from there. The island has been made specifically for CTI missions which we have been testing for many months and is almost ready for release (yes JIP is working). As for the island name, it was roughly modelled on an island south of Fiji called Yanutha, so that will be its final name.
YacieK has posted some pictures of his PMC mercenaries addon on our forums. Head over to the forum thread for more pictures showing a closer look of the equipment in Oxygen and to discuss about this addon.
scubaman3D has posted two pictures of his FN SCAR assault rifle on the BI Forums.
So I found a great model of a SCAR H for free on the internet and set about making a Special Forces Weapons addon for ArmA.
I don't take any credit for this model and the author only asks that it not be used to make money and to give credit where credit is due, but I would like to know if anyone might be interested in helping me develop the addon.
RobertHammer has posted several pictures of his weapon packs on the BI Forums. Pictures below are featuring his RPG-7V launcher and AK-74SU modifications. For more information and pictures of his weapons, head over for the forum thread!
Maruk from the Bohemia Interactive has announced the release of BinPBO utility on the BI Forums. The tool is a GUI application for binarizing and packing ArmA addons.
It was a long and painful process, but finally it's here, our new site has reached a sufficient development to be opened to our visitors!
As you can see, this version looks alot more like the OFP.info site than the first version of Armedassault.info. We didn't want to reinvent the wheel, and to build on the original site, which so many people used.
There are many similarities with OFP.info, such as a similar interface and multilanguage support, but there are also a large number of improvements. These include a new search system, addons and missions can be rated, sorted by different criterias. I.e., you can view all files released by a particular addonmaker by clicking on his name. Furthermore a download counter has been added, comments are functional and easier to manage for the team, and many more great features!
The biggest change is in the "admin" section, which will allow us to be faster in adding and sorting content, making modifications, as well as translating it for our other language portals, etc...
Download speeds should be increased too, as we've transferred them to a new server.
This new website has been made available through the work of Nano19 who made virtually all the PHP code. He worked on the ArmA-Fr.net site with SoldierIsNotHistory, of which this site is based on.
A big "Thank you!" should be giving to our leader Cervo, without his perseverance this site would not be what it is today. Also we would like to thank MarK and Hardrock, who helped us on old versions, which never have never been published, but have allowed us to determine what was necessary and what was useless or too complicated.
Maruk has announced the release of DSUtils, an utilities pack comprising DSCreateKey and DSCheckSignatures on the BI forums.
This tool is released for addon makers in order to allow them to generate their own digital signatures (private and public keys) to be used for signing data packages for ArmA.
Snake Man from Vietnam: The Experience mod team has released several new Work in Progress screenshots over on our forums, along with information about how the mod itself is progressing.
ArmA engine will allow us to create incredible looking jungle without such CPU slowdowns as seen with OFP (not to say that VTE-OFP was lagging). There is much to learn from the engine so our models are now just retextures and OFP ports, but in time we will create new content. We are in very early on the development and anyone interested of the proceedings can check here or the official forums.
Frostman has released another teaser video of his DSF Unofficial Stargate Simulator on our forums. This video is a quick clip of the work in progress UI (user interface).
Soul Catcher has released an UKF Weapon Packs v.01 from BSF Studios on the BI Forums.
Hi all , BSF STUDIOS proudly presents to you the UKF Weapon Packs converted for ArmA (with full permission), these packs will provide you with a fairly comprehensive set of modern british weapons, they will NOT replace any of the default ArmA weapons and can be found in the editor under the EMPTY\AMMO menu in the "UKF Weapon & Ammo Box". All weapon and ammo classnames are contained in the readme.
