  F2 : Mission Development Framework v2-0-5 released Editing    
Fer has informed us about F2 v2-0-5 release. F2 is a framework: an MP mission folder containing a library of scripts, functions and template files, plus a manual . The framework is designed to provide the mission designer, after minimal additional configuration, with a selection of pre-tested features and functionality intended to improve the overall quality and re-playability of his/her mission.

  NIM Dynamic Weather for ArmA2 released Addon release    
Binkowski has released an ArmA2 version of the NIM Dynamic Weather for ArmA2 addon on the BI Forums. This addon enhances the players surroundings and makes the user feel more immersed with the natural environment. The user will be able to select a variation of game logics which allow the weather systems to be activated.

This is the NIM Dynamic weather addon successfully ported into ArmA2, this addon SHOULD (99% sure) work without any major game breaking issues, if you happen to find any, please post here or PM me.

Yes this addon is signed for multiplayer.

  co14 Hunt Waldo (Utes) updated Mission release    

Bon has released a reworked version of his co14 Hunt Waldo (Utes) mission on the BI Forums.

So for all who do not know my Hunt Waldo mission on Utes, here is a small description (again):

Actually, it is just a fun mission for about 4 to 14 players, but in which the various responsibilities of the particular players make teamplay and communication among themselves to be of utmost importance.

The mission is simple: find the oppositions leader, codename 'Waldo', and bring him to your initial point. (Yeah, I know, find Waldo. Funny, isn't it?)

You start at the U.S.S. Khe Sanh with entering the island.
- First, clear the LZ south of the island so that we have easy access to Utes for the further operation and that we can deploy our artillery there.
- Head for Strelka and clear it of enemy units.
- There is also a radar station in Strelka which serves the enemy to call in reinforcements from time to time. It is not required to destroy it, but recommended.
- Next, conquer the airfield of Utes so that the way is clear to Kameny, where we expect Waldos remainder.
- On the way to Kameny there is once again a radar tower, same story as with the one in Strelka.
- (Clear Kameny), Search Kameny for Waldo, who should hide himself in one of the houses.
- Bring Waldo to the LHD, alive. Mission succeeds when Waldo is on the carrier, mission fails as soon as Waldo dies.

  GDT Mod Helicopter Weapons by HeinBloed updated Addon release    
HeinBloed has released an updated 1.01 version of his GDT Mod Helicopter Weapons addon on the BI Forums.

This addon changes the use of the helicopter weapons for the AH1Z, Ka52 and Mi24.

- Pilot can use the gunner weapon optics when gunner is AI or nonexistent.
- Auto lock on on vehicles for guided missiles deactivated. There are two fire modes for guided missiles:
1. Manual guidance.
2. Laser guidance with Laser-Seeker for lock on on Laser Designator targets




New version:
Changelog 1.01
Fixed: Malfunction for players with blank character in the name.
Fixed: Missile was going out of control when launched while aiming steeply.

  A2D Editor by EMSI updated Editing    


EMSI has released an updated 1.1 version of his A2D Editor on the BI Forums.

A2D Editor
Smart editor (generator) expecially designed for creating description.ext file for game ArmA2 (and ArmA1, OFP).
- Entering of parameters is designed with forms in separated sections
- User can select which sections will be created
- Final generated code is displayed before saving and user can change it manually
- Attached Help file with description of all functions

Update to v1.1

  FFAA Mod CH-47 released Addon release    

Peloton from the Fuerzas Armadas Mod has released a FFAA Mod CH-47 addon on the BI Forums.

Version 1.00 forces CH47 Chinook helicopter the Army (FAMET) aeromóviles
Latest changes.
-Tight files RVMAT to arma2.
-Modification of the Config to arma2.
-Modification of the model to arma2.
-General improvement in 3D and textures.

  CRA troops WIP update Screenshots    
Rellikki has informed us about his projects and has released a CRA troops WIP screenshot on the BI Forums.


The units present in the picture are armoured crewmen - Tank crewman and APC crewman. Those, along with many other kind of different looking units, are part of the upcoming updates for my CRA (Chernarussian Red Army) troops addOn. I'm hoping to add a lot of variety for the units to open as many possibilities as possible for mission makers using my addOn. Of course, I'm still all open for new ideas.

  Ballistic Shield by Icewindo Addon release    
Icewindo has released a Ballistic Shield addon in alpha state on the BI Forums.

Ok, here's a ballistic shield I did with O2.
Started out as a two-longer-afternoons-project but I feel I can't finish it completely (in particular the scripting stuff), so consider this a alpha release. It has funtionality though.

edit:
Only one shield works at a time, the damage seems to be "shared" .



The shield will stop about 20 bullets. It is not intended for AI as they don't hold it properly when standing still, however this can be partially fixed by commands like setunitpos "middle" and others, see the example mission.
The Classname is bal_shield, you can also see the mission for adding it. One USMC Soldier with Shield has been added.
If sb. wants to pick this up to script stuff like proper damage values for all calibers or enhance the addon in overall, feel free to do so aslong as you include my name , and if you need MLOD, drop me a pm.

  Various PROPER releases Addon release    
kju has informed us about the release of various PROPER addons. In fact near 90 tweaks has been released on Dev Heaven. net.

Various gameplay, visuals and sound tweaks out. Make sure to read
the readme for each and check the demo images.
