In September, Celery has released an EasyFly script on the BI Forums, this script was "wrote ... to make fixed-wing flying less frustrating". Now, Q has released addon versions as PROPER EasyFly Planes and PROPER EasyFly Choppers on the BI Forums
Unfortunately Celery's nice Easy Fly script didn't get the attention it deserves. It makes chopper and plane use very OFP like in terms of heck rotor / ruder control with higher speeds.
That is very good!
Is this realistic - no idea, don't care. Is it more enjoyable to fly and finally fair to target moving targets while fast flying - hell yes! ... So here are some short videos (2-5 MB) to see the change. I added the effect also for choppers. The script is active for choppers once faster than 40 km/h and for planes 150 km/h. ... 2008-12-07 * Added: CLY_EasyFlyScript GV check. If true plane addon version exists (not the chopper). * Changed: split into Plane and Chopper version / addon. So that people can use only what they want to. * Improved: XEH and script code by rocko - thanks buddy :) * Added: new key and bisign files for the new version.
Stubblehopper informed us that he released two screenshots of his work in progress Waffen SS Hohenstaufen Panzer Crew.
Here's a little something I've been working on lately, waffen ss panzer crewmen. Its still work in progress at the moment, but should be released very soon, to include an officer as platoon commander, a sgt as tank commander and a couple of privates in the form of a gunner and driver in various forms of dress
Floosy has informed us of the release of WIP screenshots of his upcoming Tatawin Island on the BI Forums.
Hi all, i m back.
The SAAF team is dead, since the 29th october :( .
But the project is already active :yay: . And now please notice that the "SAAF project" is the "Floosy Project" lol.
So i have worked on it, and the config is ok, the island is now finished. I'll only test it in multiplayers with the great french team "ADO" http://www.clan-ado.fr/ .
After that you could download it.
And Corsair83, the dedicated video maker from the French ADO clan, informed us about the release of a teasing video about the Tatawin Island on Vimeo
RockofSL from the RKSL Studios has released the next day of his Advent Calendar 2008 with WIP news about Seaking HC.4 and Seaking HAS.6CR.
"Please God Float!" - Royal Navy Utility Seakings
These two models do the same role but are the backbone of the Royal Navy's amphibious capability (Sam - I promise James didn’t pay me to say that). The Seaking airframe has been adapted for many different uses over its life time but these two particular types are optimised for Amphibious Support.
The HC.4 is the dedicated “Commando” variant serving with 845 and 846 NAS. Who’s main tasking is to provide Tactical troop transport and load lifting in support of 3 Commando Brigade Royal marines. The HAS.6CR serves with 846NAS and provides the same function. The reason for the different designation is that the HAS.6 was previously a dedicated Anti Submarine Warfare airframe. ...
IceBreakr informed us all on the BI Forums that L-J-F released his small Daraisolas island.
A small (5km x 5km) island with hedgerows, farms, light and dense forest. There is also a small village and long beaches. It was designed to be small and compact, with plenty of cover but enough space to have support good missions.
One thing that really annoyed me about Sara was a lack of "wilderness", to the north there is such an untouched wilderness, though it's small. Anyway, enough ranting from me.
And then he goes East ! RockofSL from the RKSL Studios has released the next day of his Advent Calendar 2008 with news about East side aircrafts such as the MiG-23MLD, the MiG-29, the Yak-141 and the SU-24.
WIP Day Part 2 - OPFOR Aircraft
Here’s the second of what promises to be a 3 or 4 part WIP report. When you start a project like this advent calendar it seems like a quick and straightforward job. It really isn't. I went through my bulldozer drive looking at the projects that are likely to be completed and I found quite a few. There are of course some that never will be, but others are driven by outside requirements and really do have a damn good chance of being completed.
When I started modding for ArmA I was solely focused on UK projects. At some point along the way someone asked me, “what is the point of making UK/West addons was when there was no decent OPFOR units to counter them.” The idea lodged somewhere in the back of my brain. Some months later during a testing session I started to understand exactly what my friend had said. We were bombing targets with - frankly depressing - impunity. The more advanced and capable we made the UK aircraft the easier the missions got and the less fun it became. So we started looking for ways to bring back some of the balance. We found several options. One was to make the OPFOR more capable too!
